I got my first buck ever last night!! Im not sure what he would score but my uncle was guessing 130s , 140s. I was standing in front of a giant oak tree, he came walking by me at last light 7 yards away. Stuck him with my recurve! Thank you so much for all your tactics. I have 3 of your mini sticks an absolutely love them! I've had some great hunts while being elevated and plan to have more. .just decided to not bring it since i got out there 2 hours before sunset... You are so right about having to want it! Ive been having dreams about spots and writing them down, scouting so hard.. man when i was walking in there, he had some huge tracks in the dirt, i could see them perfect with all the rain we've had. My uncle said oh yeah thats a nice one, he's got Ivory on his toes. Man i'm stoked!
Dan is the BUCK WHISPERER, only wish I could tap into his thinking. Even thought he tells us what he does, I can’t convert it into my hunting. I see poop, I see beds, I see rubs, I see scrapes, but I can’t put the puzzle together. I’m hoping just one acorn will find my noggin and hammer in some magic. Thanks Dan.
@@chrismoe3870 yup I had to take the decal off my truck for the same reason and I live about 100 miles north of u guys now I just put them on my computer
Thanks Dan I hunted all weekend just like you talk about and didn’t see any deer but hunting big deer you don’t see many small deer I needed this pep talk thanks man
I love your videos. You really inspire me. I purchased the. Beast stand and the five sticks trying to get set up using them. I was in a bad motorcycle accident 2018 so trying to be extra careful when setting up but you really inspired me to keep striving for the goal of the big buck, awesome video.!!!!!!!
9 out of 10 young/immature bucks are shot by 45+ year old men. It's ridiculous that so many point at "young fellas." 🙄 I live in Wisconsin, and the majority of men my age (43 and older) that I strike a conversation with about hunting, the same motto, "if I don't shoot it, someone else will, it's public land." Which is why Wisconsin is slowly slipping in their conservation. It also echoes that Wisconsin is such a glutton state. "More. More. More."
First of all, thank you my friend Dan for another awesome video. Second, thank you for proving the doubters wrong. Thirdly, I learn something new from The beast every time I watch him or listen to him. Finally, glad they're lots of doubters out there. More public land for the old hard-core beasts. Your friend Abdullah
Great info Dan…the broad head that you found looks like a Razorback…..they come in 3 blade and 5. I still have my set that comes in an orange plastic box. Waukesha Mikey
I am so grateful that you post the hunts that produced nothing. That moment when a hunter has to "call it" due to closing time darkness is depressing.....It makes you feel like everything you are doing is a miscalculation.....and that the deer are out there aware of your presence.....I feel better instantly knowing that even the pros have hunts where nothing is seen or heard. Back to the woods I go.....!!!!!
Their antlers don't get that big because they're walking around during daylight or or acting like younger deer, they adapt and get smarter and smarter every time they encounter a hunter and this is my wife's TH-cam handle btw and Dan you have the best videos out there...
Im glad you Wisconsin boys came thru last night.....i was doubting Wisconsin all night but i kept telling myself that is where dan is from, dammit, i know they aren't that dumb
I typically only see 1 goodone a year. And sadly i thought my ml will shoot through that little bit of brush. It did not. Hope this is the year i see 2.
Dan, do you put info out on upcoming in person seminars? I'm in Michigan (Northern lower peninsula) and would take work off to attend in person if you ever ventured into the Mitten state again. I'm a first-generation hunter in my family and currently going on my 3rd year as a new hunter. I have been digging through your videos like crazy to learn on how to improve my hunts. My first year I got my first ever deer which was a 10 point on public by stalking him when he was bedded in an open field on a windy/rainy day (won the lottery in my opinion). The problem is I can learn how to look for deer activity and sign, but I struggle severely with stand locations/setups. I just found one last night that I THINK could be the spot, thicker than ever, transition from pines to thick hardwoods, swamp, with many deer trails and found a scrape the size of a dang car hood like you mentioned in your prior videos. My goal is to successfully teach my son and carry on the new tradition.
Haha! I was always leery about getting hit in the head by an acorn! But! Imagine one of those black chestnuts(the green baseball lookin things) going thru your windshield! Edit- Black 'walnuts'
I don’t use a lot of camera on public land. And I can find sign on public land without a problem. But my problem is finding sign where they are at in daylight. How do I know if the sign is from daylight or not so I know where to set up?
By where you find it... food source? open terrain? most likely night sign, entering a point? going into cattails? coming out of a patch of brush? probably daytime
I just took my mobile setup and bow out the truck and loaded up my rifle and little folding chair for the rut. NOW WATCHING THIS I'M GONNA SWITCH EVERYTHING BACK IN THE MORNING BEFORE I LEAVE. I'm gonna push myself to get one with my bow.
Yup. The one I am hunting I barely see anything at all. It's a mind game but he is there. Big buck hunting is not about seeing deer. It's about seeing THAT deer
I been going into public land this year and it’s insane. Ya gotta walk miles past almost the other yuppie tracks and idiots with mutts tracks…miles before I even find evidence that deer are even real anymore. I walked a public plot that’s 800 acres, and I saw two actual small doe tracks and I think I maybe found an old rub from seasons ago.
Enjoy your videos. I wonder if you are ruining your hunting chances by talking so much? Your narration is good, buy you're voice may be heard by mature bucks.

Cool seeing the old XX75 arrow and the Satellite 125....take me back to the 80's
I still carry a 135g Satelite broadhead in my case, from the 1st set of broad heads I bought 30 years ago. It's my hog special, now. Memories!
When a very successful big buck killer talks it probably makes sense to listen!
That arrow you found was cool. I’ve killed a lot of bucks with that broadhead back in the 80’s.
1:05 That squirrel jumping. Lol
Good Eye! 😂
Thanks for bringing us along with you again brother 😎
Ninja Squirrel, 1:05
Those satellite broadheads are from the eighties. I used to use those and wasp. Broadheads

🤣 I love your choice of shirts!!!
It's so funny you posted this today bc I was just thinking this morning I never see small bucks in your videos
That’s cool finding that old arrow with the broadhead still on it. Man how things have changed.
Love the T shirt and trick squirrel you had during the intro Dan. Pretty good video too.
That looks like a head made by Duke Savora. One of the first replaceable blade heads. It was called the swept wing Savora.
Watching those does come in was more suspenseful than a horror movie. Thanks for sharing.
The squirrel 😂😂
Between the hurricane debris and no rain sounds like walking on bags of doritos here in the south.
It's bad in Jersey too. All the streams around here are dry. It's brutal:(
You ain’t joking
Walk slow, time your steps differently so you sound less human more animal like
That shirt made my inner coyote hungery .
Can tell by how tight those deer were keeping their tails tucked that they have been getting chased by coyotes or dogs a lot.
The deer looked like she was looking for you.
Like the videos. Love the sticks. Just try to get me that tree stand!
The shirt game is STRONG with this one! ❤
Dan that was indeed a satellite broadhead from back in the 80's early 90's.
Yep. That looks like a satellite Broadhead that I used in the 80s.

Great video, lots of good information!! Thanks for posting Dan...
The acorn. Lmfao😂
The tree behind you looks like a set of antlers
Just put my vote in, and it wasn't for Kamala.
That’s a satallte broadband. My grandfather used those.
A 11 point spike is so much easier to get out of the woods.
savora broadhead
Best of luck this year🦌
The last sit them 3 big does probably part of his herum.
Forest Ninja, if you listen they will come! He’s not called the Beast for nothing.
Thats an old baker tree stand. The first climber ever made
How do you leave a climber in the tree? How would you get down
@tylerparker3024 he probly fell out
@@tylerparker3024 I've seen guys leave them up like hang ons. They bring sticks or ladders so they can leave it without it being stolen.

Dan, what is the “tape” on the end of your stand? Looks like stealth strips. Is it used for wind check or can to break up the outline of the stand?
Its stealth strips... I was experimenting on leafy style

Still have my dads satellite broadheads i used them when i was younger but have a few unopened packs they work well
Absolutely I been holding back but to get big bucks I gotta hunt big bucks absolutely right
Not deer hunting related, BUT, thank you Wisconsinites for voting for Trump/Vance 2024! From an Ohioan!

Satelite Razor Broadheads i think.

Beast camera arm and a sony camera in about the $1000 range

Im curios to know if you go just as far out as when you were younger or do rely more on what you have learned

Beast gear, his own designs
