Most dermatologist will say that eye creams are just marketing hypes. You don't need a separate eye cream to moisturize around your eyes. You can just use your face moisturizer.
Eye creams are a scam and equals more money for the cosmetic industry.
When in doubt go to Cerave. I have never had a product fail!

My daughter's dermatologist has recommended all CeraVe products for her to use on her face and body. She is a teenager and so far it has cleared her skin and kept her from having major breakouts. Love the CeraVe products and highly recommend them!
Traci Frazier I recommend it for my patients as well and have good results. I too have sensitive skin and it really is good for all skin types. Hydration is really good in this product and even with acne, drying out the skin is not the answer as that makes the skin overproduce oils. Same for the scalp when shampooing daily. It strips the skin and then overproduces oil at the scalp.
I agree Jennifer Ann Fox I used to use products to dry up my oily complexion but over the years I realized just what you mentioned. Once I started using a gel based moisturizer and now have no more issues.

Glad you were as confused as I was! Some videos say use serum only, and one said that the serum is for your deeper skin while a moisturizer is for the shallow outside of you skin which also makes sense! But that stuff looks like no moisturizer is needed!
I love all the Cerave creams. I don't use them all but the one in the big tub, in the winter I use as a night cream. I'm 52. In the summer I can still use as a night cream. I think that line works so well because it has alot of hyaulonic acid in it which holds natural water at the surface, without all the oils. Its a great product even for oily skin.
I have been using this! And I have dry skin, so dry skin people I do recommend using a cream after !

I feel like everytime I am looking for a specific type of product, you do a review on one. Plus it always ends up being awesome! I have combo skin and I like to cater to the dry skin at night and the oily skin in the day time. Definitely will be picking this up as a night moisturizer.
I have very sensitive skin due to my pregnancy and I have been using this and absolutely loving it!! No problems on pregnant skin!
Yes! I use the Cerave Renewing SA Cleanser and after the first use my pores disappeared. It's my new favorite cleanser. I'll definitely be trying out the moisturizers next.

I've started using retin a and cerave has been my life saver! I've been using the gentle cleanser, the daily moisturizer with spf 50 and the pm moisturizer. In regards to using that serum in the morning I would definitely use spf in conjunction. Retinol makes your skin photosensitive and you can end up with a pretty nasty sunburn. Thanks for the great review!

Thanks for reviewing this. I bought this and the night cream at Ulta last week. I've been using the am/pm for a long time. Was excited to use this. So now I'm using this serum and the night cream at night as I have aging dry skin and live in a dry climate. I'm pretty impressed with Cerave.
I am a CeraVe all the way skin care routine except for a once a week addition of a sugar scrub to exfoliate from head to toe. I have been using the serum or the little pot of moisturizer depending on if I have dry spots ever since it became available. I also use the eye cream and cleanser. I have noticed very positive changes regarding fine lines and flakiness. I am 51 years old and am delighted when people ask what I do for skincare after hearing my grandkids calling me Nana. :)
Have to try this!! I use the eye cream and really like it so far and I use the moisturizer in the tub for my neck and elbows every night.... Really really helps with lines on ur neck (I would def recommend trying it that way)!

I love CeraVe products because I do have very sensitive skin but I've never tried the Renewing Cream Serum so thanks for the review! CeraVe does have a AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion that has an SPF of 30. It was recommended to me by my dermatologist and I love it.
Did it suit your sensitive skin ?
Really happy to see this. I use mostly high end skincare and cosmetics. However cerave is one of my few exceptions tho I'd not known this existed. I am going to buy now through this link. Great review and I concur with everything you said Emily! I've been using this for a couple months now & I think for my 53 yr old face it's making a difference in my fine lines and especially my pores. I love how it takes a small amount to leave your skin feeling 'pampered'. I use several of the CeraVe products for my face. Love the brand!
Yes! I use the one in the tub on my face and I was worried because it's like a body cream - but my face improved so much - especially the pores on my nose. I've got 2 under 2 (babies) and I can use the help. Thanks for the review.
I love this product, particularly for the retinol, and airtight packaging, which keeps all the actives stable. They claim 1%, but I think they're speaking of the combination of the complex of retinol/ceramides, as I've used legitimate 1% retinol, and true 1% seems far stronger than this. But, that's why I like this, its far more gentle, yet still effective, and you can't beat the price point, considering the quality. Quality/price ratio is CereVe's selling point. I hope they never discontinue this.
Love the Cerave Serum!!!! I first tried it in the form of samples they were giving out at CVS drugstore and I really didn't know anything about serums. So I started reading about the different serums out there, about skincare in general and about the Cerave brand and when I thought I had more understanding about how it could affect my skin ( I was passing through a rough acne phase), I changed my whole skincare routine and included the serum. I used it after the toner and my acne creams and since my acne cleansers tend to dry my face, I finished with a night cream....This worked wonders on my skin!!!! My acne cleared up almost completely (have a few acne scars) and I really started to notice the difference. When I woke up, my face looked more refreshed and glowy; my skin more smooth and soft. It's definitely worth it. Totally recommend!!!
Cerave dos have a face moisturizer with spf , it's their "AM" face moisturizer with spf 35, I think. I use it and love it! XOXO

CeraVe Foaming cleanser is my holy grail face wash! Still chuggin' through the moisturizer in the tub too, it lasts forever hahaha.
I like this product--I seriously think it has helped my problematic skin within just 2-3 days starting about Thursday or Friday of last week!
I am just getting over a really bad break out. I have eczema, along with extremely dry, sensitive acne prone skin. Lucky me! Haha. I was on meds for 2 months, pills, creams, lotions and potions. My skin is back to normal and my doc gave me a skin care routine that only included cerave products. I've been indecisive about the eye cream and this serum and now I can't wait to try them both. Cerave does have an AM moisturizer I use with spf. You may want to try that. I have noticed my skin isn't as dry but it is the summer, so I can't compare. Love this review!
Also retinols break down when exposed to oxigen so an air tight,closed container is ideal,also the sun light breaks down retinols,so use sun screen and closed,air tight containers.
I've had amazing results from otc retinol serums, used in conjunction with acids. I just ran out of my previous serum, so am going to pick up this CeraVe today. Thanks for the review.

I also love the cerave skin care products. Honestly, I've had better results with this line over some more expensive fancy products. they are just consistently effective to me...except the day lotion with spf. for whatever reason, that broke me out and the girl at CVS said they had a lot of returns on that product.
I love CeraVe! I tried a lot of the range and had great results. I love the hydrating cleanser and their hydrating body cream, great for my eczema and great value for money!

When I travel, I like the convenience of the CereVe day & night moisturizers which I keep packed in my travel bag. The day moisturizer does have spf.

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion has a sunscreen spf 30. The reason CeraVe products feel so soft, yet hydrate the skin is that they contain hyaluronic acid. They really are an awesome drug store find and often can be purchased bogo 1/2 off.
I really wanted to like this product, but the texture just didn't work for me. It balled up as I rubbed it in, so it left little pills all over my face; I definitely couldn't use it under makeup! However, I use the CervaVe cleansers morning and night and the PM moisturizer. I'm trying a serum from Ulta right now that is moisturizing but doesn't have the texture issue...so far, so good! I'm glad this product works for you!
I love the serum but my normal/dry skin is sensitive to the renew moisturizer. Try the face wash first if you have sensitive skin...

i bought the Cerave serum the other day after watching your video. So far I am loving it!!! there us a $2.00 off any cerave product on their website. I found the serum at my local Wal-Mart for only $15. I'm buying the eye cream next!

I have got to try this!!! I need some help with my texture & I'm already a huge fan of CeraVe. The Hydrating Cleanser is my HG face wash & I use the SA lotion for my KP. And the AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 is great! Keeps my sensitive, dry skin nice & hydrated without irritating! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

So glad you reviewed this! I currently use the regenerist serum and I sometimes wonder if it's really doing anything, and I get curious about other serums. BTW I use the CeraVe eye cream and it is amazing for dark circles!

I love cerve! I haven't tried this yet but I may just go out and get that next week. I don't think I'll ever buy high end skincare products as long as I still have these. I no longer have dry skin since starting the cerve products

I use a CeraVe daily moisturizer that contains an SPF of 30. It too, is a great moisturizer though the scent is of traditional sunscreen, which I get quickly tired of.
Hi. They have AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30. I have been using these products for two months and they are amazing. My face is glowing and my pores shrunk.
I have to look for this one! I have the AM and PM facial moisturizers and I like them very much. I like products with retinol so I definitely want to give it a try since you are pleased with the results.

CeraVe has a cleanser for Normal to Dry skin which you may prefer. I keep both on hand for my combination skin. The Foaming Cleanser is great for makeup removal.

SimplyMe1970 I use the foaming cleanser as a second cleanse, after I remove makeup with coconut oil. It doesn't sting my sensitive eyes and would be ok alone for light makeup removal.

I'm only 21 but after having my baby girl (who was just a couple months behind little Belle :D ), the lack of sleep has certainly created some major fine lines under my eyes. I was just about to buy the Olay Regenerist eye cream until I saw this review. I use the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for my moisturizer and it's worked wonderfully for my dry skin; now the CeraVe eye cream is next on my list! Thanks so much!!
Great Review & what I love is CeraVe can be purchased at the Drugstore. CeraVe does have an SPF 30 moisturizer Emily, so you may want to give that a try. CeraVe has some great products with great skincare benefits & I am going to look into this serum as well as the eye cream, both sound great. I have been using some more expensive brands, so anything I can do to save money & is a good brand that works, I am going for! Your skin looks lovely & I trust you, so I am Sold! Thank you for this because im currently using the neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair serum (has the same pump/tube applicator) and the lotion (has retinol & spf 30) and i need something for nighttime with no spf in it. I like what i heard with this review.

I love Cera Ve I use the eye cream and the daytime moisturizer which has SPF 30 I was on the fence on the serum but now I'll for sure have to get it!!
How is the daytime moisturizer? I have combo oily skin and nervous it's going to be too heavy
I have combo to dry but it is not real heavy or thick and it soaks in right away! I would think even on oily skin it would work nicely!!

Tina Marie use manufacture coupons and save 2-4 more bucks per item. I just used a 2 dollar coupon and bought the new foaming face wash. Amazing. Only use half a pump or less.
