That was so badasss!! To think of mixing two different cultures and two different styles of music into one!! For a ten year old that’s Genius!! ❤️🤘🎸
This is why I love Rock. Cultures united under one theme.
Everyone should start following her. She's really got it. Congrats Maya.
What a reinterpretation! Absolutely fantastic! It practically belongs to her. Look at her hands and fingers towards the end. That guitar brought out the best in her!
WOW!!!! Holey Sh-t!!!! HOLEY SH-T!!!! That girl is fantastic!!!! I played it 3 times ... amazing! She is going to be rich and famous forever and make a lot of people very happy. And to the Mom and Dad that allowed her to play .... good job ... you win the game of parenthood.
Listening it 10th time to yet to understand the beginning.
she would be wasting her time in front of books if she was in india.thank god they went to america😂
“allowed”? Encouraged.. her dad is a rock guitarist himself
Gary Holt! Heck yeah!🤘
There is hope in our youth! Makes this old man happy! Keep it up young lady!

Awesome @mayaNeelakantan.
She is the new generation
I believe she has the capacity to bring out the best in kids to be themselves and to not be afraid to be yourself. Love this girl, well done to mum & dad ❤️💪🏽
I only have one word for her performance- WOW!!!!!
After this music i started loving guitar ❤
The music is a great fusion of Carnatic and Western rock.
This girl has a great future.
*SHE TOTALLY SHREDDED THAT GUITAR!!* 🤘
Best guitar solo I’ve heard in a very long time!! Rock & Roll FOREVER!!! 🤟🏼❤️
The fusion of Indian classical and Western hard rock.....is extremely interesting . Always loved the genre.
🤘🏼
I love how she's just standing still playing the Indian tune but as soon as the drumbeat kicks in she adopts the standard rocking back and forth and the head bob. Awesome
Metal and Carnatic combination cannot get better than this.
She's simply foxtrotting awesome.
respect from Kazakhstan❤
I just cant stop watching it and tears coming to my eyes every time ! Outstanding ! and Ten years old ! wow Unbelievable
perfect fusion music - the metal and the Indian notes.. pure magic! proud Indian here! you go Maya!
As her name reflects she is Maya.
This is called “Setting the stage on Fire”🔥🔥🔥
I just love how much fun she's having! Look at the huge smile she has while she's playing! It's always fun seeing people doing what they love to do! Way to go!!!!
Maya is like that all the time. Very exceptional young girl.
She could pick any band in the world right now and go on tour with them.
She is a big winner. A great career awaits her. Blessings ❤😊
Being an Indian, a metalhead and a big Papa Roach fan this brings a smile on my face everytime I watch it.
Loved the sitar style opening, and the knowing grin about what she had planned. Totally awesome. Would love to see her jam with Ellen Alaverdyan on bass.
Even her opening chords sounding like the sitar are very clever.....and like they can't even see that....I love the sitar and could listen to it for hours, but right now I am listening to this piece over and over. It's mesmerizing, magical and powerful. This is a rock goddess superstar in the making and I can't wait to see her in her own band one day, selling out stadiums........don't let those ruthless record companies change you Maya.....you do it your way, not theirs. We love you as you are - your style, your talent and your courage at such a young age.
sitar is divine very ancient
@@arunchandramathi9572 I listen to old recordings of Ravi Shankar.. Now his daughter. I love Indian music and all Eastern music.......
If "Keep rocking" has a face, it's you Maya. Keep smiling 👸👸
She deserved the Golden Buzzer,Like i would have pressed it 100%
OMG you are too good dear .
I am from Bangalore and have been in USA for over 25 years and am a guitarist from my college days. I can see your knowledge and creativity .
You will go a long way dear
Hemanth Kumar - USA- Michigan.
Very few are born with it. She is one of those very few. Absolutely blown away. It’s nice to see that there is still hope for heavy metal music and true musicians. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
An old soul 💕
Stevie Ray Vaughn and Randy Rhodes would be so so very happy right now to hear this young lady and she will he on their level when she gets older
More than 50 times watched her performance it’s incredible & awesome she rocks the floor completely 🔥🔥🔥😊👌👌!!!
Great how she also made the guitar sound like the Veena the south Indian Carnatiic stringed instrument (not sitar btw) and blended it into rock! Kudos also to her teacher Prasanna well known Carnatic jazz musician
That initial Carnatic music intro was just ❤️. And I did hear some Carnatic slip in between as well. Ps: Carnatic music is South Indian classical music.
