Can't believe how good this tutorial is. It is extremely rare to get a tutorial like this without broken English or loud music in the background with no commentary.
Jaw dropping. I always known that sculpting is a powerful tool. But this video really highlights the amazing potential if you understand the core. Very very interesting video. I could watch that for hours. Thanks.
You saved my life with this one!!! Thank you so so much I was trying to learn hard surfece sculpting (especially the sci fi style) and noone had something decent explaining all this that you did in 5 minutes Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you like it 🙂I think it's an exciting time for sculpting in Blender. Not a lot of people seem to be doing hard surface sculpting in Blender but I think it'll change.
Very impressive your paneling method on the mask. Bravo, very clear. Is there any method like this one to paneling a fuselage, for example an aircraft or anything else like this ? Thank Jan;)!
Yea, this will definitely be a main reference for hard surface sculpting, such efficient and useful video, the curve stroke method is not working like in the video though, can't draw lines
Hello sir. I want to move to blender from other 3d program but have an big problem, I'm using box edit a lot ( name as same on 3dsmax) . I can say half of my modeling is box edit ( there is some bend tools on blender but I don't want negative degree modeling for CNC ). in some video in past I se exact meted of box editing on blender but I don't save it for now. I ask In many blender channels but don't get answer. can you help please?
If you right click -CTRL I think you'll get the result. This draws the curve 2 dimensionally in the viewport. After you've laid it out in 2D, leftclick & CTRL and it will draw the mask from the curve.
Which part? I've used Zbrush professionally for years, but recently I've switched entirely to Blender for sculpting. Try doing retopology in ZBrush, if you want to talk about pain 😅 Plus, I feel that using Curve as a stroke method is really great for hard surface modeling, and it's not available in Zbrush. Don't get me wrong, I like ZBrush a lot. Just curious what you mean.
@@BlenderSecrets With lazy mouse you can mimic that curve for masking easily (store those curves as color, polygroups or even in layers), the remesh feature of zbrush is years ahead of the one you can find in blender, along with the smooth modifiers, zbrush can hold lots of millions more polygons in one single scene, the zremesher with a single click of a button where you can keep polygroups and respect the borders... i`ve used zbrush for around 9 years now, tried to sculpt in blender and i was superworried about zbrush dissapearing... because as i say, in terms of sculpting is years ahead, and its not something strange or odd, zbrush is a sculpting suite, blender is a swiss knife that wants to be a kind of jack of all trades for everything, and that`s maybe to ambitious for a free program, dont get me wrong i use blender for a lot of things, but is far from perfect and has a lot to do to catch up other software in some areas, sculpting is one of them
@@Azzazel_ Remeshing in Zbrush is indeed really amazing. Quad remesher for Blender is made by the same guy, if I’m not mistaken (but the one in Zbrush is probably still better). I don’t think you need to worry about Zbrush disappearing! But I like working in Blender, and I like the mix of sculpting + all other modeling tools. Good news: you’re allowed to have multiple softwares on your computer :-) I have both Zbrush and Blender, and many other apps. They’re all fun.

I feel like I'm learning more in this sculpting series in an hour than I did in a year at school. Thank you!
Thank you! Also check out my robot sculpting course :-)

can't tell you how useful this is , it might take someone 2 or 3 tutorials just to learn what you've shown here , really in-depth methods of sculpting
Thank you

I used to like your videos without even watching it .. coz I know I ll be amazed by the contents .. Thanks a billion 🙏🏻
Very nice. A in-depth video of the previous short videos.
Very clear. Thx.
Из 5-ти минутного видео я узнаю больше, чем из туториалов по 30+ минут. Спасибо! =)
So many incredible tips so quick! You're a genius!
I loved your videos so much I had to buy the book. I’ll probably never use it (prefer videos) but wanted to support your GREAT content. Thank you!

love your videos on this - they are so condensed and break down entire workflows in 5 minutes without being hard to follow
This man is an absolute hero

You need to click to start drawing the curve. Thanks for the compliment!
@@BlenderSecrets Ofc I clicked XD, I created a curve and clicked on "Draw curve" as well but still nothing happens
God bless you man, I really needed this
Awesome work as always! Your channel is really underrated :(
I like the kind of "review" of the last 1 min vids.
Seriously good stuff here!
Yay a longer vid! Amazing tutorials as usual
Really really helpful your stuff! Just got your e-book
Thank you! ❤
can you make a video on using displacement maps on certain parts of the meshs body for detail
do you have any videos on how to retopologize a cylinder Boolean? I didn't see any, you should definitely make one

Superb work
Thanks :-)
very useful
omg GOOD WORK BRO
hi! what dintopo settings are you using in this video.
This is incredible! Is there a way to draw lines on a model like that, but make the lines bump up on top of the model, instead of carving into it?
Every brush can do both add/subtract - for subtract, just hold Ctrl.

How do you texture this model?
how to draw texture on texture?
When I switch to the curve stroke method, nothing happens, I get nothing when I click on the mesh.
I'd like to help, but it's hard for me to know what could be going wrong. Can you sculpt on the mesh with other brush methods?

Coming from zbrush thats look painful....
