It's amazing how far Al has come. From semi-mute Turbo Yoda who would barely speak a complete sentence on MCM while sticking a turbo... on something he often hated, to speaking non-awkwardly for a full episode about his dream build.
Honestly Al, i love your Crown just as much as Hulkosuka, maybe more.

Anyone who has been through the process of building a bucket list car can probably see how and why blokes sell 90% complete or even 100% complete projects for cents on the dollar. It's certainly not for the faint of heart. Big props to you blokes for seeing it through and for meeting what probably seemed like an impossible deadline. It's a beautiful ride, and it'll be a dead set *ANIMAL* on the road 💪🏻

You've got to be brutally honest with yourself on your expectations, and they will be dictated by your abilities and financial pain threshold lol.

As a younger man I have so much respect for Al. I know people always say this kind of stuff but it’s true, he is literally an inspiration (for me).
He comes across as intelligent, curious, meticulous, practical and thoughtful. He talks about mental health, which honestly pretty much every one deals with to some extent in the year 2022. You can see he is clearly surrounded by many friends.
Woody thanks so much for supporting this project in all the ways you do. Almost too many to list, I can confidently say these projects and this TH-cam channel wouldn’t be what they are without you.

I totally understand where you're coming from. Once you go outside of what is commonly available or aftermarket kits, you're on your own to figure out the design and what fits, what doesn't, and what has to be fabricated. Usually there's lots of trips to the wrecking yard for research and test-fit parts, or you're making the guy at the parts store head explode.

Awesome job fellas. I'll take this opportunity to recommend Hoppers Stoppers, they recently upgraded my non existent brake system on my 70 series cruiser, I could have gone down the Bendix path like most TH-camrs recommendation however I wanted to support a small local business. Issues were encountered during the upgrade and the Hoppers team went above and beyond to resolve everything. In addition to supporting a local business I felt that Hoppers could be trusted due to the Skid Factory's positive experience with them too - I was not disappointed. can so relate this build, from the time it takes and things that get in the way. took me 7 and a half years to modify/rebuild my dads car. My ex panel beater work mate got put on a different shift, Mum got cancer and passed away. cringing every time a credit card came in when you have bought bits. But its now registered and we ( my son and I ) have done track days with it and it was all worth it. not the nicest thing as personal transport but always brings a smile to the face of who is driving. Its still a work in progress as you try and get things that were not original to work together. but if it was easy it wouldn't be so rewarding

As someone of approximately the same age as you Al I completely agree with the bucket list build. I'm building what will probably be my last project and I'm not skimping like I would have had to do in the past. It'll take longer, but that's ok as long as I don't die and we don't run out of petrol beforehand!

Fantastic work. And yeah, the division of labor is really understandable. Bravo.

Hopefully I get too see it at rockynats in 2023

I too didn't initially react to Al's trading post reference until woody called him on it. Feeling so old.

Brilliant effort guys, it's been great to watch the build. Time to slaz on some sunscreen, cruise the coast, chomp a kebab and down 18 lemon squashes.
