Nga mihi, thank you for sharing very inspiring and reassuring the attention paid for us as a people...tangata whenua, mana whenua. You're young too, admire so much.
Is mana limited to our own or can other people have it? Reason I ask this is because if you look at Ihu Karaiti, of all people that have ever walked the earth, there has been none else that has had mana like him...a man rejected by his own and yet had aroha for his enemies
Kia ora. Met yous on paepae at Waitangi. We can learn from countless rights roopu around the world. We need clear policies and goals, no more hollow, infantile plans by stockholm syndrome boomers. Iwicentrism was promoted to Kupapa, who murdered other Māori for Crown treats. Kotahitanga is needed, but so is Kawa & Tikanga & Clear Goals. Other Movements that were lacking kaha and goals got co-opted around the world. Like The Atlas Network did in Brazil. They control our country and have been running Disinfo Campaigns. Why is Media not informing about these individuals who have been warring against Māori since Trump? Ana! Let's Go!!
Kia ora koutou! I filmed my mother the radical that inspired me so many years back. She is 93 and says she will need a wheelchair to take part in the hikoi. Eru, your tupuna whaea and my tupuna Hariata Te Rangitaupua (married the pakeha William N Searancke) are sisters. So you can add Ngaati Maniapoto te Iwi, Ngaati Apakura, Ngaati Ngawaeroa, Ngaati Hinetu. Mihi to Mariameno Kapa
Malcolm X and Angela Davis! 1970’s mentors of the radical activist and my mother then a young mother with seven children at 25. She remains skeptical of the USA. What I observe to as I watch daily the USA president elections that the black American is integrated as podcaster or journalist and like this podcast are very visual on American media this time around.
In 1831 Northern rangatira sent a letter to William IV asking him to do something about lawless Pākehā. My tipuna Pōmare signed He Whakaputanga 28.10.1835. By 1840 Māori wanted 21-year-old Victoria to finally keep her Pākehā under control. Māori would govern themselves and Vicky could govern and control her lawless Pākehā. My tipuna Pōmare signed Te Tiriti 17.2.1840.
They didn't want to understand. Colonial history tells us exactly what they were thinking. The treaty was to buy time so more colonials could arrive, take the land, and wait for the Māori to die off.
How would we get by? I mean do you guys work and for the pakeha government and get paid by them and pay tax to them? Do yous live in houses an pay rent/mortgages to them, do you get a power bill to them etc what would our world look like if we governed ourselves, would we have our own currency power plants laws etc, would we be free to travel where we want when we want, would we need a license to drive, would we live off grid simple lifestyles, just some things i think about and wonder what our world would look like if we didn't depend on the government for all the things in life.
If that is life for you We choose quality of life with family hunting fishing gathering we can live off the land easy. And we know this country like the back of our hand.. If u think that's life Paying for rent bills all that sht that gives u cancer oh well upto you... That ain't life makes us feel like we are just number in this country
The Devil is in the details. The word Sovereign is a Norse, Danish, European word. / Sove means asleep, sleeping and / reign means estates, testate or intestate land inheritance. Wake up!!!!
Early Maori sure did practice collectivism. One Iwi would often collect the other Iwi's goods and normally by force. We are all Gods children brothers and most people collect for there own whanau no matter where they are from and it's not exclusive to Maori. This view that Maori Tribes all lived in a peaceful collective has got to be a joke.
We obviously come from different "Polynesian" islands, so in saying that, why dont we look at ourselves and our Poly cousins and learn the pronunciation of our vowels, or dont we believe in that
Appreciate the subtitles, for those of us that are still learning our reo 😄

Is not Christ the true example of Tino Rangatiratanga?
