I'm 18 minutes in and I'm 1000% certain Filian has only mentally absorbed like 30 seconds of the episode . XD

he's a literal machine, he can remember anything he wants at any time
even if he can't, he can still etch it into the environment or tag the AIs
@@securitycheesehostage7542 Given that Cain seemed horrified by the possibilities if he didn't kill him, I'm gonna assume that there's another reason he's keeping secret for whatever reason
It's possible that when Caine was saying the AI "should be 57 times more immersive", it was a reference to Todd Howard saying "16 times the detail", a.k.a. a marketing statement that doesn't mean anything, and therefore not true
So maybe Digital Circus NPCs were always this realistic, and perhaps NPC bodies are the vessels that the humans exist in 🤔
And, assuming those things are true, it would make sense that Caine might have accidentally vanished a human before, and felt really bad about it
He did say in Episode 1 that "one of the only things I don't have control over are your minds", though he may not mean that in a literal sense
It might be that he's programmed to not be allowed to do anything to human minds, and as long as he's aware that you're human, he can't do anything to you (which is why all the abstracted people are in the cellar instead of being deleted)
But if he gets confused as to whether someone is a human or an NPC, he might perform tasks meant for NPCs on a human, instantly making them abstract from how horrifying that would be, or, again, he might have simply deleted a human mind somehow

@@Oh-five-six-nineMy guess is that he has a safeguard built in that prevents him from deleting or editing human minds, but due to the cast being uploads there is no actual tangible difference between humans and NPCs. The "forget who is human and who is an NPC" isn't simply a matter of physically forgetting which person is which, it's him mentally agnknowlaging that humans and NPCs are equally sapient and deserving of life (or something like that).
In short, if Caine were to actually agknowledge that NPCs like Gumigoo are the same as humans, his internal safeguard would prevent him from deleting NPCs and require him to care for them which would mess up his ability to function since every singe NPC he creates would effectievly be a new human he needs to care for. This might include the big goopy monsters like the Gloink Queen or The Fudge. The also feels he needs to create NPCs for their adventures to keep the humans sane.
So the "who knows what could happen" isn't because something has happened before in his past, it's because he knows that he needs to create and destroy NPCs to keep humans sane, but if he acknowledges that NPCs are similar to humans he would have to care for them as well and the whole system would break down and everyone would start abstracting or have stuff like The Fudge of Gloink Queen mess up everything.

Imagine you go to watch a film with your partner, as you already watched it yourself and now curious what they would think about it, but then you have to stop it every 10 minutes because your partner wants to talk to her mom on the phone, explaining what has happened in the movie each time.
Sometimes I wonder if Filian even cares about what she is watching. Gummigoo was mentioned twice, and she didn't catch it at all because she was too busy making weird unrelated jokes.

well in my opinion about this episode, it is that... I loved!
it's not just everything about this episode that I loved, it's also because of this one reference scene!

Awesome history animator fact: The scene at 8:50 of Pomni stretching her arms and her legs shrinking between two trucks is more of a reference to Scrat at the end of the climax in Ice Age 2 made by Blue Sky Studios.
which is more of a coincidence since the lead animator of "The Amazing Digital Circus", Kevin Temmer, was indeed an employee animator at the sadly now defunct Blue Sky Studios (the same animation studio that created the Ice Age franchise, Rio, The Peanuts Movie and many more!) working on only 3 movies for the studio before it was shut down: Ice Age 5, Ferdinand and Spies in Disguise!
so in a way, Glitch Productions (the same team behind SMG4 TH-cam videos) contacted and hired a Blue Sky Studio animator!

I'll be honest, she's definitely improving as a React Andy, at least in comparison to the trainwreck of the first episode watching. She's still got a ways to go, though. She REALLY needs to learn to stop talking over dialogue, and pay attention more. I'm honestly impressed she was able to understand as much as she did with all the dialogue she missed. But she did start getting into the habit of pausing when she wanted to say something, which is good. I recommend backing up a few seconds after doing so. Also, when you're watching something, please, kill the alerts and TTS, they're just gonna interrupt more. Positive note, though: when Filian does react to something big, boy does she react! One of the best reactions to Gumigoo's poofing I've seen. And that's what people come to see, your reaction. Hope she improves more next time.
