- Late last year, Triumph announced the Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition, a bike limited to just 765 units of each of the two colours available. Naturally I jumped at the opportunity to own one, so join me as I ride my current 765RS to the dealership and pick up my new bike, then give you my first impressions of it.

Saw it in Kingsnorth before you picked it up, gorgeous! Think I was parked next to you chatting at Ohana run, rocket 3 ? How do you like it now compared to your RS, black to acid yellow is a bit of a jump haha.
Ngl I miss my 2014 675R I ate less wind and the mirrors didn’t vibrate. Clip ons are ok for 2-3 hours then I’m over it. It’s an animal for sure but no one can hang on past 125mph really. I did 155mph on my 675r no problem. Gonna grab that new Puig for it and pray that helps.
Thanks for the video, great initial review. Really tempted to look for a used version of this bike. How is the comfort with the bars and seat, is it a bike you could be on for a few hours without problems
It’s better than I imagined, but with the clip ons and more aggressive riding position it’s still not the most comfortable for a long distance ride. Especially as the wind really does hit you more now as the lights/front cowling offer less protection.
nice review - so the clip ons don't feel super aggressive then? Somewhere between full on track aggresion and the standard RS bars? SUPER curious
That's correct. It's a good middle ground - not sports bike agressive but definitely moreso than a standard 765RS setup.
how much did you lose on the resell, if you do not mind my asking? BTW, congrats on Moto 2, it's a beautiful machine! I miss my Daytona 675, regret selling it

You should have had a ride on the Orange Speed triple behind you 😂!! I had one until last year it’s an absolute beast… but unfortunately a total waste of time in the uk 😢
by waste of time you mean what exactly? Cannot use the power at all? The suspension is too hard? Too big?
Can you switch into track mode on the go? Or if it needs to be stopped to go into track mode, will it start on track mode or does it default to road?
You can change modes on the go, you just have to shut the throttle for a few seconds once selected.
You can only switch to Track mode when stopped. And it does not restart back in track mode when switched off.
You can select all the other modes while riding, but not track mode unfortunately.

@encyclopractica Moto 2 is a limited 765 numbers edition .. is the same as 765 rs 2023 , but has some minor changes/mods from factory .
It’s just so small the tank is so narrow 😢
What’s wrong with u? Your father spoiled you so much as a child that you couldn’t be content on your beautiful bike that u go out and get the same bike ?
