The hill is great for preventing hangovers in the first year… stone cold sober by the time you’ve walked back up top 😂
Not so great for a 9am seminar/lecture when you’re living in town😂

Many students make the mistake of walking Penglais Hill to the main campus with suitcases. Better to get a taxi or bus up the hill. I was over in Llanbadarn.

Thanks for the video, I'm actually planning on applying there for September 2024 so this video came at a good time.
Definitely get up there for an open day, I heard nothing but good things while I was there. Teachers were lovely. Just a little too small for what I think I I want to experience! Everyone was really kind!
@@emilyjoansmith That's good advice, I would go for an open day but I've actually been twice already in the past as my friend was a student at Aber back in 2019 and i stayed at his place for the weekend. I was just a bit worried that covid or other factors might have caused the university and the area to get worse like it did in a lot of places but it seems to still look pretty good based of the video.
But yeah like you've inferred, its definitely not a place for everyone, I'm just more introverted and less about the city life so it seems to suit me. Hope you end up somewhere you enjoy. That said, if you're into a place with a really good night and social life I'd definitely recommend one of the Leeds uni's.
A lot of the students I met at Aber definitely identified as introverted. So I’m sure you’ll fit in and love your time there!

My best friend studied in Leeds and loved it.
I love a bit of both worlds, I’m introverted but also love exploring/ meeting new people. I’ve accepted a place at Liverpool Hope so will be going there in September! Nervous and excited!
1st night you did not sleep because of lack of food and how did the 2nd night go!!.
I didn’t sleep much because I went out to the clubs but I definitely slept much better!

Hi there! I didn’t end up studying at Aberystwyth. But at most unis you should be able to get part time jobs! Best of luck on your learning journey!
