@homeautomata1734: They were actual PLC's that I used to demonstrate Modbus TCP Servers. It was not just a Modbus simulator software on my computer. I did not want to show it to avoid any confusions on the hardware. Thank you for your support to my channel.
Hi , Thank you so much this is helpful... If I have project which has Modbus Serial Devices daisy chain to Modbus TCP/IP Gateway...How do I configure and read multiple Serial slave devices ...@10:20 Min Add more rows and change Slave Address ??? Appreciate your support
@ravikishan88: Unfortunately, I have not done a setup for multiple serial slave devices. But I am pretty sure Prosoft has a similar gateway for multiple serial slave devices. I think you probably need 2 gateways, 1 for serial slave devices and 1 for TCP server devices. Thank you for your support to my channel.
Great video. I have 4 flow meters that are Modbus TCP compliant. Can I use one PLX31-EIP-MBTCP to read the flow signals and send it to Controllogix 5000 CPU ( 1756-L82E)?
@dahoodhammed7334: Thank you for subscribing to my channel. Yes you can. The gateway is very flexible, it works with both CompactLogix and ControlLogix as both controllers use the same software Studio5000 Logic Designer for programming. In fact I did set up a system of ControlLogix L72 communicating with multiple Modbus TCP devices via this gateway. This video is the right one for you.
@dahoodhammed7334: I am not sure what DLR is but you do not need 3 port on the gateway. 1 port should be good enough. This is how your system should be. Your PLC, the gateway and all Modbus TCP devices are connected to one multiple port ethernet switch. In fact, I built one system that have everything is connected to a 16 port ethernet switch and still everything worked perfectly fine for the gateway. In fact, we just built a system with this specific gateway that handles more than 6 Modbus TCP devices (2 compressors, 2 dryers and 2 nitrogen generators). Hopefully this will help you feel more confident and more comfortable on the your first application with this gateway. Of course, I am not working for Prosoft or Allen Bradley. I am sharing my experience simply because I think it might be very useful or somehow valuable to someone. You don't have to do this but a "super thanks" ($5 or $10) is always a great way for everyone to show his or her support to my channel and the appreciation to the experience I have been sharing. If you really like my channel, I also offer membership with which you can have my email for much better and faster communication just in case you need some instant support or advice. Once again thank you for your support to my channel.
@Kiran Prince: After an AB PLC receive 2 of 16 bit registers, you will need to use "COPY" instruction on Rslogix500 or Studio Logic Designer 5000 to combine them into 1 REAL variable which has 32 bits. Thank you for subscribing and your support to my channel.
@shivamdahake8915: It depends on the data type of your signals. But 8000 still is a lot. if it is only discrete signals, you can bundle/map them into 16-bit words for Modbus communication. 8000 bits can be combined into 500 16-bit words. Then I think this module can do it. However, if your signals are analog or 32-bit FLOAT/REAL data type, it would not be possible for this module to handle that much of data. Thank you for your comments.
@ffxv9m: Glad you enjoyed and learned something from my videos. Once a while I got some comments from TH-cam ads to promote my videos but I never fall for it. I strongly believe the views and subs should truly be from my audience for the quality of my video contents and the amount of experience I am sharing. Once again thank you for your support to my channel.
excellent. thank you for this.

Excellent content. Thanks for sharing!
@wandersonpereira9884: My pleasure! A "super thanks" at the lower right corner is also a great way to show your support to my channel. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing the video. Very helpful 😊

thank you
@suriyat8773: Glad it was helpful!
Excellent information. Thank you. What devices were you using as your modbus servers?
@PMMP-te8vo: I think it might be Micro850 PLC's.
Hi Sy, in your video there were 2 Modbus servers. Can you tell me what you used as the servers? Were they simulators?

Did adding extra rows with different slave addresses work for you?
Yes it did..Sorry for late reply

Thank you @@SYPHOANG
I plan to use the gateway on a DLR. And for DLR, I would need a 3 port gateway (1 for incoming, 2 for DLR). What do you suggest?

This was very Helpful. Can you show how do you read decimal values from modicon server to AB PLC?

Can I Pass about 8000 Signals from PLC to Modbus through this Module Or PlX-32-EIP-MBTCP

Do we need to download the project to controllogix processor ot can be used using MSG instruction?
@redmundperrz7234: I am not sure what you meant?
nice got 5.9kviews after a year
@ffxv9m: It is not about how many views I got from the video. It is about the contents of my videos.
@@SYPHOANG That's my point, 5.k views for this kind of content is huge and means a lot of people actually come here to learn
