This trailer still brings me to tears. My favorite part is at 1:10 when Connor says, "you think you're human" and Marcus replies, "I am human" Then Connor emerges from the shadows with the music "The day the whole world went away" and Marcus discover he's not human. Well, not all human. So awesome. Still like the movie.
This is one of the best movie trailers I have ever seen. I'm actually really motivated to see this movie now; this typically doesn't happen when I watch a trailer.
The song is Nine Inch Nails - the day the world went away (green mix) except someone added in the percussion (drums) that is not in the original. Most notably from 1:29 to 2:212
In one of the earlier scripts, they said that Connor was going to die via a Terminator and that Marcus was going to be "refleshed" into Connor to keep up Tech-Com soldiers morale
At the 00:10 mark of this video..when I got that far seeing this trailer for the first time I was so fuckin' pumped. One of my fav NIN songs to a *then* upcoming terminator movie. One of my fav trailers for sure
I don't think you CAN get this version anywhere. Usually, the song is edited by the people making the trailer so that the sounds and images match up or work well together. You could always just record the audio off the video I guess...
I was hoping to see more of the dilapidated city of L.A., but this is the 1st installment of a 3-picture deal. There will be other opportunities. Bale and Worthington had about equal screen time instead of what some people said about Worthington stealing Bale's thunder. The return of the Arnold T-800 was AMAZING. It looked JUST LIKE 1984 Arnold T-800. The ILM guys did a great job grafting Arnold's face onto the body of Roland Kickinger. The audience clapped and cheered when Arnold appeared.
An amazing trailer. With a no less incredible song. I watched, and loved, the movie. I can't wait for the 5º, with the promissed return of the T-1000. Imagine, the clash of this nemesis with John Connor, "super-hearted"...
This is why Trent Reznor is the fucking man. Only he can make such a fucking bad ass ambient musical vibe...and go so well..with anything...300..this.. and the song johnny Cash covered..
Mind you that they are showing an alternate universe to the original Terminator story. Originally Judgement Day was in 1997, not 2003 for example. So I think that Reese will be sent back to 1984.
(cont'd) Cameron gave McG some pointers and liked the script. *confetti* Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) looked the script over and liked it as well. She offered to do a Sarah Connor voice over in the movie if McG would like her to. Linda Hamilton's character, Sarah, was in the original draft of the T3 script, but she told T3 director Jon Mostow she wouldn't do it because the T3 script ruined the strong character which had been established. Mostow killed off the character with cancer...weak.
(cont'd) However, my optimism was boosted when I read Bale initially turned down the script and told McG to hire some talent to write it again, after which Bale would reconsider. McG hired Christopher Nolan's brother from the Nolan-Batman fame. Not a bad choice. McG (I hate even typing that stupid name) then met with James Cameron who wrote T1 and T2 and, to my pleasant surprise, hated T3. This shows that McG was learning respect for the source material and was becoming wise.
kyle reese is in it but he's only 18 or 19 in the movie so I don't think he'll be sent back to 1984 in this film. Anton Yelchin is playing him check him out on IMDB
ok u know the chik that was in the last movie the one that ends up bing his wife in the future. im asking if the redheaded chik in the trailer is supposed 2 b the same chik.
(possible spoiler warning) "'Terminator Salvation' earned $43.0 million. The film fell short of the $44 million start for the previous entry in the cyborg series, 2003's "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," the swan song of franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger." - Yahoo.
@arcticmonkeyzzz my thoughts exactly when I first saw the trailer in a movie theatre...just the first second of sound I knew it was NIN..then he said machines and I knew it was Terminator needless to say I was so ready for this movie..
One of the best trailers ever...
I still watch this trailer. It's one of my favorites. The wasn't AS bad as every one made it out to be.
This trailer still gives me the chills.
I loved this movie. No apologies.
I was so pumped as a child when I saw this child!
NIN proves again it has what it takes with a great song like this, you can feel the emotional connection in the trailer.
Love this trailer, loved the movie
This trailer still brings me to tears.
My favorite part is at 1:10 when Connor says, "you think you're human" and Marcus replies, "I am human" Then Connor emerges from the shadows with the music "The day the whole world went away" and Marcus discover he's not human. Well, not all human.
So awesome. Still like the movie.
The day the world went away! I love that song, this was a great use of NIN!
The song is 'The day the whole world went away'. It's on the albums 'Still' and 'The Fragile' - this is the latter version.
Just saw it and thought it was amazing, easily IMO one of the best they've made. I love how it ties together a lot of how Connor came to lead.
Terminators 1and 2 were still the best because of Arnold shwartseneager
When I saw this trailer in Cinema, I was no more ready to see the film I planned to watch. So f...ing badass.
I thought the trailer was better than the movie. Movie was good , I thought I could've been better but hey life's a bitch.
This is one of the best movie trailers I have ever seen. I'm actually really motivated to see this movie now; this typically doesn't happen when I watch a trailer.
:D I am glad it is uploaded I loved watching this in theaters and I thought I would never see this preview again.
This is one of the best movie trailers i've seen.
"my name is Marcus Wright." "You think your human?" "I am human" *unlatches chain* " NNOOOOOO!!!!" one of my favorite parts.
The NIN are so great 😍😍😍😍

... Thank You Trent Reznor
CHILLS, man. MAJOR CHILLS, for real...

Aliens vs terminator would be sweet.
I seen the movie but watching thistrailer makes it worth everything
I never understood the hate for this movie. One of my fav Terminators.
"If we stay the course, we are dead!
WE ARE ALL DEAD!!"
The song is Nine Inch Nails - the day the world went away (green mix) except someone added in the percussion (drums) that is not in the original. Most notably from 1:29 to 2:212
this song + this movie = best. movie. trailer. ever.
In one of the earlier scripts, they said that Connor was going to die via a Terminator and that Marcus was going to be "refleshed" into Connor to keep up Tech-Com soldiers morale
badass trailer !!!
I would have had chills had i known this song was NIN when I saw the trailer. Only a recent fan, see.
This isprobably still the most bad ass trailer for a movie i've ever seen! If only the movie could live up to the preview!
REALLY ONE OF THE BEST MOVIE TRAILERS. WE ARE ALL DEAD.
yeah it really worked well when the guitars came in. I was like "whoa"
The song is The Day The World Went Away by the Nine Inch Nails
Any trailer that uses music from Nine Inch Nails is amazing... just look at 300 and The Avengers.
This song would make even a video of grass growing epic.
i like the way the trailer skipped the song around to diff. points. sounds better this way i think
The movie was better than I expected but every1 has their own opinion
Great trailer. Great song.
This trailer rocks and the movie rocks!!!
I love this trailer
i just watched this 4 times in about 10 minutes
The terminator movies are the the best movies I ever seen.
Best trailer ever!
At the 00:10 mark of this video..when I got that far seeing this trailer for the first time I was so fuckin' pumped. One of my fav NIN songs to a *then* upcoming terminator movie. One of my fav trailers for sure

The Slendytubbies Movie - "World of the War" Trailer 5 (PG-13 / 2017)
Legit BEST HYPE TRAILER EVER
An amazing trailer. With a no less incredible song. I watched, and loved, the movie. I can't wait for the 5º, with the promissed return of the T-1000. Imagine, the clash of this nemesis with John Connor, "super-hearted"...
this trailer is so fucking cool just because of the fucking great song
It's The Day The World Went Away from The Fragile.
Best trailer ever!! So wish the movie lived up to it!!!
the day the whole world went away!
Most of the info I've got on T4 is via the net and from the trailers and spots
so cool video!!! :)))
does anybody know the name of the song that played once marcus wright started up that vechale? and kyle reese was like "what is that?" lol
This film was better than all the Terminator's combined Period.
This is why Trent Reznor is the fucking man. Only he can make such a fucking bad ass ambient musical vibe...and go so well..with anything...300..this.. and the song johnny Cash covered..
I just love seeing Post-Apocolyptic movies. NIN rocks, movie was all right.
yes it is
Mind you that they are showing an alternate universe to the original Terminator story. Originally Judgement Day was in 1997, not 2003 for example. So I think that Reese will be sent back to 1984.
The fault they made was to actually not include the Song in the movie....
I wish there was an HD or even High Quality option...
Nine Inch Nails - The Day The Whole World Went Away
Awesome Trailer! 5/5

The best trailler ever!
This is said to be the first movie in a new trilogy.

Nine inch nails is a great band, about the terminator movies I have to say that Nine inch nails is a great band.
YEA NINE INCH NAILS!!
This trailer is better than the movie itself
Nine Inch Nails-The Day The Whole World Went Away ;)
kyle reese is in it but he's only 18 or 19 in the movie so I don't think he'll be sent back to 1984 in this film. Anton Yelchin is playing him check him out on IMDB
totally agree
they are all good i think
i perfect franchise
This movie is following the T3 story. So Judgement Day was in 2003, not 1997
ok u know the chik that was in the last movie the one that ends up bing his wife in the future. im asking if the redheaded chik in the trailer is supposed 2 b the same chik.
@MauserMax my favorite trailer ever!!! defintiely the best trailer ever made, for any movie.
What is the tune at the very end of the trailer?
This song makes the trailer xD
(possible spoiler warning) "'Terminator Salvation' earned $43.0 million. The film fell short of the $44 million start for the previous entry in the cyborg series, 2003's "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," the swan song of franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger." - Yahoo.
@arcticmonkeyzzz
my thoughts exactly when I first saw the trailer in a movie theatre...just the first second of sound I knew it was NIN..then he said machines and I knew it was Terminator
needless to say I was so ready for this movie..
what is the name of the song in this trailer?
is this a remix of The Day the Whole World Went Away? it has a new extra drumline to it.
2:02 is the best part of the movie
