You're objective facts suck, the docks mission is S tier, and escorting Sig is frustrating as hell, C tier at best. Great video!
I disagree with you that your list is 100% objective since you used words like "I think" and "It annoys me" or similar sentences which are by definition subjective opinions.
Those terms are objectively subjective.
I love the intro so much :) and I like how you were super objective despite the missions being the absolute worst in the no death runs

This list seems to be more of a bias than anything else. While I agree on some portions of this list, I cant agree with all of it.
I would also like to point out one level specifically, the slums mission of retrieving a piece of the seal. Lots of endless enemies to make a mission hard, isn't the correct way to make a hard mission. It's hard for the wrong reasons, especially if the best way to play the level is to skip the level entirely.
You know that the slum escape mission is an F. If you know you can punch through or use your hoverboard it's easy. But if you are 8 years old and you try to shoot your way out its not. This mission bricked my Jak 2 experience as a kid. I continued when Jak 3 came out. Eventually i had the 12 year old neighbor do it for me. IRL HUMILIATED
Tank mission is s tier ..i get that it can be pretty hard doing deathless or any runs but i thought this list suppose to be objective..same with Errol race..i don't get it, its not even that hard ..just take it slow and make sure you don't miss the rings, and Errol will screw up by the end of the race.. especially in that final turn you have plenty of windows to pass him.. other than that i really enjoyed the video.. keep it up
I agree. Complaints about difficulty in the infamous KG ambush mission is something he brushed off, yet when he has a problem with it suddenly difficulty is important.
Kinda a shame that the errol race was F tier. I've recently got all the presursor orbs on both normal and hero mode and it's quite exhilarating beating the gold time for the city race. Granted, it does take me several attempts and it also seems like an absolute run killer for the deathless challenge. That damn ramp out of the first water section led to so many restarts
its just annoying as hell that you can just get kicked out by the civilians so you miss the circles.
Agree that Level 2 is the worst stadium race (L1 has the worst shortcut implementation though), but Errol's city hub race isn't as bad as you described. There is a fairly sizeable window for error and still catching up to beat Erol after messing up. There's also like no rubber-banding, so if you outpace Erol, he'll never catch, and that's one of the pillars that supports my first point. Thirdly, and it's weird this wasn't mentioned, but Erol frequently gets stuck at a specific spot; it's as if the developers programmed that intentionally for anyone who had huge trouble with the races. Erol's "cheating" is subpar, not really worth the acknowledgement, because his vehicle still takes damage, he slows down on turns instead of maintaining speed, crashes, etc, so it's never a huge problem. Besides your own driving skills, I'd say the civilians getting in the way are the only unfair aspect to the race mission.
I HATE all the missions in the drill platform. Boring level design, horrible colors everywhere and also the objectives of the mission are just...meh. I wish I could just erase the whole level from the game.
Glad to see this video made. Something I thought about in the back of my head regarding the game. Only disagreements: 1. Can't agree escort sig at pumping station goes all the way to S, can't say it's that much better than other missions. 2. The 5 scouts in haven forest can't go above A for me because 1 of the 5 has to be times so the gem isn't lost for good falling in the water. 3. This is my 2nd favorite game (TPL is #1), but my original least favorite part was the hoverbike. Especially with the required braking & other drivers taking boosts, can't do S or A tier for those. 4. Liked the blowing up drill platform tower much more, wasn't any problems I saw with it. But the mech in the underport was not as good as other levels especially with the near impossibility of getting the gems from the squid metal heads.
My biggest disagreement was that I enjoyed the hoverboard water bomb run-over mission a lot. Idk just riding around the big ass lake doin trick over bombs for 2 minutes, S+ tier
definitely a respectable opinion & if you have fun with it that’s all that matters. personally i just like missions with an emphasis on thematic or narrative elements over just raw gameplay

How old were you when you first played the game and do you think nostalgia or childhood memories affected the way you rated anything? Just curious because I myself realized I’m still stuck on hating/loving missions based on how I as a kid experienced them haha which is unfortunate and not at all objective. I loved all the girl characters and wanted to be like them, and I would replay their missions many times.
first mission on the sewers was a nightmare for me when I first played it as 9 or something y/o, I now dont know exactly what made it so hard for me.. nice tier list

The turret mission on the drilll platform destroys my will to ever replay this game, because I know I'll get through the previous missions without much issue just to get stuck in that shit until I juat drop the game for another 5 or so years
you know, "destroy ship at drill platform" was so hard for me not even that long ago, like maybe 6 years ago when I played through the game on hero mode a couple years after the ps3 collection was released, so hard and frustrating that I punched a hole in the drywall (not proud of that) played it again recently on hero mode again since jak 2 is on openGOAL and I did it first try no problem, idk if its somehow easier now on openGOAL but I was very surprised, there was even a glitch where you use giant dark jak dark bomb to clear the first waves of enemies to make it easier that doesn't seem to work on openGOAL and it was still waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier than I remember. I guess you just gotta git gud

This game used to be such a hair puller during my first playthru.
Best mission is the one where the metal heads got inside the city and it's total war, imo.
Here's my tier list:
S: Water Slums Seal Piece
F: Everything else. I just play that one mission on repeat.
That scientifically proven drove me nuts, in a good way
Mountain Temple items, Ride elevator up to palace/Defeat Baron at palace and Mar's Tomb are my most favorite missions.
The mission where you have to defuse the bombs it is the worst mission of jak2... This mission was the reason i have never beat the jak 2 story as a kid
