Who's still listening and marvelling at the beauty of those harmonies in 2020? Whoever you are, congratulations on your excellent taste! Stay safe and well, Folk 🤗
I showed my Grandma who grew up in the 60s and 70s this song telling her "Look how 60s this looks!!!" She said "Wow" so yeah, very accurate and perfect feel for that time, wonderful job(Of course good job on the song by itself too)
A boring shitty day at work eleven years ago and then THIS comes on the radio! WTF - The greatest psychedelic pop song and video i've heard and seen in years!
I saw them on tv this weekend they sang live very well. Their music it makes me think Mamas and Papas have come back to life ! From Hicksville to New York and now the world I hope they become very popular everywhere.
It's refreshing to see that in the middle of all the CRAP being produced today, there are still people that care about what good music really is. Thank you, Pierces for contributing to preserve the GOOD MUSIC IN THE WORLD!!!!
"God Bless the Pierces, for they are truly glorius," this is good powerful music that harks back to a special time of musical development, it has soul and depth ......
+cool girl i don't want to get weird here..but it's probarly because they haven't sold their souls unlike nicki minaj and stuff -_- but i like them like this.. just i wish they were a little more popular
cool girl no, your not..... The general music buying masses want insipid, unchallenging, moronic "background" music that trends and fashion decree are "good"..... It surprises me that great bands like Suede, Blur, Radiohead, Manic Street Preachers, Pulp etc,etc are as popular due to musical indifference....lll
If I find a way then I will make you stay Maybe one more night if you wanna If I find a rhyme then I would take the time Sing you one more line and it will go like. God bless the world, it's so glorious! God bless the ones we've loved God bless the ones we've lost God bless the world, it's so glorious! I will never die, never die like you.
Great song, summer of love in 1967 is back, this is a throw back to groups like Jefferson Airplane, Fairport Convention, Mama`s & Papa`s, Fleetwood Mac etc.
For me, this has to be one of the best songs of the 21st Century. How can anyone not like the haunting harmonies and hooks? It deserves to be placed in a big film, tv series or advert to get it the (albeit belated) mass exposure it deserves.
I saw them in Hyde park and it was gorgeous to see them outside in the summer but it's not the same as a small intimate venue, you're so lucky! Wish they were more well known.
why, why, why are they so underrated???? They're fantastic, you can listen to ABBA, The Mamas and the Papas, Simon and Garfunkel and The Beatles in just one single band...seriously, they deserve more attention...and Glorious just made it to number 102 in the UK??? Come on!!!
Fantastic.... A band that plays real instruments, sings with passion and as previously mentioned," better than the manufactured dross we hear on a daily basis ". This sound has been missed for so long.
If I found a way Then I would make you stay Maybe one more night if you wanna If I found the rhyme And I would take the time And sing you one more line It would go like God bless the world, it's so glorious God bless the ones we've loved God bless the ones we've lost God bless the world, it's so glorious I will never die, never die like you If I found the boy, the one with golden eyes You know I think I'd haunt you And if I found the rhyme then I would take the time And sing you one more line and it would go like God bless the world, it's so glorious God bless the ones we've loved God bless the ones we've lost God bless the world, it's so glorious I will never die, never die like you I felt his hand today, across my shoulder, I'll kneel down to pray Say afterlife's okay, But it got so lonely when you turned away God bless the world, it's so glorious God bless the ones we've loved God bless the ones we've lost God bless the world, it's so glorious I will never die, never die like you I felt his hand today, across my shoulder, I'll kneel down to pray Say afterlife's okay, But it got so lonely when you turned away I saw his lie today, across my shoulder, I'll kneel down to pray I feel like hell today, But it got so lonely when you turned away I felt his hand today, across my shoulder, I'll kneel down to pray Say afterlife's okay, But it got so lonely when you turned away It got so lonely when you turned away It got so lonely when you turned away
Brilliant, love these girls! GREAT show at The Hotel Cafe last night. Gracious lovely stunningly beautiful girls with real talent! I felt we were watching history in the making!
When I first heard this, I thought it was 'nice'...then when they hit us with the main chorus I was suddenly taken over by major goosebumps and fell in love :)
Incredible sound. Thanks to Levy for writing it. As someone once said they took a sad song and made it better. Buy the new cd. Tell your friends. I have lost faith in mainstream radio when it comes to playing talented artists.
Hooray for The Pierces getting a mention in The Daily Mail's review of Fleetwood Mac's 2013 tour. They're cited as one of the current bands greatly influenced by Stevie Nicks. It's a great review of the concert, so kudos for The Pierces!
Great song - best I've heard in a LONG time - and one that works 100% played acoustically (cross ref several live performances on youtube). Can't wait for the album release.
What an uplifting and inspiring song. Whatever the story behind it, or the meanings we can all draw a reference to it. Best song in the last 5 years for me. Truly beautiful Thank you for creating it and posting it.
Just had my daily play of this great track! Puts me into such a happy frame of mind! Thank you to the Pierces for bringing so much joy! Tis a breath of fresh air! :)
Fantastic song, sung brilliantly by two lovely ladies with great voices. Close harmony as good as Heart, Abba, and on a par with the greatest ever harmony duo the Everley brothers
what a combination! here you can listen to ABBA, The Bangles, and The Mammas and the Pappas altogether with a modern touch. Absolutely wicked! Greetings from Chile ,)
my young children listened to this earlier while we were watching Glastonbury and they loved it,found it just now and will play it to them in the morning which will be a great start to the day!!!:-)
I ve been listening to thsi twice on the radio. The first time i heard it thought it was an old tune but bloody good. Then when I heard it on the second time it was actually sang by the Pierces called Glorious. I love this song. Im glad i found it thanks to Absolute radio
A great melody with beautiful harmonies make Glorious an instant classic. If they can produce more material like this, the Pierces have a very bright future ahead of them.
This is nothing short of awesome. It's rare for a song to make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck nowadays (I'm an old fart) but this does it. Love it. Very 60's.
I saw his light today ,across my shoulder running down to pray, said after-life's OK ,but it got so lonely when u turned away!!!or when she my amazing lady who I care for turned away last week ,can't wait to see her next week boy oh yes!!!!!!!Thursday roll on!!!most amazing woman lady ever ever met

This song SHOULD be more popular, it's beautiful.
Kind of reminiscent of both Abba and the Mamas and Papas, but different... 😄 Bless the Pierce sisters.
They harmonize off each other so well.
how can ppl dislike this piece of art!!!!
I showed my Grandma who grew up in the 60s and 70s this song telling her "Look how 60s this looks!!!" She said "Wow" so yeah, very accurate and perfect feel for that time, wonderful job(Of course good job on the song by itself too)
Yes they are glorious
I love when Allison sings! They both have amazing voices, but it's usually Catherine. It's just nice when they mix it up:)

"God Bless the Pierces, for they are truly glorius," this is good powerful music that harks back to a special time of musical development, it has soul and depth ......
Am I the only one who wonders why they are not more famous?!..
+t0mme1981 i dont really think that effects the music industry that much, my proof, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Arianna Grande etc...
+t0mme1981 >implying modern good male musicians are popular as well
+cool girl i don't want to get weird here..but it's probarly because they haven't sold their souls unlike nicki minaj and stuff -_- but i like them like this.. just i wish they were a little more popular

No doubt. I just saw Coldplay, too, at Hollywood Bowl and the Pierces opened up. I was blown away. They were awesome.

Maybe one more night if you wanna
If I find a rhyme then I would take the time
Sing you one more line and it will go like.
God bless the world, it's so glorious!
God bless the ones we've loved

Great song, summer of love in 1967 is back, this is a throw back to groups like Jefferson Airplane, Fairport Convention, Mama`s & Papa`s, Fleetwood Mac etc.
Simply one of the greatest songs ever recorded.
Such graceful and beautiful women, I love the Pierces, and still listening in 2021
I'm glad i'm not the only one that got the 60's vibe. one of my many favorites from them, I really love Allison's voice in the beginning.
How come this song doesn't have millions of views? So underrated!
For me, this has to be one of the best songs of the 21st Century. How can anyone not like the haunting harmonies and hooks? It deserves to be placed in a big film, tv series or advert to get it the (albeit belated) mass exposure it deserves.
Watched this fantastic band in Oxford , small venue massive sound . Great night , great memories , stunning voices . 👌
I saw them in Hyde park and it was gorgeous to see them outside in the summer but it's not the same as a small intimate venue, you're so lucky! Wish they were more well known.
What a fantastic song, the harmonies in this song make my hair stand on end, it's just so hauntingly beautiful......
Lovely vocals. Not heard often enough. Lindy

November 2020 and I hope to see these ladies live once the world heals.
Best record of the 21st century so far. From a twentieth century boy. :-)

Mega song, perfect harmonics and melody. Why aren't they HUGE??
why, why, why are they so underrated???? They're fantastic, you can listen to ABBA, The Mamas and the Papas, Simon and Garfunkel and The Beatles in just one single band...seriously, they deserve more attention...and Glorious just made it to number 102 in the UK??? Come on!!!

If I found a way
Then I would make you stay
Maybe one more night if you wanna
If I found the rhyme
And I would take the time
And sing you one more line
It would go like
God bless the world, it's so glorious
God bless the ones we've loved
God bless the ones we've lost
God bless the world, it's so glorious
I will never die, never die like you

God bless the world, it's so glorious
God bless the ones we've loved
God bless the ones we've lost
God bless the world, it's so glorious
I will never die, never die like you
I felt his hand today, across my shoulder,
I'll kneel down to pray
Say afterlife's okay,
But it got so lonely when you turned away
God bless the world, it's so glorious
God bless the ones we've loved
God bless the ones we've lost
God bless the world, it's so glorious
I will never die, never die like you
I felt his hand today, across my shoulder,
I'll kneel down to pray
Say afterlife's okay,
But it got so lonely when you turned away
I saw his lie today, across my shoulder,
I'll kneel down to pray
I feel like hell today,
But it got so lonely when you turned away
I felt his hand today, across my shoulder,
I'll kneel down to pray
Say afterlife's okay,
But it got so lonely when you turned away
It got so lonely when you turned away
It got so lonely when you turned away

I'm normally not so keen about music like this, but the harmonies and key-changes are delicious.
