Barton Fink is tops, for its gratuitous, lingering typewriter scenes. So apparently I'd been competing with you not just for thrift-shop bibles and prayer books, but for cigar boxes, too?
I might have guessed you've seen that! I've only watched it once and definitely need to revisit it. Well, I do stay away from the typewriters, so there's that.
That is one cool square frosted glass, lots of character! Now you have me intrigued about cigar boxes.
It was an immediate favorite! Cigar boxes are great for storage when you can find them cheap.
I remember those glasses from the 1970s I believe. I think I had some similar to those, especially the glass in your right hand. Very cool.
We were happy to find them!
Thrift Store Bibles is a great idea. What is the best quality or most expensive Bible you ever scored at a thrift store. I love thrift stores!
I love them too! My best finds in terms of physical quality/value have been old leather-bound Oxford KJVs.
First Scofield Bible was published in 1909 then updated in 1917 if I’m not mistaken.
That is correct! I missed that at the time I made this video.
Cool glasses!!
Easily some of the best we've found!
