This is bloody ridiculous! The cops basically steal a case of beer from a group that had, at that point, done _nothing_ to warrant police intervention then arrest someone who, rightfully, was expressing his annoyance at the harassment. Across town, someone _actually passed out on the street_ is simply woken up and told not to forget his beer! WTF!
@svenm7264 trust that's ridiculous, that's like me saying ' you might rob a bank so I'm locking you up ' even though you might never ever do it. That female officer is dangerous.
14:56. WOW! England sure have completely different rules/laws compared to Scotland. Which I already knew. But this part was not right. Yes the group was known for anti social behaviour, but the guy said, they were on the way home with the booze they just bought. Could of given them chance to prove themselves. But no, they instantly arrest, confiscate the booze. That is the same as someone leaving the supermarket with booze and pouncing on them for having drink in a public place, even though it hasn't been opened. Most of that was all show for the cameras.
@Golly Wog: Couldn't agree more. It was a stitch up from the start. No attempt to keep tensions low, but every attempt (by the pushy cop) to escalate matters. I can't swear to it, but I believe the order addresses "drinking in a public place" which is a world apart from "having drink in a public place". Unfortunately, it seems to be a trademark of policing nowadays that the cops ego, moral compass and opinion takes the place of laws. You could hear the authoritarian bent in her voice when she commented to her colleague "We can take their alcohol off 'em can't we Dave?" "You'll cause problems later if you have it"... I wasn't aware we had started hiring Thought Police.
Exactly, talking about minority report. That awful bat of a woman was loving having a go and those lads who at that point had done nothing wrong. This is why I have no respect for the police as law-abiding citizens they disgust me. Nowhere to be found when actual crimes are being committed are they.
@N Fels did you not listen . The police gave them back the case of beer. Because at the time no one was drunk or belligerent. This could have been a family barbeque. Or a celebration. Or a funeral. Beers were not opened . And the police cannot see the future.
@N Fels you are saying basically , that if my neighbors are criminals. That the police has a right to stop , and harass . That opens a whole can of worms. If your neighbor is a pedophile, then I can put you on a list . And stop you any time. As you might be the same . Think about it
So one cop takes a sealed case of beer from sober people and arrests them and another makes sure a drunk af guy doesn't forget his beer can when he let's him walk away 🤔
I agree with you Mike. This happens on lots of programmes. My hearing's not the best so it makes it difficult for me to hear what people are saying. Sometimes there is no need for it. 👍👍
This illustrates everything that is wrong with the police today. They are no more than bullies in uniform. That awful woman who attacked that group of lads who had done nothing wrong was a disgrace and then had the cheek to be disappointed that she couldn't charge the lad when he had done nothing wrong!
how on earth can that wpc take a create of beer from a sober 18 year old which he just bought from asda on on their way home, sack her, disgraceful policing
In Britain the police don't take you in before they serve you with tea 🍵 and crumpets. And if you don't like it , they'll give you coffee and doughnuts as punishment.
16:20 lol so basically the cops wasted their time and others.... nice. I could understand public intoxication but if they're walking with unopened beer and they are all of drinking age.... tf you doing? that right there is some biden logic... sad to see it spread to other countries.
Notice how before they showed the clip, they said "Intend to try new local powers". Literally looking to throw their weight around in this case lol. I'm definitely not anti-police but that is just disgusting power tripping.
@N Fels Sounds like you got some built up rage and you spend your time on youtube trying to relieve your stress unto others. big sad. get a gym membership or a shrink. also get rid of your cable so you can stop being brainwashed by the media. You're clearly losing.

tbh.. and to be fair, I kinda think the emotions and actions of the guy arrested was triggered by the cameras for this documentary, he probably wouldn't have acted out if the police just came without the camera crew. Not that I am advocating bad behavior, but I think there was some influence of the stuff happening due to the presence of the documentary team. Feels kinda lame.

"We didnt have anything to hold them on" no, barton, you unlawfully arrested someone...
I appreciate the work they do... but picking on those 18yr Olds minding their business with a sealed case a beer was over reaching
Thieves with badges. No victim no crime. She was seriously saying she should get to take it because of what might happen later.

Abusing their power yet again they hadn’t even opened it.
what a joke bullies. They should of been reprimanded.

Not sure if the laws have changed but there was a time when public drinking was an offence in Glasgow. That was in the 90s.
Well it was found unjust if u continued watching
The blonde female officer was a right muppet I agree with the sergeant she was out if line and he was right to not go with her verdict.
Can't arrest or harass people because you THINK they might commit a crime. What is this world coming to.
@N Fels wrong little man . Clean record. Imagine I stop you for looking nerdy cause nerds commit most white collar crimes.

@N Fels Keep making excuses for police thuggery - we can already see where that is taking us and it isn't pretty.

They were a bit over zealous. Those boxes were sealed and they could have been moving them from car to house. They had to let them go 🤣🤣
That one cop is a Karen
i really enjoy these vids but why does the music have to be in competition with the narrator
Agreed. They have a bad editor.

I agree with you, all this background music is just ridiculous!
Very good point.
Music…..the curse of You Tube

Karen wearing a uniform
The music is louder than the narration, not something one would expect from a professional team with sound engineering experience.
Kudos to the Whitby cops.
Sensible policing. Well done guys.
Why is the music so much louder then the narrator 🙄

Whitby. Used to be a nice place especially when the folk festival was on...went to it for ten years...never any trouble with drunks or gobs.....
In Britain the police don't take you in before they serve you with tea 🍵 and crumpets. And if you don't like it , they'll give you coffee and doughnuts as punishment.
omg lol😂😂😂
11:50 - every time i see number two in the ship name it makes me suspicios. :D
Turn music off. Cant hear
thanks for posting
The background music over shadows the vocals very difficult to follow the program due to this
Where did Jamie Oliver's restaurant go ?
They need to do something positive to help habitual drunks.....
not a poliice job.
