This was a famous live album recoded in Long Beach, CA. If you listen closely when the Big Chief comes out and James says: “Well that’s rather something, one bass singer complementing another.” The Big Chief yells: “That was no congratulations.” Chief and JD, though ‘rivals’ were good friends!
Thank for posting this. I had this album on 8-track years ago but my tapes were stolen. Can you post the live recording of The Old Country Church from this album? I think it includes Big Chief joining them in I'm Redeemed. Hope your surgery goes well.
Actually, Old Country Church was from On Tour.... it was live and I believe if you check, I have the entire One Tour album in my videos... because of that song, I made a good living during the 90's when I sang with The Blackwood Brothers.... lol.... that album sold 26,000 LP'S in the first 6 weeks because of that song.
