Believe it or not....modern engines need to run hot to be efficient. Not overheating obviously, but normal operating Temps. When people use lower thermostats and try to keep the engine cooler is only hurting the engine in the long run due to detonation, carbon build up etc. Only track cars should worry about cooling techniques due to custom tuning.
Do you absolutely need to buy the F sport airbox or can you just buy the F sport steel pipe and attach to a stock IS350 airbox? EDIT: All good. I found my answer :) Don't need to buy the whole F sport kit. Can just buy the F Sport steel tube and the clamps. They connect fine to the stock IS350 airbox. I made my own cut my lower box cut the mesh from the top added a pipe and a k&n sounds and runs great noticble response

The F Sport package features that you’ve mentioned, actually come standard on most 2is models.
