The Police Officer Who Confronted the Shooter - Ray Martinez

Ramiro "Ray" Martinez was a young Austin Police Officer in 1966. On the day of the UT Tower shooting, he made his way to the top of the Tower with the goal of stopping the shooter.
Martinez was the first person to force his way out onto the observation deck with the shooter and he fired the first shots against the shooter that put an end to that day's horror.
