I remember watching this show with my grandparents, in the 80s and through to the mid 90s. Looks like the show had gone downhill by the 2000s. They were scraping the barrel, me thinks.
It is extremely sad that no one on the show researched Nikki's life story. Nikki looks so skeletal which is a sign the cast should have picked up on. When Cilla said, "It could be for a lifetime," she never knew that Nikki's life would end in such a shocking way. And the guy who went on the date should have researched her history and then perhaps he could have helped her to overcome her eating problems. A huge travesty.
I didn't think she looked that skinny here, she was very young. Them all taking the mick out of her calling her dumb and skinny definitely didn't help with her mental health
