Only a small Amaran P60X. I am going to try a Godox LDX100Bi to get some more punch. I try and keep everything to a minimum due to room in the vehicle.
Yeah that totally makes sense for sure. I haven’t tried that Godox panel but looks like it could throw a nice soft light. Another option if you wanted a bit more punch for a similar price is the Aputure 60d (or x). The bag is about the size of a size 12 shoe box. Tucker for thought 🤙
Nice kit. I use Matthews stands when I can afford them. I wonder if they aren't as popular outside the States. I do have a Kupo 3-Way Baby Adapter. I love it for reducing the amount of stands I have to bring and mounting multiple modifiers to one stand.
Yeah Matthew’s definitely comes with a price premium here. That 3-way baby adapter is a great option as well. I’ve only ever put two lights on it, what do you put on yours? I think we are lucky these days now’s there are so many brands available.
Yes I’ve even see people screw the mic on the end of a c stand arm. What ever works really 😄 I like using a c stand to hold the mic boom pole. The c stand is nice and safe plus the boom pole is nice and light. Less risk of falling on talent
Hi, what camera do you have? It will depend on whether or not the camera has 3.5mm or xlr ports. Plus some cameras don’t have phantom power so then you need a mic that supplies its own power vis battery. If you are wanting to use it on camera as well as boomed sometimes then a shorter mic is useful due to the size. Depending what camera you have I can list some options that I think are good.
Something like the Rode video mic pro, or the deity versions are a great starting place for 3.5mm self powered mics. To use them away from the camera will would either need to buy a long 3.5mm extension cord or try use a wireless transmitter like the rode wireless pro and plug that into the mic.
I have one of the Manfrotto clip together stands you have. I rate it a lot. 😊. It's good to know the Neewer grips are okay.
Nice! What lights to you use on it?
