Thanks this was really useful! I also got the idea from BrickTsar to put zeros in front of the numbers, so I have started my drawer numbering with 1000 and up so it is future proof.
Yeah the 00 before works well, I did that, then when i recently changed to barcodes I forgot to put the 00 in front. DUH me! now I have to replace all the stickers with new updated ones. work it is, but well worth it. lol
It's a good idea to do the number system for single parts but for me all those parts would be in 1 drawer taking up less space. Just gotta separate by color and piece size to make it easier to pick out the part. Keep up with the videos ! I love seeing how everyone runs their store, I pick out and use all your guys good ideas 😁
Hmmmm... now I'm thinking I may need to do another video on what is actually in the drawers! In most of the Stack-On drawers I have different colors of the same part in a drawer. I use the the Papimax slots when one color takes over the drawer and needs a new home. I love Bricklink store tours and Lego room tours - my favorite thing to search on TH-cam.
@@montanausedbricks after picking bricks, a drawer that is less than half filled will be put on the side like Brick in the bucket does. Then when I am done picking, I combine the drawers on the side to make empty ones. Used and new could be in same drawer with a divider. Single piece couldl be combined in a full drawer different color to pick out faster😁. I have 35 akro mills filled and 18, 3 drawer steralite storage containers filled for 175,000 parts. 2nd highest in Hawaii😁
Think I found the answer here to my storage question on your latest video - stack on, nice. I think I'm going to go with some drawer furniture and put plastic bins and dividers inside eventually. Wow I want to come shop in person lol. I don't think my wallet would approve. EDIT: Oh, I like the Papi Max- DISCONTINUED UGH
Thanks for the store tour, how big is the room your store is in? Trying to get an idea for how I can better utilize my space. Great job using the space you have!
Great video! When you select to retain zero quantity items, do they still show up in your store? Or are they just saved in the background until you add a quantity back in? Also over 10,000 lots is pretty impressive! Especially with a focus on used parts. That’s some hours. Looking forward to seeing more videos on your different processes and what works/doesn’t work for you.
Good afternoon! The zero quantity lots don't appear in my store. When the quantity goes to zero, the part goes to "stockroom A." I retain zero quantities because a majority of the time when I restock the part, it will go back in the same drawer/box. And yes... many, many (MANY) hours spent sorting and adding to inventory. It's all a labor of love for me. :-)
Great video! What do you do with the remarks if you don't use drawers, but plastic bags and such? Also what do you do if you decide to move state with the BL name (I'm just joking haha)
When I'm using plastic bags for parts, I just use the drawer/storage number and then sort through the bags to find what I'm looking for. Generally the same type of part of 1 type of part is in a drawer (for example, all the 2 x 4 plates are in the same storage drawer or all 4.x 6 plates are in the same storage drawer). Haha! Hadn't thought about what to do with the store/channel name if I move... guess I can't move! :-) Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment.
I don't think the Papimax Storage systems are available anymore. Last time I looked, I couldn't even find their website. I did read on Reddit, you could order the same organizers direct from China for a reasonable price, but the shipping is quite a bit more.
I wish I could have that storage and the shirt
Great info and yes, you made it Crystal clear, thank you!

Best advice I found on TH-cam videos! :-)
That's some storage 😮
Yeah, lots of storage and never seems to be enough! LOL
I really enjoyed watching your video, not only informative but really calming,Thank you!
Thank you!

That was one of the best tips I got when using the remarks!

11:49 I wonder if it was one of my videos? I have 4 trays that I number in that way. Nice store tour.
Possibly! I watch a lot of videos on Bricklink store tours and Lego organization. :-) (And if it was you... thank you! LOL)
Great video! I do like a store tour! 👍
I got a lot of tips and tricks whenever I watched the Bricklink store tours... and I watched a lot of them. Thanks for taking time to watch my video!

haha! Should have read through all my comments before I responded to your previous comment. LOL
Great job, thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!

The shop is 20 ft x 20 ft. So a fairly good sized space, but doesn't leave much room to grow. :-)

I want that shirt
I got it through an online store called TeePublic. They have a lot of Lego inspired t-shirts.
Thanks for taking the time to watch my video!

Hi Montana I am interested in the storage containers made by Pack a Mate. What is their website??
