A small O2 bottle would have made a huge difference, the headache would have vanished after a couple hits of the O2. I've spent time in Quito Ecuador, and used to see guys on road bikes grunting their way up mountain roads at 12,000 ft like it was nothing. For a sea level man, that was impressive. Thanks for sharing.
I watched a ton of your videos all last riding season while working, then I broke my arm in September and couldn't ride for 6 months. A combination of the medication I was on + pain made it impossible to watch your videos without getting sick. So I played non-nausea inducing, one-handed video games instead. After a long pause though, I'm swinging back to your channel to consume all your videos again. Keep making such extremely quality content Stefano, I for one love it. Still would love longer format style videos, maybe on a second channel :)
Excellent video, I've really enjoyed this series. Good work and congrats on reaching the summit! I agree with MTB_87, you make very entertaining MTB videos, good combo of voice-over and in the moment on-trail comments.
Without a doubt I had. I've done enough high altitude stuff to know that I don't work all that well above 13k ft. This is the highest I've done so it really hit me hard.

The intro scene on this with you pushing your bike through feet of snow, snow falling down, and the music is downright enchanting, ngl.
This is probably the only video I've ever made where I was more excited about the climb than the descent.
Dude you make some of the most entertaining mtb videos. You gotta post more often. Anyway sick video bro
Really stoked you enjoy the videos. Unfortunately I don't have the time I used to have so editing is complicated, i do wish I could still post weekly.
That's a beast of a climb even without pushing a bike all the way up! Respect! 👍👏
But can you imagine getting to the top and wishing you had your bike to ride down?
@@BlindstuffMTB I've hiked Elbert before and was really wishing I did have my bike for the trip down (the bottom half at least!) haha
@@amateurhouradventures good caveat, the top is rough!
Wow what an epic ride. So grateful to you for bringing us along for the ride. Kudos to you for pushing through despite having a massive headache. 👏
Thanks Jordan! Still one of my all time favorite rides despite being so focused on the up.

Epic video!! What an amazing adventure ride. Would love to do that one day
It was! Absolutely brutal but so worth it. If you're gonna go for it, train yourself up and if you can try to do a few altitude rides first.
Oh wow thats mad. What an epic.
Crazy effort, but well worth the reward.
Awesome video man. Looks extremely challenging
It was! But also super rewarding.
What a feat! I've done similar elevation change/distance scrambles before, but never with a bike! Such an accomplishment
Thanks! That's awesome that you've done similar stuff, there's something to being up there that's hard to describe, right?
@@BlindstuffMTB It's amazing. A great workout plus the most astonishing views. Definitely worth the effort
Damn man, good job making it to the top! Those yellow aspens looked amazing!
Thanks CJ! This trip happened in mid September specifically because we wanted to try to get the yellow aspens!
Epic adventure, simply epic!
Well worth the hours on Zwift to prep lol
Dude, this is your best video to date. Holy crap man, great job!
Wow, thanks! Stoked you enjoyed the video.
Epic in every respect. What a dope accomplishment man. Awesome vid
Thanks! I was an epic day for sure. Stoked you liked the video.

Thanks a ton Tony! Really happy you've enjoyed the series, appreciate you sticking around despite me posting only every once in a while.
This was so badass! I'd so do this type of ride. Great job you guys! Place is absolutely amazing!
Thanks Ben! You would absolutely enjoy this kind of sufferfest. One of my all time favorite adventure rides.
Impressive that you did this on a bike. It's a tough hike so having to push a bike on top of that must've been brutal
Thanks. More than one time where I thought about turning back.
Good on ya my dude!
Appreciate it!
Epic!
It's a shame Mt Whitney doesn't allow bikes!
EMTB!
I wish, but its not ebike legal there.
Awesome! Is this the yt jeffsy?
Yes! My second Jeffsy, these have been great to me as a do it all bike.
Sounds like you had altitude sickness with that headache.

i done Mt Antero on bike. How long in time was it riding down?> Looked fun
Have you been to the highest points in any other states?
Just a few, but nothing this challenging and it was before I was making video.
Wow, what month was it when you did this?
Sep 21st, 2020. Only took me about 6 months to edit the video lol
Do you know how long it took you to do the whole ride?

Why is there always a chipmunk at the summit lol
Little guys are so resilient lol
