I was extremely close to accepting a job offer in Wyoming before I got offered a job to work at Robins AFB. I think one of the key things you have to highlight when comparing the two is the weather difference, which is pretty extreme. Not only is Wyoming way colder and drier, but a good portion of the state gets pretty consistent strong winds. I watched a video once where this couple was visiting Casper in the middle of June or something and it was in the 40s and windy. Two states on nearly the complete opposite end of the spectrum compared to each other in terms of weather. I will say that when I was looking into Wyoming when I was planning on taking the job there, it seems like a really underrated state to live in. As you mentioned, it's very cheap to live there especially when you factor in taxes (Wyoming has low property and sales tax as well). Many areas of Wyoming are low crime, and as you mentioned, it's hard to beat the natural beauty in that general area of the country. I was also surprised looking up restaurants there at how good the food looked. My wife and I came away with a bit of a bittersweet feeling when we decided not to take the Wyoming job and we're definitely looking to visit in the future; not just the obvious places like Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons, but also the bigger Wyoming cities in the Eastern half of the state like Casper and Cheyenne. I think they seem like great places to live if you're into a smaller city/town vibe, like the outdoors, and can handle the extreme cold and wind. Also, to speak on the pecan pronunciation: it's pretty much a crapshoot. I say it one way, and I have people within my own family that say it another. Southerners will unite on most pronunciations, but pecan ain't one of them.
@@LivingInWarnerRobins To be fair, you did mention it briefly, I just think it really needs to be emphasized for anyone considering living in both places. And no problem, man. I found your channel when I was looking into the area after getting that offer there. Your videos have been helpful in getting a feel for the area prior to moving.
@TheRaganicRhetoric that’s awesome I really do appreciate the support. I actually started that whole thing because I was in the same situation as you I didn’t know what the area is even about when we moved here from Missouri in 2019 and that’s when I came up what why not do this channel and inform other people that are moving to the area

You are right I should have included the weather that’s my bad.
Thank you for your detailed comments and I really do appreciate you watching.
