Been hearing “cover” bands for a half century now, starting in one of the great musical towns, Memphis, Tennessee, in the heyday of Stax, etc. These performances are right up there with those incredible bands I heard who just blew you away. These performers are first-class, studio quality professionals.
You know what's beautiful? The way the girls clearly root for each other -- while layering their individual voices so neatly. The generosity shows through.
The Pina solo at 2:35 - 3:10 was absolutely brilliant! (Standing O!) Pure passion and energy. Her best with HSCC! The lady trio is dynamic together. Great Sax solo. The entire band is the best act in the world right now!
This part was by Gladys Night back then in 1984. Ms Knight stole the song and scene and same thing is happening here by Pina! Couldn't be better as usual, HSCC!!
What a beautiful way to end my evening! Nikki: Each sweet, melodic note reminded me of the lovely and loving Dionne Warwick. Sarah: The soulfulness that you brought added another dimension to the song. Pina: The power of your voice amazes - so strong yet never overpowering. Your harmonies, ladies, were spot on. My fun time is overland camping but when it is 100+ degrees outside I'm perfectly content to sit in my cave and watch your videos.

Good stuff. This band speaks volumes of how my generation's music IS thee best. I say this because no one wants to do today's millennials music at all. Whenever covers are done, they are primarily done from songs over a minimum of at least 15 years ago, but mostly from 2 or 3 decades ago, if not more. It's what the majority of the people want to hear because it is so good and timeless as well as ageless. My nieces and nephews don't listen to anything but my era's music. They are addicted to all the funk and R&B from the 80's and often say to me. "Yall had better music than us, i wished i lived back then, it's dope". .My response to them is always " I KNOW". lol

Burt Bacharach is my all time favorite songwriter and this is one of my all time favorite songs of his. You all sound great singing and playing it. I'll never forget the day Clive Davis played the record of "That's What Friends Are For" with Dionne, Stevie, Elton and Gladys for me at the Beverly Hills Hotel before it was released. I had just played him a new song I co-wrote with Dan Navarro called "Remember Your Heart" and he said our song would be perfect for Dionne and then he said "Let me play you the first single" and proceeded to play "That's What Friends Are For". Needless to say after hearing it we gave Clive "Remember Your Heart" for Dionne for her "Friends" album. Clive knew once he played us the record we would give him our song for Dionne. Glad we did. Great memories. You guys are awesome! Loved this version you did. #Bravo

Burt Bacharach is my all time favorite songwriter and this is one of my all time favorite songs of his. You all sound great singing and playing it. I'll never forget the day Clive Davis played the record of "That's What Friends Are For" with Dionne, Stevie, Elton and Gladys for me at the Beverly Hills Hotel before it was released. I had just played him a new song I co-wrote with Dan Navarro called "Remember Your Heart" and he said our song would be perfect for Dionne and then he said "Let me play you the first single" and proceeded to play "That's What Friends Are For". Needless to say after hearing it we gave Clive "Remember Your Heart" for Dionne for her "Friends" album. Clive knew once he played us the record we would give him our song for Dionne. Glad we did. Great memories. You guys are awesome! Loved this version you did. #Bravo

I think I have at least 6 songs that a band with your talent could make big. I have an original song that comes to mind that I wrote called "Kiss" Even if you aren't interested in my music, I would love to see your band play more original tunes. If you "HSCC" like my "Kiss" song or any of my other work go ahead and play any of them and change in any way that fits your band. I would love to hear you form it in your own HSCC way. If you do choose to play one of my songs, I only ask that you list me in the credits as being the songwriter. I can write music in any style or era but I'm still parcel to the 80's sound.
