Playing For Change (PFC) is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music, born from the shared belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. The primary focus of PFC is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called Songs Around The World. Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band-a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation-a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world. Through these efforts, Playing For Change aims to create hope and inspiration for the future of our planet.

Many years ago (70's and 80's) the African music was very popular on the Caribbean coast of Colombia (especially Cartagena de Indias and Barranquilla). Now, it is catching up, because at the final of 2016 and now the beginning of 2017, this great African song has been taking control on the prefrences of the Colombian Caribbean and nowadays it is almost sure it is gonna be the number 1 at **the Great Carnival of Barranquilla 2017**, it is a HIT... dear all this song is from Angola and its a song that we used to sing when we were children... it is in kimbundo one of our national laguange. i may find the translation. young generations dont know how to speak national languages im fluent in english and i just know few words in my mothers mother language... shame!

es una canción que ha tomado mucha fuerza en Barranquilla durante la temporada de pre-Carnaval, tanto así que las emisoras la han perfilado como uno de los temas que suena para himno de las fiestas del dios momo.
Esta canción es de la autoría de Hugo Soares,
un angoleño que, sin saberlo, desarrolló un tema musical que ha gustado mucho, a millones de kilómetros de donde reside. No esperó que su proyecto tuviese una acogida tan notoria en otros países, pero afirma que “el éxito es el complemento perfecto de tu realización como Artista”.
En diálogo con EL HERALDO, Soares habló de su vida, proyectos, motivación y expectativas con esta canción, luego de que lo reconocieran en otro continente por una canción que cedió a ’Playing for Change’, y la cual está hecha ‘around the world’.

I want to thank Playing for change for playing this song original from ANGOLA. its a play song we used to it outside. There's a dance that comes with it.
