    I moved from a Braun foil shaver to a Philips rotary shaver years ago. Both technologies give a good shave, but the Philips is much more quiet. I find this important as you have the devices near your ears when shaving.

      Just something about shaving in a circular motion to get the most from a rotary shaver bugs me and noise ? I have my sound system and don't even hear them . 😆😂

    Just bought the series 7 today after never hearing the brand Braun. It was an investment but I hope it's worth it. I felt like the series 9 pro was too expensive ( I mean don't get me wrong the series 7 is expensive too but not as much ) and I didn't mind not having the fancy charging case and some subtle upgrades performances that the series 9 pro has compared to the series 7. At the end of the day, all of these shavers shave. But I think series 7 was the best one for me after watching this video. Thank you!

      Go for series 7. I have since 2011 and with cleaning cartridge. No regret. Battery somehow still just kike when I bought it. I shave once a week. It took me few weeks to figurout how to correctly shave with minimum pressure. It works still like new even in 2024. I dont get it how they made it. Im not sure if they make them now too so high quality. But if is breaks I’ll go again for braun 7. Im not sure about higher shavers how good they are.

    They are correct about not having to use the cleaning station and you can clean them very well without but with the cleaning station you just push a button and in a short time it is very clean , except , the mechanisms in the head do not get lubricated so you will have to do that periodically if cleaning with water . The other thing is I want the inside to get dry wich really doesn't matter unless you have to use the shaver in a shot time after cleaning . Then that is more time having to clean stuck hair from the head . Lastly , if the cost of the cleaning and lubricating cartridge is the issue might I suggest at least clean your shaver using water and a provided brush and at least once every month and a half to use the cleaning station so your shaver gets lubricated and cleaned . This way you do not have to spend as much money each year for cleaning cartridges .

    Love ur videos mate :-) Do u have any experience with the BRAUN Series 9 9325s? It is now being sold at a major discount in Germany? Please advice. Many thanks in advance. Also, is a cleaning station is really required? This one comes without it.

      Appreciate the feedback bro! We didnt test that one specifically but they should generallly be pretty identical to eachother. Usually they differ in things like scope of delivery(no cleaning station, cleaning solution etc.) I didnt notice any major differences while checking it out online.

      Hi, if it's still informative I have Braun S9. I have used Braun S3 for like 2-3 years, then changed to S5 for one year but wasn't satisfied. So I bought an S9 and it feels shaving very close to the skin. Love washing station and the faster shaver than S5, maybe it's a small issue regarding the washing cartridge, but it can be cleaned and filled with washing liquid from Amazon.

  • @albertmas3752

    It is important to mention that if your skin is too sensitive and prone to irritation the only way to go is a foil shaver. Having blades not to touch your skin means much less stress on it. Don't get me wrong, you'll still get some irritation but Gillette style blades (don't know the name of the type of shaver in english) and rottary blades can be really hard on sensitive skins. I even had to stop shaving at all because irritation could last for days (sometimes even a week) so I had to use hair trimmers in order to keep my beard in check (it also gives a nice 3 day beard that looks really cool, to be true) but when I needed a real shave, just kept it for important moments.
    In the worst cases foil blades cause irritation for several hours but can use them each 2 days or even daily.

    • @wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195
      @wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for sharing your experience with us! It just amazes me that it can be that different between people. For us(our guys in front of the cam Remo and Chris) foilshavers tend to irritate the skin a bit more. We think its because of the fact that foilshavers get even closer to the skin than rotary shavers. Nevertheless I think its important to try those out to see If you´re good to go with them or not. Thanks for you comment!

    • @wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195
      @wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah.. they skipped the corded use with the more recent models or at least most of them. We GUESS its because of the wet use possibilty and the updated safety standards. We think that they removed that for safety reasons.

    Philips series 5000 is much better than Braun series 9.
    I had first the Braun series 9 and recently the Philips, I can tell with confidence that it is way better at half price.

    • @AHakim-
      @AHakim- 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @wunschgetreu-reviewsmadein195
      My overall comments:
      - better result in less time or equal.
      - less irritation
      - less weight
      - easy cleaning
      - The battery lasts more
      - it has USB type C charging cable vs big electrical adapter for Braun.
      - most importantly, the cost of the shaving head of the Braun machine that was damaged in less than 2 years is less than 10 $ from the complete philips machine 5000. Yes, I bought it at a reduced price "brand new" from Amazon.
      Now, I am confused as I don't know what to do with Braun shaving machine that i can't use it, and it cost me 4 times than the philips machine

    As a philips shaver user all my life, i tried braun 9 flagship a couple of years ago for a month. What a mistake. it felt like shavinng with hair clipper and does not fit to shave face hairs, way too aggressive and irritating the skin.

      I get what you mean. They are definetly a bit more rough on the skin than rotary shavers. Foilshavers tend to get even closer to the skin and that can be irritating. They do provide a bit smoother results but the price they pay for that seems to be the comfort. Thanks for your comment!
