if you want to reverse out the bcdedit command you can do it in cmd prompt either by : “bcdedit /deletevalue {current} pciexpress” OR “bcdedit /set {current} pciexpress default”
@@matthewcherrington2634 on the onexgpu? If you run the bcdedit command to revert it does it change anything? The commands are safe they just change how pcie is controlled, the default being by the os which causes the whea errors and legacy mode(the fix) to make it controlled by the device itself, so it won't break anything that's not reversible

Omg, I just finished the video. Yeah I did get those stutters twice. I had to restart everything to make it work. Will do this as soon as I get home. Thank you Nelly for posting. And thanks to the discord guy too 🥰
I just want to say thank you very much for these guides. I’m happy not to have any problem. But I would say a huge thank you again. Thank you for the install guide, it made me very easy to start using this device with my Ally X. And thank you for working on troubleshooting and making another guides to solve theese issues. I hope I can say it in the name of the whole Onexgpu community.
@@beardymcgeeright. AMD CPU with Nvidia GPU it's not an issue.. but an AMD GPU with an Intel CPU not a problem. Seems to be an exclusive problem with AMD drivers. Intel and Nvidia may cost more but a lot less, like a loooot less headaches
You’re welcome!😊 I watched a video of the new driver and it’s still using the wrong AMD application and version for compatibility. That tells me that it won’t support AMD eGPU’s yet unfortunately.
Hi Nelly, an AMD adrenalin version 24.12.1 came out recently. Do you recommend updating to this or will it break my current configuration with the Ally X? Thanks so much!
May i know is the tb4 cable for egpu will generate heat or require intel certified tb4 active cable? I am using legion go, the heat raise up to the lcd screen, i can feel the heat.
Hi Nelly, I forced another problem with the Onexgpu it is not utilizing 80 percent with 40 to 60 W in external monitor. Could you help me?(in some games like Ori)
I read some reddits that if I closed ReBAR in NVIDIA cards will make the bandwidth more stable and same thing in AMD but they call it SAM , I don't know how to do it
Nice. good stuff as usual. Would you happen to still have your x1 Intel. See if the same happens.. but on my AMD device I'm now getting similar Fps as the X1, after applying this fix
Hmmm. So applying This fix disabled the NPU on my 7840. Wouldn't show up in task manager and then error 43 in device manager. I also noticed a little slowness just opening Edge or the start menu,.that got me poking around the device manager. I wonder if it's the latest update 24.12.1, from AMD messing with drivers or something or if it's the 7800M not up to snuff to begin with causing the stuttering. Will see if same issues I have with it occur with the OneX 1 and new drivers. Because 780M works fine with 24.12.1,. haven't tried Onex1 since I got the oneX 2
hey so i onley have the balanced plan i had it on performance i changed it to balanced by accident somehow and then now performance just disapeard do you no how to get it back ? i dont have a egpu but plan to get one down the road but yeah really want to figure out how to get the performance plan back somehow the onley option now is balanced the other plans all just disapeared
@GamingRepairs no thats all there but when i go into power options it will onley let me choose the balanced profile so i dont no if the side bar ones over ride the ones in the controll panals battery option or not ? like when i go to battery and then go to power plan
@jiggy902 Oh you’d probably need to create a power plan there if you want one added. When I had a legion go, I just used the power option on the side bar and set to Balanced (17W) which is the optimal setting for the Legion go with an eGPU connected. On the Ally X performance is equal to balanced in the legion go.
I seem to be having an issue with my egpu since a recent windows update. It appears that the system is spliting the GPU between the integrated and the egpu. Having my external monitor preference the egpu over the igpu solved this previously. However I cannot seem to fix this issue. Any tips :)
If you run HWiNFO64 and there’s no PCIe errors on the sensor status, then it shouldn’t really do anything for you. But, if you do see errors in that section of the app, it should help.

@GamingRepairs my rgb doesn't work anymore and I don't think it's safe to use anymore
Does the RGB turn on at all? Like is it coming on then turning off after a few seconds?

Hey Nelly, was this problem exclusive to the onexgpu2 or was it there with the onexgpu as well?
Could happen to any amd based egpu from what I saw from testing
Hey! It was showing up on both the 1 and 2 for me and on the Ally X and X1 mini.
@@GamingRepairs would you say it's worse with the 2 than the 1. Feel like it's not as noticeable with the 1

For me the errors were actually piling up worse on the 1. AMD has some work to do lol.
Thanks for the guide! Do you also happen to know whether the new Lenovo official graphics driver would finally support amd egpu?

Which display drivers does it say for each device in device manage? And what are the driver dates for both?
@ the drivers are displaying correctly with no errors in device manager. They are for 27/11/24.
