    I bought one of these off Amazon over a year ago and it just made it through a second summer. I'm absolutely amazed at how wildly effective these things are. If anything they get too cold. Probably need to buy a replacement pad but I don't want to jinx it because it has never leaked once. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

    Is there a reason the unit needs to be set up at the same height or higher as as the bed? How necessary is it?

    • @jakebrown1066
      @jakebrown1066 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      if the unit is below the bed then the pump needs to work a lot harder to get the water up to the bed from the floor

    • @richardanderson4897
      @richardanderson4897  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      When you turn off the unit the water will backflow from the pad back to the cooler. The pad can hold almost a Gallon of water so the cooler will overflow and leak water everywhere. Additionally as the other commenter said the pump will need to work very hard to pump the water from the ground.

    Will it make cooler the whole mattress or the particular area only?

    will the mattress increase the humidity like swamp cooler

    • @richardanderson4897
      @richardanderson4897  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No...this model uses a compressor to chill the water. It will add a little heat to the room but far less than running 2 big thermoelectric coolers.
      Our evaporative coolers ( mattress-cooler.com/products/mattress-cooler-classic-xl) will add a little bit of humidity to the room but it is minimal...perhaps 1 quart of water over 8 hours of operation...your central AC will squeeze that back out in just a few minutes of operation as long as it cycle on a few times during the night.

      @richardanderson4897 I think you're mistaken, the model featured in this video is an evaporative cooler. You even state as much yourself in your reply to another comment.

      @@Elwon20 Hey, thank you for the correction. We have a summer intern helping out with social media so I didn't catch this mistake sooner. They thought the comment was on our other set up video for the Cold Flash Sleep Cooling System which is a compressor cooler. Luckily they still provided information on evaporative coolers. Like they said, as long as you have A/C the Classic doesn't add much humidity to your room. We are located in Houston which is very hot and humid, I currently use the Mattress Cooler Classic XL and it doesn't add a noticeable amount of humidity to the air (even with the A/C out right now)

    • @richardanderson4897
      @richardanderson4897  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No, this product can only cool 6-10F below room temperature so if you don't have A/C it won't cool very much unless your home is 75F or lower. If you don't have A/C I recommend using the Cold Flash Sleep Cooling System.

      Yes, however, we discontinued it earlier this year. We now sell the Mattress Cooler Classic XL. It works a lot like the one in this video, accept it's made with all replaceable part and allows for access inside the water tank so you can clean it better. Click the link to learn more.

    Does it actually cool you at night is it worth the price

    • @richardanderson4897
      @richardanderson4897  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It cools 8F-12F below room temperature. For some people that is too cold and they pair it with a fitted mattress topper to buffer the cold. For others the 8F-12F below room temp is just right. On average if your house is 75F at night the cooler will circulate 68F water. Cool enough to keep you nice and chilly. Compared to other products that do the same thing, it is definitely worth the price. We also provide great customer service, something that is hard to find among our competitors. Keep in mind that the Cooling Pads have to be replaced every 4-6 months. Even with having to purchase replacement pads, this is still a very affordable option to improve your sleep. Hey quick question does it actually cool you at night just wondering if it's worth the price.

    • @richardanderson4897
      @richardanderson4897  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The instruction manual states
      "③FAN Speed: Press the SPEED button to change the speed among 4 levels, “F1” is maximum,
      “F4” is minimum. The lowest fan speed (F4) will provide adequate cooling for most so start with this. Higher fan speeds will provide more cooling and also evaporate water at a higher rate.
      ④Fan Cycle : This function allows you to reduce the cooling even more by cycling the fan on/off if you find cooling is too much even on the lowest fan speed. The default is D1: the fan will spin continuously. D2: the fan will spin for 3 minutes and stop 3 minutes. D3: the fan will spin for 3 minutes every 9 minutes. D4: the fan stops working leaving only the water circulation pump
      running"
      You can find this on Page 3 of "Instruction Manual for your Mattress Cooler" If you need a PDF of this Instruction manual please message me your email or email us at mattresscoolerusa@gmail.com

    • @migueljuarez6217
      @migueljuarez6217 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wondered the same when i got mine and I think it's something you can attach to the unit instead of the hoses that go to the mattress pad if, let's say, you want to move it somewhere else and want to move the unit and the pad separately. I'm guessing that's what it's there for; I've never had to use it thou

    • @richardanderson4897

      Since it is an evaporative cooler it does not heat the area around the cooler, it does however release humidity into the air. This can be helpful and dry climates. This feature is also why this product must be used indoors and not outside/in a tent.
