With all these videos of people playing with them, I’ve always respected that Ronnie doesn’t just leave them to figure it out. He shows the the cues or plays the tambourine to make sure they stay on tempo because they don’t have any ear monitors and can’t quite hear.
The killers played my city at the weekend (Dublin) and they brought a drummer up for reasons Unknown......Ronnie looked out for him throughout the entire song.
Seems to depend on his confidence level? I've seen a couple where the person sitting in is clearly good and Ronnie picks up a guitar instead of sitting along side....

I was there and she killed it! The whole crowd went nuts! I don’t know her but I’m super stocked for her.
Roberto Ramirez true
She’s the nicest person ever! Trust
Stoked, you mean.
No, she did a good job for climbing up on stage and sitting at a drum set that wasn't hers, but she did not "kill" it. Even she knows that.
Stoked, dude....stoked

So was I. This clip and memory is one of life's great Pick Me Ups😇
I love big bands that do this kind of thing! Greenday do it as well. Those kids will never ever forget it and the bragging rights are incredible! lol

Song Title: For Reasons Unknown
Lyrics:
I pack my case, I check my face
I look a little bit older
I look a little bit colder
With one deep breath, and one big step
I move a little bit closer, I move a little bit closer
For reasons unknown
I caught my stride, I flew and flied
I know if destiny's kind, I've got the rest on my mind
Well, my heart
It don't beat, it don't beat the way it used to
And my eyes
They don't see you no more
And my lips
They don't kiss, they don't kiss the way they used to
And my eyes don't recognize you no more
For reasons unknown
For reasons unknown
It was an open chair
We sat down in the open chair
I said, if destiny's kind, I've got the rest on my mind
But my heart
It don't beat, it don't beat the way it used to
And my eyes
They don't see you no more
And my lips
They don't kiss, they don't kiss the way they used to
And my eyes don't recognize you at all
For reasons unknown
For reasons unknown
I said, my heart
It don't beat, it don't beat the way it used to
And my eyes don't recognize you no more
And my lips
They don't kiss, they don't kiss the way they used to
And my eyes don't recognize you no more
For reasons unknown
