Good Bye Sarge, Rest in Peace After a long hard battle with seizures and panic attacks, Sarge's quality of life has diminished. It is time to say goodbye to an old friend.
I just wanted to let you guys know how much we appreciate your support and efforts throughout this journey. My parents have had nothing but love and respect for y’all from day one. We are incredibly sad that Sarge has passed on. My daughter and I, and her two children got to be introduced to Willow yesterday!!!! She is a very sweet and curious little lady. She was very good with my almost 7 year old grandson… he was very good about calm and quiet in meeting her and she just loved it when he’d walk back to her and give her loving. I know Mom will keep y’all updated, but I just wanted to say hi and thank you, too. ❤ scratches from us to the pack!!
So nice to meet you this way. Willow is a very special German Shepherd, and I’m glad your children found her special as we do. Your parents are very strong people and took very good care of Sarge. I know Willow is in good hands.
My throat hurts from choking back tears. I don't know anything about Sarge , especially his age or life before this video, but I love dogs so much and know how awful their lives are with seizures. He's with his Creator now and will never know any further pain or panic attacks. Only love and peace.😢❤
It's so sad about Sarge. I remember the first time you got him from the shelter. You both did a fantastic job for Sarge to recover from his illness. Sarge is in a better place and running with all the other dogs in Heaven. I'm glad that you gave Willow to them to be by their side. Willow is such a good girl. I feel your pain because I also had a German Shepherd with the same condition. I was lucky, medication worked for her. She got D.M and was unable to use her back legs, two months later she could not get up off the floor, and on July 4th 2020, after 14 years with my beautiful SHEEBA I had to put her down❤ r.i p
We had to put our beloved GS dog Wyatt down this past Friday (5/24/24). He also had DM. He was taking Rimadyl for about a year and was doing okay, but the last month he was starting to slip and fall. It painful to let go, but I know we made the right decision for him. I stayed with him as our vet released him from his Earth home. We will miss him, but we have wonderful memories of his life with us. I am sorry for your loss, and I know you have beautiful memories too. Take care.

The vet would not let us come in .so we did the deed under a tree with a parking lot full of people waiting for the vet to see their pets . Having my dog almost 13 years , I cried like a baby bur I did video her just before for about 10 minutes. I'm very sorry for you loss and I hope you get another one for they are amazing dogs. I did, he is awesome, had the breeder DNA his mom and dad to make sure no DM gene in the bloodline. God bless all the dogs and cats

It takes time. I am glad you had your new GS DNA Checked. I didn't know about this disorder. I knew about hip dysplasia, but the breeder had his dogs certified for this. Thank you for the information. Yes, they are amazing dogs!
Love your videos, and I'm speaking from someone who has gone through severe seizures with my pups. Both times, there was something else going on behind the seizures. Unless this couple could afford a specialist and have their dog given an MRI, which is not mentioned in the film, only that they were given medications, we don't know the cause of the seizures, which could mean idiopathic epilepsy. But, given that he's having panic attacks, resulting in further seizures, indicates at least to me, a neurological problem from possibly a tumor to Inflammatory Brain Disease (IBD). Both my dogs had these issues. I'm glad he is now at peace, and I can feel the heartbreak from everyone over losing such a beautiful boy.
I wish I was in a better position to foster and adopt senior and special needs dogs. Your wife and you are beautiful souls. Sarge knew love and safety his Iast couple years of life, probably the most secure he felt in his life. Thank you.
I lost my lemon-beagle, Buster, of 10 loving years on May 16th, 2024---2 days after Sarge's passing. My partner and I cried, but at least we were with our Buster during his final hour; he passed quietly in his home. Rest in Peace, Sarge and Buster---they are both now playing over the Rainbow Bridge. I pulled up a quote sometime towards the end of last week: "Somewhere between Hello and Goodbye there was love, so much love." We love our doggos.
I know they know it’s time. And they let you know it’s time. Even though it’s so sad. No dog needs to go thru those episodes. I give big hugs and thanks to all the folks who give their time and love to all the dogs they take care of.

I am so sorry for your loss Barbara Mason I just lost our two dogs call me a morning 24 2 hours apart. I had a 10-year old German Shepherd named Barron and he had a 15-year-old chihuahua named Chelsea Chelsea Dino seizures and a stroke and 2 hours later my German Shepherd Barron died from cancer and internal bleeding. On top of it all we just got notice that we have to find a new place to live as the house that we've been living in for 8 years is coming up for sale I am heartbroken beyond belief beyond belief and very depressed.
