What i have learned,apart from this video,is that there's a never ending stream of whinging whining cunts complaining about a guy who's taken the time to explain at the beginning as to why you get this msg. If he flew thru video you'd all be saying slooooow down. Just fuck off.

Clearing the cache doesn't work, clearing the history doesn't work and rebuilding your database doesn't work either.. everything was fine up until the newest update

After this month's system update, I've noticed that when you switch between internet tabs, the tab you change to is all pixelated, like all the words or pics on the website you have on the tab are all blurry for like 3 or 4 seconds and then it goes clear again. This hasn't happened to me before, they seriously need to test the updates before they release em on the PS4!

Update, it didnt change the issue but my PS4 is defragged 😄 i just bought an external hard drive to solve the problem.

This only happens when I play psnow streaming so yeah your correct about that. I wonder if it has to do with psnow has a different cloud then the ps plus has. My system had nothing on it and it was Still saying it was full but when I would click on the “load” options on the game saves while playing the game it was still saving data ( I assumed to the ps cloud) but it just was saying the system couldn’t save. Confusing I know. It’s hard to explain it without showing it. Thanks for explaining so well. Definitely has to do with the streaming games.

Same here. Confusing at times. It has to do a lot with these streaming games that’s the only time I have this issue. I use an external hard drive and save nothing to the system and it still does this. He is correct about what he has explained though. Frustrating when your halfway through a long hard game and can’t save it then have to shut every thing down and start over again lol

I've found that if you go into your notifications and view the error it let's you retry and for some reason that works for me. But deleting the update and trying again does not... strange.
Got a question do you have to have a usb connected to the ps4 or just do this without it?

I had this 180 mb update that needed me to empty 3 gb. So I followed your instructions and rebuilt the database And Boom the update now needs 5 gb of free space instead of 3 so thanks for the help man. Love yaa

So it didn’t free up any space but , before I did this my ps was running really slow and would freeze up for a few seconds when trying to join a party or check messages and now it’s as fast as it was when I bought it with no freezing or anything. Thanks

This just happened after the last update, ESPECIALLY When I open the browser....Theres something that had to have happened because I would always play video games and double tap the ps4 button and have a browser open as well, no issues.
Someome help me. I cant even get in connecting the controller. It takes me to another screen where it says it need updating but I dont have space. if I try to connect the hard drive it wont accept because its not formatted yet. What do I do?

I think it may have something to do with having multiple users on your PS4
First time this error occured I cleared cash and browsing history and it worked. For roughly a week 😒 The error reappeared, and then I cleared cash and browsing history again, disabled JavaScript, built database, even initialized PlayStation - none has helped! Now I'm just sitting here weeping about all the stuff I lost. Anything ELSE to try?!

Restarting your console and re connecting internet on the playstation will fix this 95% of the time
So when u say “turn off” do u mean “turn off” or “rest mode” ???
If people are still having issues with this on the internet app on ps4, me and my brother have another fix that might work for some: apon loading a media page or website it will give you the error, simply instead of selecting cancel or ok, just hit the circle button on the ps controller. It should then avoid the entire interaction with the refresh and allow you to continue to the site. Hope this helps!

Paul Middleton this issue is actually an engineering flaw on Sony s part, the idea behind this video is to extend the time you have between errors, much like getting temporary gains from defragging your computer hard drive.

Nothing worked for me except disabling JavaScript!
Open the browser, hit options and scroll to settings quickly. Once there disable JavaScript.

And now we have an error 'cannot clear website data' that has been happening since last update,hopefully this fixes that aswell because sony are doing jack shit
I did a complete wipe of the PS4 re-installed the game and the DLC and what not, and now the only thing I have on is Fallout 4 and after a week it's right back to the same error message.
Robert Maclean that sucks, I think the last update did more harm than good. I am noticing we don't have a very good support system with Sony and that's a shame, these are things I failed to consider when moving from Xbox to PS4 for the bigger player base. Let's hope the community responds with something that may help these issues

The amount of space on the console and the memory in the console are 2 completely different things.
