Fun fact about the vine girl, she was originally going to be one of the students in class 1-A and have a minor/supporting role in the story. Ultimately the author concluded that her hair was so hard/time consuming to draw that he had concerns of making his deadlines if she frequently appeared and as such he decided to move her to class 1-B.

I think this and the next episode was the Turning point uraraka became best girl for me her reasons for becoming a hero is so relatible and real and the fact she refused dekus help shows how much she's grown

Though I bet if I saw your avatar / character for this series in a episode I would probably always have a smile on my face as well. ^^ I love this tournament Arc because it introduces a bunch more characters that really truly deserve more flushing out. It even kickstart's a few character arcs that some characters truly needed
Most anime give the protagonist a harem of cute girls. This series gave Izuku a harem of rivals. Bakugo, Iida, Ochako, and Todoroki. And more to come, I'm sure.
I love these eps that can focus on all the side characters. I've liked Mina's design from the get go, but every time she gets screen time I like her character more & more. So you're thinking Deku vs Bakugo in the finale? Yeah, that's the obvious trope route. The real question is would you be excited or disappointed if that doesn't pan out?
I think Shiozaki's quirk and behavior are suppose to mirror Jesus's selflessness and her thorn quirk is suppose to reference the crown of thorns he wore during his cruxifiction.
I do feel bad for Momo, but it just goes to show that even some of the more side characters in this show have the potential to be the strongest. Tokoyami wasn't really shown till this arc but Deku already admits he's super strong

Gen Ed is there to both show-off and to get their chance for getting into the Hero Course. Support Students aren't going to be in the field and they do not aim to be heroes, they are the ones who make gadgets for heroes so for them it doesn't matter if they get a medal as long as they get to show how good inventors they are. Like with Mei, she showed what she can create and how good it works. She doesn't need to win the match.

Okay I know this might not be seen; but my favorite characters were most of all Class A. Each time we would be introduced to another classmate I would say, “I love them instead”. I'd love to have Gravity Manipulation like Chuuya (Bungo Stray Dogs). Changing the gravity of anything you touch, including your own, just sounds amazing. I mean you could make yourself extremely heavy and just crush everything or make yourself very light and jump very high or even fly. Or something like Tanizaki's illusions (also Bungo Stray Dogs)
