It feels like Jamie has just made things a whole lot worse for himself by not cooperating! Let's see if they end up connecting him to John Dutton's death. What did you think of this episode? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
my take is Jamie and Beth are going to have a huge show down which Beth is shot by Jamie but try's to finish her off when Kayce puts himself in front of his gun to save Beth but is fatally shot, the only guy who can save the ranch is Jamie, he was not in on the hit so he really has nothing to worry about, Kayce didn't kill the hitman thats interesting because its out of character but told him he could kill his family and for Kayce to be so aggressive in front of his kid was strange, I think he's going after the owners of market equity i have thought for a while Jamie will save the ranch and it needs the spark for Jamie to bring out that real heavy lawyer in him and I think that spark is accidentally shooting Kayce who never wanted to believe Jamie could kill john, when Jamie was talking to Sarah about a hitman was more to take out beth, it will be the thing Jamie needs to sort out the governor its why Sarah hooked up with Jamie because they seen him as a huge problem as he's an ass kicker or was I'm fairly sure Beth will be shot by Jamie and Kayce will be killed but uncertain if its saving Jamie or saving Beth but it will be his redempsion Rip, Beth and Tate will own Yellowstone I don't see a season 6, my 2c, based on by watching ep 13 trailer and some spoilers I've read
The ONLY way to save the ranch is implicate Market Equities in the assassination. Jamie goes to jail, ME pulls out of Montana, the slimey new Governor rescinds the 'eminent domain' order. Beth & Rip have their 'family ' with Carter. Kayce, Monica & Tate live happily for a change. Sheridan comes back in a couple years with 'Yellowstone 7th Generation'
@lukelucky1311 True, but there's evidence around that Jamie can't get his hands on. The detective says there's a bomb about to go off. Market Equities involvement with Sarah Atwood [remember, not her real name] gets exposed. ME Board of Directors run away from Montana project.
No one goes in to a stall to fetch a water bucket with a dangerous horse and if you are that stupid you put the full bucket just inside the door and then shut it.
I had a horse or better stated my Aunt had her first horse who I took care of for a week during her vacation He would try and kick u if u didn’t pay attention but yo it’s a horse his kick is deadly so Idk this didn’t track for me I mean suddenly the horse is on a rampage but takes a time out until the second guy finds? Suddenly the horse is peak aggressive? Lmao bud I know it’s tv but come on
First Colby’s agent negotiated a kill off he obviously had another job lined up 2nd the way Taylor did it bought it all back to ranching to show what happens day to day on a ranch I think he did a good job with this. It’s life on a ranch and Taylor is showing that by the way he ended his character and showed people the things cowboys go through.
Taylor cannot stop wanking his own self off. His ideology on ranching and cowboys. To his millions of dollars of ranches and performance horses he has. I’d say his $90 steak restaurant in vegas and his four sixes ranch in Texas is haemorrhaging money daily. Hence the shameless advertising every episode. Just my two cents.
The most viable option available to the Dutton family to save their family's legacy is to donate all of their land, or sell it back to the Broken Rock Tribe. The Yellowstone is currently classified as fee-simple land, so it's not exempt from federal taxes and other fees. Donating the land or selling it back to the Tribe would put the status of the Yellowstone into a tax exempt federal trust status under the care and jurisdiction of the Tribe. This scenario would entirely take out the the airport project, preserve the land, and it would also complete the promise to the Broken Rock Tribe that was made by the patriarch Dutton character in the 1883 prequel series. I've considered this theory for a while and there are a plethora or real life instances where this same legal process has been utilized to protect land from real estate projects by private companies.
@@dmacarro Which episode was Beth talking about 'landmark status'? Seemed like a meaningless line at the time. But, a lot of meaningless lines come back to be important.
@timliebhauser exactly! How about when she called 6666 and found out how much beef they processed and sold? That was never mentioned again. Sounded like a money maker.
@WickedFireBird69 With absolutely all respect to your perspective I humbly ask why can't any of this cow drive stuff wait narratively speaking? None of it is more important than seeing what happens to The Yellowstone. And if introducing the audience to a spin-off is more important to Sheridan than that well...
@@browncoat516 It's like you're expecting a helmeted kid to go to Harvard. Be realistic, this show is BEYOND dead. I only watch it b/c of my girlfriend and her Mom liking Rip
Couldn’t agree more. I don’t understand why show writers panic at the end of every freaking show and make brash bad decisions. Game of thrones, Walking Dead, Lost. Now Yellowstone. I wish I was a movie writer
Most deaths in life are. Actor probably wanted to go do something else, and just return behind the scenes for a reunion. Or the budget got cut, or something.
I know Taylor Sheridan actually bought the 6666 ranch, but this is Yellowstone, and he’s focused on his ranch more than the drama of Yellowstone that we’re tuning in for
It started to be a 6666 24/7 advert as far back as S4. And then all of the wasted time trying to line up the endless cross-over shows and sequels and prequels. He ruined Yellowstone by getting too big for his britches, taking on way too many projects, trying to cross-sell them, looking for endless write-offs for his purchases by using them in the show. In addition to 6666, all those fancy horses are also Taylor’s personal horses he can write off. And a huge part of the issues with Costner were related to Taylor screwing about with all of his projects and refusing to have anyone write for him. He had to do it all himself. So, everything got delayed. And he’s expecting his people to just sit and wait. All while writing endless plot holes. Lug nut boy. Sarah Atwood having some ID in her purse with a different name and a bunch of mystery on who/what she really was, only later being just outside counsel to ME. Her actually seemingly liking Jamie despite allegedly hired to be a plant and get inside him. Tate’s horse that we never saw again. Not a plot hole, but Tate in general and his terrible dialogue and lame “ew stop kissing” idiocy and him bathing way too much with his creepy mom. Including telling her his pee pee is like a board. Overuse of the phrase “you smell like a goat”. The dead Yellowstone wolves, which evaporated into nothing. And like 500 other things that became plot sinkholes. Plus the constant “cowboys are a dying thing” sidebars. Do a documentary on that if it’s so important to discuss. Yellowstone was so great Season 2. Then Taylor began unraveling it.
I’m in it til the end. I was bummed to see Colby get killed but I can see the realism in that type of situation. It gives us a chance to also see the grit these characters are made of. They do not mourn. They don’t weep in quiet moments. They work and whatever they feel, they do it through the work. Many cowboys lost in ranch business. It is a way of life. RIP Colby.💛
Here’s my theory on the conclusion of the series: Yellowstone relies heavily on the history of the Dutton family. So much, in fact, that there have been not one, but two prequels. I think, in the end, the Duttons will return the land to the tribes that lived there before they arrived. It would make the circle complete. And with the land as a trust to the tribes, it could be preserved forever.
I agree. I believe it will go back to the Indian tribe. Beth and Rip will move on to have their own ranch and return to the upcoming series of the four sixes (6666) show in which they will take the rest of the ranch hands with them and start over.
Tates lineage and the proximity to the reservation.. along with the elder telling John at the end of 1883, that valley would be😢 "taken back" in 7 generations.. Tate IS that 7th. The Duttons will stay, operating the ranch business in a federally protected arrangement and partnership with the Nation of Standing Rock
I am loving Kasey and Mo partnership! Love seeing the Native cast and their stories. Taylor does a great job of incorporating their culture and beliefs. Why can't this be a spinoff too? Just putting that out there! :) So proud of Kasey as a BA and protecting his family. Loosing Colby was a waste and shame - could have made Cole realize his family in another way, really. Jamie the worm is wriggling away and so glad the detective saw through his act. Really showed the mental shut down of Jamie that he gets arrogant and does not realize he is getting special treatment already for his office.
There is one very important detail which you left out. When in the tack room, Beth told Carter about her pregnancy. That is definitely going to get back to Rip. He will confront Beth about it, and she will spill the beans about Jamie being responsible for her being sterile. Goodbye, Jamie.
Yes, it served a purpose. Everything these writers include serves a purpose. Why do you think they had that seemingly meaningless exchange between Rip & Lloyd about that wild horse?
It was sad. When a series or game or film makes you feel anything other than disappointment or frustrated it’s a good thing similar to when they killed off Kieran in RDR2. He didn’t need to die but his death was tragic and full or rage
everything has a purpose he died protecting Carter which is why Rip was telling Llyod and Ethan to start selling and these episodes are heavy on the death with the ranch on the verge of being killed John being killed, that chick being killed last episode, tetter almost dying because she had a rattlesnake on her chest the multiple deaths flags surrounding Kayce.
I'm sure Colbys death was planned long before Johns. I'm certain Taylor has a plan for this choice... but it still hurts! I feel bad for Carter too, because now he carries the same guilt Beth has carried for her Mother.
And the guilt Rip has for killing the one cowboy when he was younger. That’s when he was branded. I do believe John told him he would never be able to leave the ranch.
Except we get the contradictory behavior of Beth telling Carter how she dealt with the trauma of death ‘was to be with family.’ Carter replies that he doesn’t have any. Then THE SAME WOMAN WHO TOLD A YOUNG BOY NOT TO CALL HER ‘mom’, she says ‘Yes, you do.’
@ I think she has regrets from the abortion she had & with Jamie making the decision of letting the Dr perform the hysterectomy on her, she doesn’t know how to let herself love & show love to Carter. It most, likely isn’t smart to describe her like I’m going to, but she’s like a rescued pet that has been loved & abused by its owner. She wants to love Carter, but the pain of the choice she made when she was a teenager & the choice Jamie made on her behalf, has traumatized her. At least that is my opinion. I could be totally wrong, but it’s my opinion.
I love your breakdowns. I think we are getting another season. I was thinking about that earlier, but hearing Rip tell Loyd that he needs him to run the ranch to rebuild; makes me think we are going to have season 6. Or possibly Yellowstone Ranch will have cameo's in another series. Maybe wishful thinking but who knows. Love this show so much. RIP Colby
I think Sheridan is just “testing the waters” with us Yellowstone fans, just to see if the series CAN SURVIVE with the remaining cast of characters and without the presence of Kevin Costner’s character being killed off? We’re just gonna have to wait and see what happens at the end of this season if there will be a season 6 or a spinoff?? It will all come down to the tv ratings…..
@@robertjaime6808 It's up to Paramount. If the ratings or high they will want more. They wanted him to do another season of 1883. One of the top characters was killed off. (Elsa Dutton) Would have made hard to do another season.
They did Colby and Teeter wrong! Would love to see them progress. You had " nobody" characters that the actors brought to life and we really cared about them. I am still teary eyed everytime I think about them. Thank you Denim and Jen. If you kill Jimmy....
Yeah, at the end of last night's episode, Jimmy's hanging out with the rest of them, yucking it up with his new girlfriend, while the previous girlfriend that he wronged is probably in some alley with a needle sticking out of her arm in disappointment. That sort of pissed me off.
There is one thing being overlooked. In past conversations, Beth had an interest in meat processing plants. It's big money for a plant and a big cost eliminator as well.
She called the 4 6’s ranch to find out about selling beef, even though that’s where she was driving to surprise Rip. Then to the cop who stopped her while she was speeding , she then acted like she didn’t know anything about that ranch🤷♀️
I, too, thought the selling of beef on the internet was going to save the ranch but Rip started selling all the cattle in Texas and I believe Lloyd said there was only 500 head left at the ranch. I now think the land goes back to the Indians.
I’ve seen a thousand scenes where one guy threatens another. But when Kayce did it to Grant I actually held my breath. The sheer menace and command he had froze me in my tracks.
Casey did not kill Grant as Grant was one of his own in terms of being ex military. Grant was special tactics and when in the back of Grants car, Casey mentions he was in teams, so Grant understands Casey himself is also dangerous along with the connections Casey has to find Grant. This is why Casey's friend who provided the information on Grant to Casey tells Casey to destroy the phone they communicated on along with the Intel sent to Casey. Casey knows Grant is ex CIA and killing Grant will make things much worse including his reputation within the military teams community still serving or working as private contractors. Casey seems to have been a very disciplined individual within the military including following codes of honor and the brotherhood of the military. The whole conversation with Grant was a heads up, i cannot touch you at the moment, but you also know i can get to you at anytime.. If you come after my family, cleaning up after the John Duttons death. Grant does not know who Casey is, and given Grant is ex CIA were intel is important, the fact Grant doesn't know the son of John Dutton or his background, tells me the Killing of John Dutton was specifically isolated to John Dutton only, so who ever planned the hit, seems to know very little about the Dutton family including Casey's who always flys under the radar as a Dutton child. .
This whole dumb move by Casey, and I say dumb because he threatened the man in front of his own kid and threatened the kid too. Casey is smart and sure he could have gotten a better time but you don't threaten women and children, that's an awful look. But this is gonna come back and kill many of them I bet, the DUttons and friends.
Nope i disagree this was mire for affect - kayce sends a message straight to the top by confronting grant and a family member - grant was frozen - good move
With just two episodes left, and only about 10 minutes of meaningful plot development per episode buried under irrelevant filler, we're looking at a mere 20 minutes to wrap up the entire story. How on earth are they going to pull that off?
The way the story is going, they aren't. There's most likely going to be a season 6. While Paramount hasn't said whether or not season 5 will be the end of the series, the trailer that ran after episode 12 said that there was just one episode remaining until the "SEASON finale". Either they made a huge error by not putting "series" or this really is a season finale and we'll get another season after this. Guess we'll find out in 2 weeks.
I absolutely agree, that was not a good part in adding to the drama of YS. NO NEED TO KILL OFF COLBY , I FEEL IT WAS A VERY BAD NEGATIVE TO THE SHOW ! 👎 Would have made it more interesting if Casey had cornered the hit guy alone, and Casey either killing him, but tortured him and got more info, even though he knew at that point
He did it because Colby’s agent negotiated a kill off of his character also the way Taylor did it brought it back to what ranching is all about and what these guys really do and go through in real life. He did a good job bringing it back to real life cowboy work.
I loved seeeing that bald dude get the sh*t scared out of him. That was great.. also enjoyed that Kacey’s counterpart is that sage Indian man wonderful! Really enjoyed seeing that B Sara get hers that was SOA style and I loved it!
When Kayce was telling that girl in the backseat what a piece of garbage she had for a father while he's pointing the gun right at her, that was a new level of rage.
It was a bad look IMO. Even some of the worst gansters back in the day would never bring women or children into it. Caseys so smart you'd think he could have found a better time where it wasn't with the daughter. But to threaten her was brutal. I think this will be the demise of many Duttons now.
@@BrainPilot , kc don't want to live in fearing about his family life. so he did what he think necessary. is to face the snake head and level up with him.
@@Flexb123 , in order to stop a dangerous person, you need to be crazier than him for real. i understand why kc need to do what he did. also he is in the position to level up with the one most dangerous person ever..
I'm over it. All my hopes and dreams for the show and the direction it was going have been crushed. Especially all the BS you gotta go through and pay for jist to watch a crap ending. I hope Taylor doesn't ruin 1923 or 6666s. Not sure 6666s will even happen now.
S5E12 was a letdown. In previous episodes, I enjoyed the ranch stories, but they were annoying with all of the drama going on around John & Sarah's murders as well as the feud between Beth & Jamie. Colby was harmless. I hope this doesn't mean the end of Teeter. I'd like to see her in a spinoff if there is one.
No one can be happy. If you really love someone, they will die suddenly and senselessly! I have open have called this show Bonanza meets The Sopranos! I can hardly wait for it to be over!
I didn't think about it last night, but now I'm thinking, in some way johns death was like this huge weight lifted off of Beths shoulders, allowing her to finally be humbled and change course emotionally, even though that wild fire still burns towards Jamie.
and the completely tragic thing about jamie is that its not even his fault. he was just trying to help his sister out of a sticky situation when he took beth to the tribal clinic, he didnt know they were going to sterilize her.. i dont think he did it on purpose.
@@mrinvader noooo.....he definitely knew, they told him, he just decided not to tell her. But still, why the fuck didn't the clinic tell her? He legitimately was trying to help, he just made a bad judgement. I always thought that was a sloppy way to create hostility between the two
Here’s a plot twist that would keep it going. Consider this ; John Dutton has a cousin in Argentina. She and her husband had just recently sold their land to developers (on their terms) and came out filthy rich. Developers had tried every dirty trick in the book to abscond their immense acreage, but she seemed to always be two steps ahead (she’s even smarter than Beth). When things got rough, her husband, who was former delta force, made sure that wasn’t going to work. News travels to them about the death of John Dutton so they travel to the states to save the land and do battle with developers. Joining ranks, the cousin (played by Kate Winslate) teaches Beth how to be cunning whilst be stealthy (a skill she learned from her delta force husband, played by Idris Elba). Idris teaches kayce and Rip the finer, more efficient ways of doing battle. A new alliance is formed that includes the Native Americans. They defeat the factions that be and not only save the Yellowstone, but bring it into untouchable fiscal prosperity. That’s how you end it. Now THATS a show!
It doesn't end. Paramount curiously said that there is one episode left to the final "season ending" episode. They did not say "series". Thus, I think this continues and we will have to continue to watch the awful story writing of Taylor again just to see the conclusion of what started out to be a great show.
What was Kayce packing at the ranch? It looked like explosives. Monica caught a glimpse of it I thought. And why was Mo helping Kayce at the end of the episode? And what about Tate saying he didn't want to bury Kayce at all? It seems cryptic. 😕
Feels like that and looks like that. Even the way he responded to Johns Death "really, what happened" was so nonchalant. I feel like he let it get personal and letting it show during the episodes.
I actually ugly sobbed when they killed off Colby, so abruptly. I cried less for John Dutton. When Jake finds out and then tells Teeter, they don't even know about John yet by the sounds of it. Ps f*** yeah Kayce doing it stealth style. The little creeper was scared. I knew it was him he was talking to in the car, not Jamie. Bet they move quick to cover their asses. Jamie watch out whoop whoop. You've got a back of the head punch coming and you know it.
@marythrower7055 you reckon? Having the last episode as reference when asking about why they were packing up the cows again, and the fact that when Rip asked Taylor Sheridan's character if he'd heard the news of Johns passing, he said about being in Texas and not knowing anything about anything, and then telling Jimmy, I thought maybe they all didn't hear either and won't find out about it all until they get back home or see Jimmy or T.S character first. As in the first episode Rip doesn't elaborate during Beth's phone call, he just says something's happened. Unless it happened off screen or when they return for Colby and John's funerals? You may be right I just see a lot of uncertainty if they knew they'd probably be upset or asking for jobs at the 6666 ranch?
It just wasn't enough breaking our hearts ending Yellowstone bc certain people couldn't get along or what ever was the excuse to dragging our hearts through horse shit by killing off characters. Smdh. They could have gave those characters, we have grown to love, a life outside of Yellowstone. Js
jamie death in the story is boring and predictable. another plot twist will keep people stick on this series. making more money and interest since kevin costner exit.
Colby's death was unnecessary, and needless. However, in real life, I've seen a few unnecessary and needless deaths. Someone wasn't paying attention to something that they should have been, someone tried to save someone from a bad spot and died themselves, someone went to do something, and it ran out of control, etc. Reflection of real life. Sometimes, these things just happen. Someone was happy, laughing, and joking, and a minute later, they're dead.
When Kayce’s military buddy told him about Grant. He didn’t say “We found the guy. His name is Grant”. Instead he says to Kayce “You remember Grant from operations?” Kaycee says yes. So Grant is someone he knows from his time in the military. But when Kaycee gets into Grants car and points a gun at Grant’s daughter he asks Grant if he knows who he is and Grant says he doesn’t.
It seems like Casey (spelling?) tracking down the hitman/mercenary was far far too easy. Surely a man like that would have gone to the ends of the earth from preventing people from finding out who and what he really was.
The guy runs a “security firm” which requires a license he would need to give his finger prints in order to obtain said license. He’s obviously ex Navy Seal like Kayce and Cade as they know him. Cade knew who would take that kind of work and has the connections to get his DOD file.
Indeed, I haven't seen the spisode but did Kace find him IN Montana, because I had thought Sarah Atwood had flown to New York or LA to arrange the hit on John.
I anticipate since they have been pushed into a corner with no way out for the ranch they will give the ranch to the reservation as a final F U to the corp and to fulfil the Dutton family promise of allowing the natives to keep their burial grounds.
If you watch all of Sheridan's shows. You notice several actors are flowing between all of the shows. That's what I think about Colby's death. I think he was just needed for something else .
@@marythrower7055 Haven't read that anywhere. He says he was told he was being written off back in May and the season wrapped up filming a couple of months ago. His next project is as writer director of a movie but it doesn't appear to have started yet.
I'm still going to finish, but it's hard not to be disappointed. The show started so well as a cowboy mafia drama. It's just so obvious that the show suffered as a result of the 1000 projects Sheridan is working on. This is a GOT level of dip in quality to me.
It’s part of the show! She is the one that changes him from going down the road his family did and being bad to making him a family man and breaking the cycle. 🙄 I swear yall don’t pay attention.
I like how Kasey kept using his military background and resources to intimidate. I forgot the exact quote by Kasey , " ive done 12 years in the group do you know the amount of people i know that could get to you" something like that
I understand it better after watching a few videos on the natives counting coup and reading some comments on here and Reddit. You need to listen and read in between the lines of what Kayce was saying, as someone said his letting Grant aware he has presence not only in the physical (through the navy seals team community) but the spiritual as well and counting coup is more deeper than threatening an enemy while showing restraint. He told Grant before glock knocking his head “counting coup” that he will trade his family for his; the family he is referring to is not the ranch or Beth but Monica and Tate, if you remember he had to choose a path and once he does everything will become clear. Therefore meaning by doing that action on Grant he took a piece of his soul which he stated to him so not only did he trade his families lives spiritually (to prevent them from harm) but also will know if Grant tries anything again he as Kayce has marked him.
I joked about that every time this woman Beth called ‘resilient and brave’, ‘Here comes the whine, pass the cheese plate.’ Sheridan makes two kinds of women, needy and crazed
Based on the episode where Beth visited Rip at the 6666 ranch amd was impressed by the respect the ranch got and the fact the bar they visited had "no tourist" . I feel Rip and Beth will move down there and start a life there.
Ahhh another boring episode where Shierdan jumps the shark I really feel like he just wrote bullshit down and decided to fuck the show over as a whole because of his beef with Costner Shows are remembered by the last season and its clear season 5 is avsolute dogshit
I agree. It's kinda like Game of Thrones wherein the early seasons were good but the last season was sh*t and as such, nobody wants to rewatch it, unlike The Sopranos which people still love to rewatch.
You sound more like you care more about Costner than Yellowstone. Costner did leave him with a hole to cover up. Costner would of been better off staying with Yellowstone. Than making that bust of a movie, Horizon. He might could of traded with Sheridan to do some of the writing.
I think Sheridan had too many irons in the fire, working too many projects at the same time. I feel he was tiring of writing for Yellowstone after his disagreements with Costner came to a head. There was lots of sloppy writing. I think these latest episodes are Sheridan letting the series crash and burn so he can just be done with it and walk away. As a writer, when you enjoy what you are doing, it's a pleasure. When you stop loving what you do, it is just hard work. There is no more joy in it. He and Costner both have massive egos and share the blame.
@DatBoiChris420 Another Pulitzer Award winner criticizing Yellowstone's writers. Surprised you have time to watch TV with your busy schedule as a successful playwright.
Killing off Colby was just mean, and totally unnecessary. It didn't move the plot along at all. This is our reward for putting up with all the BS the producers of the show have put us through?
This season has been so unremittingly dark, when in the past they'd at least had a few lighter moments to give the audience a chance to breathe, and often those moments were the result of the relationship between Colby and Teeter, so killing him off right after he told Teeter he loved her and she told him she loved him seemed so pointlessly cruel. It also seemed somewhat ridiculous that with as many shootings as happen on Yellowstone that Colby went in the stall without any kind of firepower in case the horse did decide to go after him---or, frankly, that Colby didn't simply shoot the horse instead of just trying to distract him while Carter escaped, considering the fact that he'd already been deemed extremely dangerous, which made him fairly useless and thus worthless. The conversation between Carter and Beth was lovely, but I don't think it was worth losing the Colby--Teeter relationship.
Did anybody notice it says there's only 2 episodes to go for the SEASON to end, not the Series? And the biggest battle has yet to be fought, and that is with the reservation. And Costner is surely missed.
A thin review, "Brain Pilot". Kayce's handling was beyond perfect. He avoided a war. That clown knows if Kayce is killed, Kayce's friend will enact mutually self-assured destruction. How did you not pick up on that????
Nah, it was a horrible move. You don;t threaten a man in front of his kid and then threaten his kid. I don't see or know what's coming ahead but I bet this gets alot of Dutton and friends killed.
@@Flexb123 You DO realize that Grant doesn't have the market cornered on assassins, right? Kayce has already positioned HIS SEAL guys as a counter measure. If Grant is dumb enough to live in the same state where he killed the Governor, he needs to just respect the current situation or what? Lose HIS family and company b/c his ego is hurt that Kayce didn't throw him a party for killing Kayce's Father????
@@StarfieldRailway You sound like you feel bad for Grant! Kayce wasn't going do anything!!! He was essentially calling a truce before it escalated. Are you just projecting b/c you have a daughter?
I love the quick responses in the comments. Some speculate, some get emotional with who was killed off etc. ITS FICTION FOLKS! Writers want to keep us talking to develop interest hence viewers. Viewers = $$$$. Those who chastised Sheridan don't have a clue. If they did, well they'd be successful writers wouldn't they. Sheridan is someone special, a talent that comes around once in a generation. Just enjoy the show and move on.
I agree. Remember when they did the flashback of James Dutton and his boys being approached by the Indian tribe to burry their father on his land…..this is how the show will end. With the Duttons having the Indians take back the land to preserve and maintain it with zero chance of the state or the feds encroaching on it. Perfect way to keep it pristine. The next generation of Yellowstone could be the kids such as tate trying to get it back.
Colby was one of the most likable characters on the show. But it’s one of the few times on the show where the dangerous side of working as a ranch cowboy was shown to be dangerous. For most of the series the characters were more at risk for for soap Opra nonsense then the dangers from working as a ranch cowboy.
No he’s not 🤣 John was good friends with his grandfather and he ask John to help Jimmy so as a favor to him and because they were good friends that what he did.
Back on 1886 series prequel when the daughter was dying from the arrow infection Elder Dutton met with an Indian Chief who said roughly you can use this land and ranch for four generation and then we are taking it back.I think the answer how it ends is somehow the indians thru government grants get to reclaim the land ,not the Giant builders company .We will see.
I reckon we’ll see either Kayce dead and Kayce’s son out of the picture soon (or vice versa), thus the end of the Dutton bloodline. Rip might take over Yellowstone completely, potentially seeing something happening with Walker too.
This show s just dumb now. It was good but is no longer. Taylor got a little too big for his britches, took in too many shows, and they all suffered for it.
We already know how dangerous it is being a cowboy in any time line but in this timeline and on this ranch, it’s extra dangerous. Waste of time killing Colby!
Selling all the livestock isn't going to help. They will get land taxes next financial, market equity will just buy the yellowstone then. And Kayce just made things more dangerous for his family, they will go after the wife and kid now.
maybe. but dutton heritage is better to die than live in fear. look at what messed up things john did to keep their family alive. kc actually did this to protect the family. he not that stupid to do this if this cause them in danger. kc seems to have john intuition. john only mistake to keep jamie alive and near to him when he messed up.
To me this new season has taken a totally different direction - I can tell the 6666 influence and how it's making them the good guys with an exaggerated emphasis on cowboys as an industry and how dangerous it is. From the death of JD til now, I find the story telling messy and lacking timeline. Jamie clearly is the main villain as opposed to the airport people and I suspect the writers will make it all about ranching winning in the end, because the 6666 guy has an obvious agenda. It's a real shame, it was such a fantastic show!
Kacey was the last character I had hope for but he proved that he’s nothing more than a mobster in a cowboy hat, just like Rip, just like his father. Holding a shooter in a little girls face while threatening to off her…nah. Hell, I don’t even think John or Rip would’ve done that.
All these speculative videos about what might happen in the last few episodes of Yellowstone, and NOBODY saw Colby's death coming. There has always been the question of what will the cowboys do once the issue of what happens to the ranch is settled, sell or save. Like Lloyd, they can consider life after Yellowstone and go somewhere else to work, or stay on the ranch if it is saved. I would have thought since Teeter was down at 6666, Colby would join her there and they'd be Texas cowboys on the next series. Maybe Denim Richards didn't want to continue working on these series? That's the only reason I can see to kill off his character. As much as I liked his character Colby and the relationship he and Teeter had, it was not a pivotal part of the series. For him to disappear and not be a character in "6666" would raise the question of "what happened, where is Colby? Well, question answered.
What will happen to Teeter? I really liked she and Colby together. Will she be picked up by 6666 or simply fade away? I'm waiting to find out about Rip, Lloyd, and all of the cowboys on Yellowstone. And where was Gator? I don't remember seeing him leaving the 6666 and returning to the Yellowstone. I love Gator. He's a cool character!❤
The fact that Kayce held a child at gun point and threatened to kill her makes him who had been my favourite character for the whole show really unlikeable and out of character
This is who he was for his 12 years in the SEALS or whichever one of the “teams” he served on for 12 years. The teams are filled with cold blooded killers who turn back into regular men in their off time. It’s the job and he does it like breathing. This side of him is the one he has been trying to put to rest since the series began.
@ yes I know, but he’s always been more of a survivor and remorseful. He’s not pure evil he killed the kid in Afghanistan but he didn’t have any choice and was very remorseful but he didn’t hesitate here and didn’t even reflect as like a “what did I just do?” Moment
In my opinion, it's not the fact that Colby died that has issues, it's how it happened. If you're going to do it, at least film it in a way that feels like it could happen. Not only could Carter have placed the water bucket just inside the door instead of walking the way to the back wall, but when Colby comes to help, Carter is completely out of the stall, turned around, and watching Colby. There was no need for him to still be in front of the horse. It was just so clumsy. This show is pissing me off because there's still a great story/plot that continues to captivate, but more than a few scenes and moments are so clearly done half assed. Which is ironically so against the morals of the show itself. I don't think they needed to kill Colby, but if they're going to do it, it should have been better than that. That was just lazy.
@marythrower7055 go back and watch. Watch when Carter exits the stall. Colby was still right there not trying to get out. It's not a huge deal, it just feels sloppy when little things like that are let through. The scene would have felt so much more authentic if Colby was kicked right as Carter was trying to get out behind him. Seriously, go back and watch
Beth’s theory on how Jamie will act with the police shows how little Beth knows or Taylor’s writing: he’s the AG high profile law firms would be lining up to defend him l, and let’s not forget he literally knows nothing about the murders, except accessory after the fact which is easy to beat
Jamie murdered the woman reporter, but he let her body drift down the river in her kayak. No trip to the train station for her. However, he did murder his natural father and dumped him at the train station, giving Beth the opportunity to photograph him in the act. Blackmail material there. There was a lot of questionable writing about Beth being there to photograph Jamie dumping his father's body at the train station. Did she follow Jamie's truck along dangerous mountain roads with her headlights off so Jamie wouldn't notice that he was being followed? Doubtful. So, did she already know about the TS and anticipate that Jamie would go there so she could be there waiting for him? In a later episode where she and Jamie were having a raw, physical confrontation, Jamie threatened to expose the Duttons' murderous history and use of the TS to dump bodies. Beth acted surprised. Jamie told her to ask her father about the TS. She did: "What is the train station?" Did she know or didn't she?
I'm missing something. How did Jaime know about the train station in the first place? Another question is what happened to Jaime's son and the sons mother?
@@BCSpecht89 you are 100% correct, when TS is firing on all cylinders his work is incredible, but he has a lot of holes in this storyline and if this season ends the way people keep speculating about it will come down to very lazy writing. Another thing is this season has a lot of plot conveniences. A guy who worked for the special activities division of the CIA wouldn’t be found that easily, especially if a person who does similar work for another company wouldn’t have his whole life in a file.
I think there was an underlying current in this episode. Men’s mental health. It was obvious that the men who dealt with loss in the episode were given a pat on the back and told to rub some tough on it.
If he allowed the cops upstairs he was done for
He did the only thing he could
@lukelucky1311 True, but there's evidence around that Jamie can't get his hands on. The detective says there's a bomb about to go off. Market Equities involvement with Sarah Atwood [remember, not her real name] gets exposed. ME Board of Directors run away from Montana project.
@@lannysix2569 that all depends on Jamie but what kayce does no one knows does he go after the women at the top of market equity
What a meaningless anticlimactic death for Colby, F Taylor Sheridan for that. He and Teets needed a happily ever after

Killing Colby off was horrible and pointless. I think down the road a Colby and Teeter wedding would have been awesome and lightened the mood a little
Why??? The show died waaaaaaaaaaaaay before he did.
Their are two episodes left. Just where do you see that nonsense fitting in?
You don't think that the actor playing Colby, couldn't see the end of Yellowstone, and wanted out?
Was thinking the same thing!
It's been willed to Tate! No tax. 7 th gen back to native land with a little Dutton on the side.
That might be what they’re setting up for the end when Beth was talking with Rainwater in episode 11.
Also Jimmy chosing to continue working was do amazing. He has grown so much over the series and he knew that John would want him to keep going.
I wish your grammatical skills would grow like Jimmie has.

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t understand why show writers panic at the end of every freaking show and make brash bad decisions. Game of thrones, Walking Dead, Lost. Now Yellowstone. I wish I was a movie writer
Shows ending.
Most deaths in life are. Actor probably wanted to go do something else, and just return behind the scenes for a reunion. Or the budget got cut, or something.
Did you hear it is the Season Finale and not the series finale
His death added nothing to the show and they’ll probably let his gf go too.
I know Taylor Sheridan actually bought the 6666 ranch, but this is Yellowstone, and he’s focused on his ranch more than the drama of Yellowstone that we’re tuning in for
YEAH
HE NEEDS ALOT OF ATTENTION😅😅
Agreed. An ad to sell beef, Vodka, and everything 6666.
The show has turned into a 6666 QVC show.
Where there’s rugs, there’s drugs.
Thank the Good Lord someone came along to explain this!!!
Interesting another series?
I was thinking the same thing.
Tates lineage and the proximity to the reservation.. along with the elder telling John at the end of 1883, that valley would be😢 "taken back" in 7 generations.. Tate IS that 7th. The Duttons will stay, operating the ranch business in a federally protected arrangement and partnership with the Nation of Standing Rock
or just make it a national park
Kayce at the end of the episode was scary good. Luke Grimes bodied that scene.
Sheridan just gonna kill everyone off or what? Colbys death was not needed
He showed what cowboys really go through in life he did a good job bringing it back to real life all while the rest of the other is going on.
Of course, were we not aware that the series finale was going to feature the yellowstone super volcano exploding and murdering everyone on the ranch?
I'm sure Colbys death was planned long before Johns. I'm certain Taylor has a plan for this choice... but it still hurts! I feel bad for Carter too, because now he carries the same guilt Beth has carried for her Mother.
His only plan is to sell more 6666 vodka and to show himself spinning on horses
@@Paul-vf2wlyup. He's a self centered ego jerk
RIP Colby
I hope we get another season!
Thought I saw something about spin off with Beth & her hubby, and Kasey? That is the only way to continue the story without daddy.
@@ceciliaSF-TX …..I think it all depends on the tv ratings. That’s pretty much how it works now.

Nooooooo not Colby 😭

There is one thing being overlooked. In past conversations, Beth had an interest in meat processing plants.
It's big money for a plant and a big cost eliminator as well.
She doesn't have enought time for that, right now, though....Right?
She called the 4 6’s ranch to find out about selling beef, even though that’s where she was driving to surprise Rip. Then to the cop who stopped her while she was speeding , she then acted like she didn’t know anything about that ranch🤷♀️
@@judywright4241 Dude, stop making sense :) This show might as well be written by A.I. I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
I, too, thought the selling of beef on the internet was going to save the ranch but Rip started selling all the cattle in Texas and I believe Lloyd said there was only 500 head left at the ranch. I now think the land goes back to the Indians.
They might raise buffalo on the land and sell the meat directly to people.
Yes we have been ready. Loved what you said, “bring it on “ perfect.
I was waiting for your review. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Chucking in a double feature episode - movie mode for the ending. They have a lot of loose ends, see if they can tie them.
Yep, lots of bathroom breaks built in
Yep the musical interludes or whatever you call them with the lengthy music playing while herding cattle is getting really old for me.

He did it because Colby’s agent negotiated a kill off of his character also the way Taylor did it brought it back to what ranching is all about and what these guys really do and go through in real life. He did a good job bringing it back to real life cowboy work.

It was a bad look IMO. Even some of the worst gansters back in the day would never bring women or children into it. Caseys so smart you'd think he could have found a better time where it wasn't with the daughter. But to threaten her was brutal. I think this will be the demise of many Duttons now.

I didn't think about it last night, but now I'm thinking, in some way johns death was like this huge weight lifted off of Beths shoulders, allowing her to finally be humbled and change course emotionally, even though that wild fire still burns towards Jamie.
I agree with you. She seems so much more in control of herself. Or, Sheridan forgot to keep her angry & explosive.

It really was a sht episode, not to mention the meaningless anticlimactic death of Colby, wow Sheridan was he mouthing off to you too?
@ just because you didn’t like it doesn’t mean everybody else has to bow to your opinion you fucking 🤡
Here’s a plot twist that would keep it going. Consider this ;
John Dutton has a cousin in Argentina.
Hard to say how this series will end. Only 2 more episodes left.
It's really difficult!
It doesn't end. Paramount curiously said that there is one episode left to the final "season ending" episode. They did not say "series". Thus, I think this continues and we will have to continue to watch the awful story writing of Taylor again just to see the conclusion of what started out to be a great show.
I fear that Sheridan is going to kill off pretty much everyone. If so, it will be a big middle finger to fans of the show.
What was Kayce packing at the ranch? It looked like explosives. Monica caught a glimpse of it I thought. And why was Mo helping Kayce at the end of the episode? And what about Tate saying he didn't want to bury Kayce at all? It seems cryptic. 😕
Thank you for explaining “counting cue”.
* coup
@ thanks for spelling correction. I had feeling “cue” was wrong but the computer did not give me an alternative.🤷♀️😁
@cynthiacarter514 all good! It really should be spelt "cue" because that's basically how it's pronounced!
Sheridan blowing the writing and plot management. He doesn't care.
They knew about John by the end of that first episode when they got on the horses and said let’s go to work and when they walked them in a circle
Js
The shows going to end with Kayce, Beth, and maybe even Rip agreeing to meet and talk with Jamie and it will end with Jamie’s death
Or Beth will pull Jamie out of the detectives path and they begin to end their feud.
As the show is ending; your idea may be the ending Jamie gets.

jamie death in the story is boring and predictable. another plot twist will keep people stick on this series. making more money and interest since kevin costner exit.
I think Colby's death was neccessry for Carter to grow up and really find his family
Hiding in plain sight ? Soccer dad disguise seems as ordinary as possible , like a person in witness protection working at McDonald's .
@@Bazookatone1- No, the guy was in the Houston area. KaCee (sp?) checked a phone number, and it was in the Houston area code (713).
@jaycareaga9929 people in that business know each other often times. Military were very tight in 70s. 80s and 90s.
Grant is a pro. He will respect Kayce and his frirnds
Let's hope so!
He's not in any of Sheridan's other shows
@@Paul-vf2wl well his agent negotiated a kill off so he obviously has something else in the works since this was their idea and not Taylor’s
@@Paul-vf2wl It's probably still in production. Maybe Bass Reeves. Ian Bohen( Ryan) Has said he will be in the next season of Lioness
Nooooooooo, not Colby!!!!!!!!
It's crazy how Casey's wife knew who he was when she married him but yes you expect him to turn his back on his family to live on a reservation.
His name is Kayce - watch the show.
It’s part of the show! She is the one that changes him from going down the road his family did and being bad to making him a family man and breaking the cycle. 🙄 I swear yall don’t pay attention.
@@marythrower7055, a "family man" pulled a gun on a little girl?
I like how Kasey kept using his military background and resources to intimidate.
I forgot the exact quote by Kasey , " ive done 12 years in the group do you know the amount of people i know that could get to you" something like that
Yeah that was a great moment!
Monica depressed?? Shocker that girl stay crying for no reason
FR
I joked about that every time this woman Beth called ‘resilient and brave’, ‘Here comes the whine, pass the cheese plate.’
Sheridan makes two kinds of women, needy and crazed
@@judywright4241 Yeah, Taylor Sheridan is not really good at writing female characters.
Based on the episode where Beth visited Rip at the 6666 ranch amd was impressed by the respect the ranch got and the fact the bar they visited had "no tourist" . I feel Rip and Beth will move down there and start a life there.
Ahhh another boring episode where Shierdan jumps the shark
I really feel like he just wrote bullshit down and decided to fuck the show over as a whole because of his beef with Costner
Shows are remembered by the last season and its clear season 5 is avsolute dogshit
@@DatBoiChris420 Yet, YOU keep watching! Look up 'hypocrisy ' in the dictionary.
Unfortunately, it looks like they will all collapse in the end, just like wit Game if Trones! Greeting from Germany
I don’t understand why shows can last more than 5 seasons before they kill it
Wouldn't it be national news that a Governor died. How hasn't everyone heard
Weak script writing. If dude didn't write for all his shows at one time, he'd have time to make one good.
Isn't there a Season 6? I think there might be. It's needed, as you can't wrap this show up in two more eps.
Did anybody notice it says there's only 2 episodes to go for the SEASON to end, not the Series? And the biggest battle has yet to be fought, and that is with the reservation. And Costner is surely missed.
Great channel
Great review BrainPilot. You the best !
Thanks a lot!

Bruh. Colby's death was sooo random. Wtf?!
Yeah I really didn't expect it!
Monica is always miserable
And it sounds like KC is going to die soon?
Colby was one of the most likable characters on the show. But it’s one of the few times on the show where the dangerous side of working as a ranch cowboy was shown to be dangerous. For most of the series the characters were more at risk for for soap Opra nonsense then the dangers from working as a ranch cowboy.
There’s more to Jimmy I think. I think John Dutton was his father.
I’ve thought that same thing.
That would be a big twist!
No he’s not 🤣 John was good friends with his grandfather and he ask John to help Jimmy so as a favor to him and because they were good friends that what he did.
@@marythrower7055 how do you know? You don’t know more than anyone else
Look closely when grant pulls away. He has the same license plate as the car in front of him.
what a crappy thing to do to Teeter.. and us!! loved colby..
Yeah I really didn't expect it!
So what is Mo"s story? Did he spend time with "The teams?" They never really got into his back story.
A Yellowstone video where the narrator says Raaanch is really strange 😂
Monica unhappy? No way!
I reckon we’ll see either Kayce dead and Kayce’s son out of the picture soon (or vice versa), thus the end of the Dutton bloodline. Rip might take over Yellowstone completely, potentially seeing something happening with Walker too.
or rip death because he tried to save beth when jamie went crazy. hahaha.. maybe.
This show s just dumb now. It was good but is no longer. Taylor got a little too big for his britches, took in too many shows, and they all suffered for it.
Landman is a complete disaster
🤣🤣🤣
We already know how dangerous it is being a cowboy in any time line but in this timeline and on this ranch, it’s extra dangerous. Waste of time killing Colby!
This episode was like a track 8 on a 80s EP
Selling all the livestock isn't going to help. They will get land taxes next financial, market equity will just buy the yellowstone then. And Kayce just made things more dangerous for his family, they will go after the wife and kid now.
maybe. but dutton heritage is better to die than live in fear. look at what messed up things john did to keep their family alive. kc actually did this to protect the family. he not that stupid to do this if this cause them in danger. kc seems to have john intuition. john only mistake to keep jamie alive and near to him when he messed up.
This feels rushed like GoT at the end.
Yes, another rushed ending....GoT all over again...🤦
Another “filler” episode … i have a strong feeling the finale is gonna suck
When Beth is doing the counseling, just know sh*t is in shambles! 😅
No he wasn’t he was still in there with the horse charging him 🤦♀️
@marythrower7055 go back and watch.
He knows all the ranches dirty secrets. He even murdered a woman and had her buried there as well so he wouldn't narc on himself
@@nancydemoss2945 He just knows and much like what happened to his son and the mother T.S forgot to write it in
@@BCSpecht89 you are 100% correct, when TS is firing on all cylinders his work is incredible, but he has a lot of holes in this storyline and if this season ends the way people keep speculating about it will come down to very lazy writing. Another thing is this season has a lot of plot conveniences. A guy who worked for the special activities division of the CIA wouldn’t be found that easily, especially if a person who does similar work for another company wouldn’t have his whole life in a file.
Where can I watch this? I've tried

I think there was an underlying current in this episode. Men’s mental health. It was obvious that the men who dealt with loss in the episode were given a pat on the back and told to rub some tough on it.
