Always enjoy a walk on the North York Moors and I just knew we would see a stream train going passed lol. Looked a dam boggy walk in parts and we are taking our grandson to Gothland in the summer holidays, which he is really excited about, as he is mad on stream trains. Looks like you got a good days training in for the Three Peaks, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, ye still boggy in parts at least it stayed dry LOL, wonderful sight a steam loco going through the british countryside, not very long at all now for the 3 peaks challenge, enjoy your summer visit to Goathland with your grandson cheers nigel
Hi Nigel finally got round to watching this as we have been away and I forgot to come back to watch ! You do find the best places with great views and lovely old steam trains. Loved the 1957 one here, so beautiful and it was interesting to see those standing stones, bronze age stone circle along with the cairn. We love places like this and I wonder what was in that hollow 😯Gorgeous sheep and lambs and squirrel and the 1956 train was lovely but no steam ? 😃 That was a great training session hike , we would love this :) ~ Anna 👍
Hi Anna, not a problem nice you have watched now, thought you would have loved the bronze age stone circle and standing stones, yes as far as i can find the hollow may well have been an old farm stead, no steam with the 1956 loco was it was running downhill and didnt need to be chugging, pleased you enjoyed this, i have just returned from the 3 peaks challenge and had no internet, enjoy the rest of the weekend cheers nigel
You seem to have all the steam trains up there Nigel and the orchids. Nice to see the adder but better not to get bit. I must say I enjoyed seeing the old water tower being used there - that took me back. And as if to put the icing on the cake a vintage turbo prop fly-by. A beautiful day full of vintage peace. Well, I've been doing catch up Nige - I'll be back on track with the uploads soon. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark, yes didnt fancy getting bit at all, loved the old water tower, a biplane and of course the steam locomotives really add to the walk, the Orchids were another bonus, was a beautiful day, thanks for watching and hope the weather improves for you guys in the west cheers nigel
@@nigelharness9032 No, neither would I Nige - seen one once though. Yes, the water tower still being used is awesome as was that plane. Orchids and all a result. Grey outside but good.
