I recorded this earlier in the day and had to step away for a bit (Regina's 18-month doctor checkup, she is SO BIG), and Second Dinner put out a little statement on this stuff: "While these Series Drops will help many players along their journey, it’s not intended to fix the core issues we are all feeling around Card acquisition. The team remains focused on a larger, long-term solution. We’re planning for an even bigger Series Drop in the first quarter of 2025 which is faster than our previous Series Drop schedule." As anticipated, they kicked the can down the road once again. Dangling the carrot of "it'll get better" only works for so long. I think that breaking point has already been hit. They just keep saying the same thing with no details, no timeline, no goals. It's useless to us at this point. In many ways, to me it just feels hopeless to even express frustration at this point. I'm tired. I just want to play the game and have fun. I want people to have cards so they can play fun decks I show them. I hope Marvel Snap doesn't blow it by trying to milk a golden goose.
@@Deadeye7177 I thought it was a pretty clever turn of phrase. They have a golden goose, but instead of happily collecting eggs, they're trying to wring milk out of it.
"I want people to have cards so they can play fun decks I show them." This phrase really hurts me.... Contents Creators are feeling despair, and the Devs are just ignoring it. They are just ignoring one of the mainstream of Marketing these days... It is so done....
Dude this truly speaks about how I feel about the game, and its crazy you understand this feeling knowing you got all cards. Like I barely play anymore but I always watch your videos because you are very entertaining, but I cant even open the game and try these decks myself because I am missing 5 cards for example, and this is a cycle. The less cards you have, the less you want to play, the less you invest in the game. And the crazy thing is I was missing a bunch of cards even with the season pass, like you need season pass and something more to not fall behind. Really sad the game is in this state knowing how fun it is to play. (And so happy for you and your family, Regina will be bigger than you in a few months LUL).
Again Seriously, when someone as positive as Regis starts ranting there is a problem that Snap needs to address quickly. I was hoping that this series drop would start to fix the problem but I'm Again disappointed!!
Btw, apparently getting 100 credits from the Free section of the Vibranium Offers was just sooooooo good they HAD to cut it down to 50. God forbid we get that many credits 2 times per month.
You don't have to spend money, just play constantly for 10 years, and you'll get all the cards currently in the game. Keep doing this, and you'll keep getting cards😊.
Funnily enough they still run ads claiming that while +$50 bundles for a single card clog the shop. I guess I can't just purchase all the cards when doing so would cost a at least a months rent
@@RedMage95I have had a freaking Hit Monkey bundle advertised to me for months now and it seriously ranges between 30 and 100 dollars, I lose faith in the game every time I see it
I really appreciate you and Cozy and others speaking out. We all love this game but we can only handle being told "we hear you" and then the exact opposite of what we want happening for so long. It's also a little odd that they claim to talk to creators but basically everyone I listen to seems to say the opposite.
And she never should have been higher than Series 3 to begin with. Sure felt good melting her down into 1,000 tokens over and over when I got her for free.
@@RedMage95 Kitty was severely bugged when she first released, literally breaking the game, which led to SD removing her, then giving it to everyone for free once they'd reworked it.
You know what’s hilarious? I just had this video interrupted by the ad staring Ben Brode talking about how you can’t spend millions of dollars to buy cards right away 😂
This is the best Thanksgiving gift ever-nice work, SD! They’ve made me realize I should spend my time on something more meaningful. Byebye, Marvel Snap.
Im a whale and even I'm having trouble getting some series 5 and series 4 cards. It shouldnt be this difficult. Even veterans struggle because you need to play constantly to keep up. Do a billion missions just to keep up. If I were a new player I would be too turned off by all of this. This system is horrible.
I am a dolphin? small whale? whatever you would call someone who does not pay whale worthy amounts, but still crazy amounts, but each day my willingness to spend gets lower.
As someone who just started two weeks ago and has hit the slowdown of card acquisition, I can tell you I don't have an urge to drop money. Snap is a "quick couple games" title for me though, I'm not a usual TCG player. However, Path of Exile 2 early access starts in two weeks and I'm already planning on spending $30 to get in. And I'll likely drop more when it comes out. I know I'm gonna get my money's worth AND I'm not being forced into it.
Not to mention, many of the cards being dropped are in caches in December, so now 10 of the 12 non-new cards in spotlights in December are series 4, reducing the value of the caches.
the series drop isnt even the worst thing, it is the fact that CLEARLY 95% of their development attention is EXCLUSIVELY allocated to design more micro transactions and monetization and not improving the game. What were the last major features they implemented? - Borders including FOMO bundles and not putting them into other free rewards. ONE Border for ONE card for what 15$ and you cant swap it? - Emotes for gold - daily login to every 8h login - fomo sweaty Leagues - collector caches - deadpools dinner - split bug - spotlight cache nerf, option to get cards you already have and get 1k tokens compensation.. - gold nerf Conquest Tickets were added to Collection track almost immediately but of course Borders, Emotes etc are not. I am CL18k and you get absolutely nothing for hitting milestones.
This isn’t said enough, they massively push all these anti consumer micro transaction angles. I’ve never played a game where they hate you so much for progressing in the game. How on earth is that 4th slot in a cache not dupe protected by now?
Being a veteran player feels like being a new player except the fact that older players have more cards however You are not rewarded for playing a lot or being a veteran player This game is so trash that it has a limit of amplifiers per day, amplifiers are useless without credit and they still limit resource access
I went away a few seasons ago (like back in June) and I can’t imagine what it feels like for new series 3 players. The amount of Series 5 cards is ridiculous, where missing out on two seasons is brutal because that’s nearly 8 or 9 series 5 cards. Especially when the event cards become Series 5
I’m a fairly new player and have been a bit of a whale just to do a “tiny bit” of catching up. I’m honestly really disappointed with the state of the acquisition in this game. The game is SO MUCH FUN but this is really killing the hype for me. I’m happy I found you tho Regis. Regardless of the state of the game I will continue watching your awesome videos. Thanks for the great content! 😎
Darkhawk has been series 4 since it came out like what? 2 years ago? There Should be a rule that cards get drop from s5 to s4 at the six month mark and s3 after a year
If i remember correctly, they declare darkhawk will be forever series 4 CMIIW but i remember that since i was saving 1k tokens for darkhawk and they announce darkhawk wont be series 3 card
I returned this month because TCG pocket gave me the card game itch and when I realized card acquisition really hadn’t changed I was at least looking forward to the series drop announcement. Now I’m totally discouraged, my return might be only this month. Especially as pocket adds features
Hi, Regis. I was an FTP for 20 seasons. I reached Infinite eight times and bested Deadpool's Diner. But I left this game after the Young Avengers season. The card acquisition is far too difficult and expensive. I know people like Jeff Hoogland say this game is cheap. But as a guy who rarely spends money on video games, this game is phenomenally expensive. In short, I quit, but you're the only creator I watch because it's fun. Thank you for the content. ❤
Thanks for making this video Regis, might sound weird but your complaining just like everyone else's is justified and needed, its important we speak up on this and keep things real.
Agree with you on so many points you’ve made. I enjoy this game but the cost of keeping up with this game is beyond comprehension. I don’t understand why it is so expensive and why Second Dinner has not done more to improve card acquisition. Once I run out of keys, I’m done with Snap.
plus in one of the statements they said they continue to work closely with content creators. Which is a huge slap in the face to you and other creators have been outspoken about almost never hearing from the team. the most they do is twitch drops, which have gotten less and less rewarding. even the bounty rewards have gotten less and less. I love Pokémon pocket but it doesn't have that player retention yet, i've unlocked all the cards, made all the cool decks, but at the end of the day, snap is way more fun in its current state to put down. Also people probably have the same mindset as me of ive put so much time and money into it, and now i have to keep playing to not miss releases and get further behind.
Very well said Regis! I'm feeling the same about the state of the game and the way it treats its players. I'm shocked that currently, despite all the competition (Pokémon, Marvel Rivals) they're not going above and beyond to improve the quality of the game, in particular the card acquisition. So disappointing...
As a returning player whose at about 1,330ish level, I gave up on new cards. After opening 40 caches and only getting 2 new cards (I got a ton of titles, that i never use since they are painfully pointless). I can't even get far in the diner to get that card because I get destroyed by players who are 5k+ level higher who have just better decks. The series drop doesn't mean anything when you can't even pull cards period. I like the idea they have of once a season getting a random series 3 card from the shop, I think it should go up to 1 each week. That would help alot of new and returning players greatly
I used to watch your Bigs Bads video repeatedly and always want to play the deck. I was nowhere near having the cards, basically just having the destroy cards (new player). I finally got Electro and Wave through the caches, and got alioth with tokens... by then the deck was dated, everyone knew it was coming. Not to mention Arishem turned the meta upside down and it had just gone the direction of being able to spread power so quickly. But yeah, even if I'm able to build the deck I want, by the time I do, sometimes I just missed its moment.
I started playing Snap when black panther was released so thats about 2 years ago. In the last few months, especially with the changes with the cache we get every 12 levels, it feels impossible to keep up with the cards release and thats from a player who purchased MOST (not all) of the pass. For me the tipping point really was the last change on cache... it feels so garbage to open these that im not motivated to play and level up so i dont play enough to complete the season pass and thus i dont feel justified in buying it. I completly stopped playing in october and never looked back
I came back to the game like a month ago. I do genuinely enjoy this game. But I only played for a couple of months at launch and that's it. I came back too early, so I didn't even get the returning player rewards for Deadpool's diner. The 3000 collection tokens would have been nice. But series 3 alone seems like a mountain I have to climb, even though I'm already about halfway complete. And the card pool keeps getting bigger every week. The mountain seems to keep growing as I climb it, and it's a very frustrating experience as a returning player. Snap does not feel like a Collectible Card Game.
The mountain keeps growing even if you are a veteran player who has never stopped playing, This game is simply not fair even for those who spend money buying resources, no one is happy.
I posted this elsewhere, but something that Second Dinner could do is when a new card drops, give people a "trial card" that only lasts a week, like some MOBAs do with characters. I know for me, a lot of the disappointment came from seeing all the cool new cards coming out and only really getting to experience them through content creators. It's not as if there's a physical card for them to "take away" or add to a collection. I think letting people try the new cards would go a long way towards player goodwill. Since once that goodwill is expended, it is GONE and so is their money.
Got a Ben brode ad mid rant. “WHAT WOULD IT BE LIKE IF YOU COULDNT COME TO A GAME AND SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO GET CARDS RIGHT AWAY??” Bad, Ben. It would be bad.
From a new player perspective (started playing at the beginning of June) I have to say that I’ve bought every single battle pass and gold pass ever since the eternals season, I don’t mind spending money on games and I’ve bought a bunch of bundles ever since (I’ve spent around $250 on bundles since I started playing) and I’m still half way through S5 and even less for S4. From my experience it feels like even when pouring ridiculous amounts of money I still can’t build lots of the decks that you show on your videos. Content like yours is what keeps me coming back to the game and just not give up lol
Returning player here, I played SNAP since a little after launch. I recently came back after about 15 months and it's horrible the only thing that has changed is the META. This game is fun but now i can only play destroy or discard
returning as well...luckily i had 6k tokens and got scorn and spent 50 dollars on modok to be able to play a competitive deck. when i quit last time i just got grandmaster out of a spotlight thankfully. i want to play destroy but i don't have x23 or nico. was really hoping for a nico drop =/ ya, i'm missing like 5 cards out of all the meta decks. guess i better get comfy with my discard deck haha
Its sad that when i reflect why im staying w snap i realise ots literally cuz i spent a year on this game and have experienced fomo for the longest time which was the real reason why i never quit as i was so close to building a deck just for a new spotlight to have a card i need only at a 25% chance😢. Im sooner or later gonna confront those feelings and suppress the fact that one game wont change my life because the developers dont care enough for it to
I heavily appreciate you speaking up to this situation. Even in a "rant" you were so clinically accurate to pinpoint all the issues the game has right now. One can only hope that it means something, to them, that their biggest creators are doing these kind of videos. They also do mention that they "speak to creators", if it's not another one of the sea of lies, but I must guess their private communication stunts must be as much of a disaster as the public ones they do, considering how things are going.
Snap is cooked by 2025 at this rate. SD has gone full hyper capital, mega corpo, we want money and nothing else. They don’t care. A movement MUST happen that we won’t buy unless they care. Change the game and we’ll be happy to spend. Don’t and you can self destruct before the end of 2024.
I probably speak for alot of people here when I say, most of us watch you because it's you, your vids are awesome and we get to see you play with cards most of us will probably never get because we are getting so far behind. We got houses to keep warm and bellies that need fed. We can't just splurge a fortune to stay competitive
Regis, I only buy the season pass and the gold pass and can absolutely not keep up im not sure how you are. The first year i spent 2k to kickstart my collection and now im missing 23 cards and it's growing weekly. What sucks is that even if i have the old cards it doesn't matter because the new ones always massively power creep the old. Its really miserable how they just keep moving the goal post further out
I saw the writing on the wall back in March. Five cards a month with the limited resources they give you was unsustainable. I'm surprised it took people so long to revolt.
The last 2 cards i spend 3k tokens was Snowguard & Nebula and now the 1st will be free?? Yay!! A lot of time/resource throw away. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. This video is full of true insights. I guess Pokémon Pocket came with good timing! RIGH NOW my store has a VERY EXPENSIVE Jean Grey offer! Imagine some player spending their money on this card. =/
To be fair, who the f spends tokens on SNOWGUARD??? I would happely sell it for 500 tokens and never play it again. I would say ur frustration was deserved
I got discouraged after the first like ten months and snap just didn't offer me any reason to come back. So happy for the bazaar to finally scratch my itch for a new casual card game experience, but this is just not it anymore.
There's a belief over on Reddit that leaving the game isn't an effective form of protest. But if people are leaving your game en masse in response, not just to competition, but to a terrible decision your team has made... that is effective. You are literally taking your business elsewhere. If you want to really do your part in making this game change: Uninstall the game. Leave a negative review telling them why you left.
It's greed... There's a Havok pack in my shop that's £100 you get three keys and 310 boosters and havok and that's all. Even though he's a spotlight tomorrow. Absolute joke
It seems that Second Diner (SD) is just OK to lose new players... I have most of the cards but really doubtious on the status of the game, and can't imagine how much frustration new players will face... Even if I have most of the cards, I still feel fear whenever new cards on spotlight... It seems SD is just fine with having more bots, and don't care having new players... I want the game to be vivid and alive, and I do hope having more players and fans, rather than keeping my privilege on collection by spending tremendous time n' money on a 'dying' game.... Please SD... LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY.. When you still have ppl pointing out the problem.. plz... Being forgotten and silence dominating are the WORST Scenario....
I appreciate your candor on the topic, especially considering the position SD has been putting content creators in. Youll have a fan base regardless of Snaps future🍻
"It's not pay to win!----- but if you want to get new cards to be able to keep up in the meta, well you're going to HAVE to pay or sell your soul to our game"
It truly is an issue to make another point. I spent a lot of money to catch up when I first started. I thought getting collection complete (which i am) would ease up on my snap spending but I actually find myself spending the same amount to stay complete. Just to say it's also a struggle for high level players so I know it's definitely hard for new or returning players as well
I watch this channel loads but I'm so, so frustrated at card acquisition. It's almost adversarial, like the systems in the game are working against you getting that fun new card. I don't know how long you have to play to be able to keep up - right now it feels like a massive grind to get cards and then, sorry buddy, here's Annihlus. Such a shame, it really does make me wanna sack the whole thing off. Such a shame.
I was expecting a cache opening video for the rant on this (a rant was obviously coming because this is situation is so dire and sad), but making a deck out of the 12 cards adds so much to the irony of it, really genius mr regis, even predicting Second Dinner's comments on the official post of supposed future improvements. I hope SD takes to heart the outcry of the community, I've yet to see a single person with positive feedback about marvek snap as of recent other than very simple "well I'm having fun". Players from all CLs, whales to F2Ps, seasoned veterans to newbies, everyone I see around is only here expressing their frustration. It's really disheartening to watch all of this unfold, marvel snap is so extraordinarily fun but slaps in the face like these while they also mock us with stuff like the doodles in the Deadpool's Diner menu, showing that they DO see the complaints theyd just rather make a joke than effectively change anything. promises of "Improvements will come" can only be stretched so far. really sad thing to see for such an otherwise great game
As someone who only started playing in August this feels rough even for me. Im still Series 3 but i can tell that theres so many issues with card acquisition. Im playing Deadpools Diner getting killed by much higher CL players with cards it might take over a year for me to get.
Oh yay. Now I only have to spend 3000 instead of 6000 of the games PREMIUM currency as a F2P player for some mid-tier cards. How will I contain my joy?
3:53 The mixed feeling of being seen but feeling called out is… odd. However, I just wanted to comment that despite the dissatisfaction with the game, I’m still happy that it let me find your content!
Very well put. It really doesn’t feel like they respect their players, ever since the issue with Chase Spitzer, one of the games biggest whales, I joined the F2p crowd and I was buying everything. I’ve been using whatever resources I’ve accumulated to get the new cards until I run out
Regis… you’re a genius.🙂 Hearing this rant from you was honestly refreshing, especially with how statistically and logically backed it was. You’re right, there’s no excuse anymore and they’re clearly not willing to be transparent about it anymore
They've been telling us that they're planning new ways to help card acquisition for a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time. They aren't going to. Because people still throw money at this game. They just don't care. Glad you started Pokemon content. Snap has just done to much to drive me away.
Didn't get to feel this that much until Deadpool Diner came along and quite honestly made me want to puke. Only decks I loose against have cards I do not have and can't get reasonably in the next 6 months. That is it. Like.... I just lost a game against MR Negative running Wong, Zola, Mystique, Black Panther, Magik combo... I do not have Negative, Zola, Panther or Magik... I do not have answers to that... and to many others. So... how are we supposed to play the game? If I can't win, but I have to pray that my opponent doesn't have good cards? How am I to play if I do not have a way to acquire those cards? Man... it got me salty and I've been playing actively for like... two months now?
Also the best game of the year just released its beta. The Bazaar is incredible and Snap has just been a headache, especially with deadpools diner brutal scaling set up. Consider making some bazaar content you’d be phenomenal at it.
I had to stop playing this game last year because I just couldn't keep up. Snap became unsustainable from a time and money perspective for me, and it's news like this that actively keeps me away and kills any motivation for new players. It's not possible to play this game without sinking a huge amount of time and/or money, and like you said, sometimes even large amounts of money can't get you the cards that make or break decks. I only watch your channel for your personality and style, not this infuriating game.
total piss take. Second Dinner are fast trading away any shred of goodwill from the player base they had left. They are also failing to recognise that big competition is rising around them and people are already migrating away. so many people are right at the point of leaving, myself included. i’m tired of them taking the piss with the exorbitant microtransactions, every single new card being series 5 and SD nickle and diming us over everything
11:39 this is the problem, you have to spend at least the season pass to stay somewhere near relevant. Let alone the stupid super premium pass they’re planning. As a f2p I’m getting so behind even though I’ve been playing nearly 2 years! I manage my resources as best I can, but I’m missing cards in so many decks I want to try. This game is so predatory it hurts, the gameplay is so good, but I hate how it’s going. Thank god for Pokémon pocket man
As an alternative, you should try the BAZAAR. Its also a tun-based game and really fun! I heard this game was created by a pro gamer and he was doing research about this for like 6 years. Even though the game is really new, but i thought you might find this amusing too. Hope this help!
What pisses me the most is that there are cards that do need a drop, like Red Guardian, who is the only card against Activate; cards that would actually benefit from a drop like Miek, Selene or Ghost Spider; or cards that SD would gain benefit (in terms of PR) in dropping them, like Cassandra or Black Knight Besides Iron Lad and Pixie (which are cards too good that they weren't even in the conversation), all cards were predicted or at least on the possibility of Drop. X-23 is the card that everyone but me thought it would be dropped. In my opinion it's pretty much of a lynchpin in Destroy decks, so I wasn't expecting SD to take the step, so it's a great choice. Grandmaster, Valentina, Phastos, and Bill are cards that are moderately good and do deserve their Drop Jean Grey and Supergiant are cards that are the base of their own niches (in Hela-Modok and Control Decks respectively), so this would have a healthy impact on the Meta Snowguard and Sasquatch are pretty meh cards, and they were just filling spaces in the Series List. Sasquatch works as a replacement card in Bounce decks (taking the place of Sage or Hit Monkey); and besides ruining Limbo, Snowguard doesn't do much. Kitty is a strange case. First I must disclaim that I disagree that part of "everyone got it for free", since the amount of players a year and a half ago who received her isn't the same as the amount of players at the moment, so I don't think that's a good argument for dropping her. Leaving that aside, it's a card way too good, and unlike with Jean and Supergiant, I think that a rise in Bounce decks may be prejudicial to the meta atm, even more since the addition of Toxin last season. Kitty Pryde is one of the few cards that do deserve their spot at Series 4. IMO is a card too good for giving it for free (Remember that the new Series 3 card will be available for free as the new Free Monthly Series 3 cards.)
Yep that's my main issue, can't get the cards. Played a long while stopped because couldn't get cards. Came back mainly due to your videos but still can't get cards. I'm literally still playing the same bad versions of decks since a while into the games release. Really frustrating.
I am a 2 months old player and it's like what you said: it's frustrating to be beaten by players who just have better decks. So I set my expectation low, have fun with the game. Heck, I even laughed and enjoyed the game even when I lose. And I quote Marilyn Manson: "Capitalism has made it this way". G. R. E. E. D.
I don't know how people or Second Dinner, think that Spotlight Caches being random, is a good idea . Once i get 120 CL , i want to choose what i get, not 1 in 4 , then i could get unlucky 3 other chances . Once i didn't the card i wanted after the 3rd time, i just quit the game, that was almost 1 year ago. i feel they are not making it enjoyable to acquire cards, and everything has to be a grind . The collection ladder, used to be so much better with gold in there, tokens are less, which suck , but now we get tickets and Word Phrases / Pixel Variants, which are useless . Mostly the mid to whales will exist, if they continue this .
Now to be fair…this is literally the only game where you can actually be competitive with a wider variety of decks and a wider variety of cards, and the lack of a few cars doesn’t necessarily lock you out from playing a particular archetype
I also play MOBA mobile games and when a hyped direct competitor to the number 1 MOBA mobile game released. the number 1 game gave a ton of free in-game stuff. I actually expected Snap to do the same during the global release of Pokemon pocket. But we got zilch.
As a PC only Snap player, I've just been enjoying other games like The Bazaar over playing Snap. Its not like I'm f2p, I'm a minnow, I spend about 30-40 bucks a month on Snap, but I took a few months break from Snap and came back. Its been about 2-3 months back and I still never feel caught up with the release schedule. Instead of playing this perpetual catchup, I decided to just move onto other games that felt more worth my time. The series drop of only 3 cards to S3 just cemented my permanent leave of Snap.
This feels so bad in so many ways. This is way to little in the way of helping players with card acquisitions, and they keep saying that they "hear us" and are "Working" on making it better, but it really just feels like false promises. Its hard to believe that they ever really meant that they would make card acquisitions better, and even harder to believe that they ever will.
When you realize to get a New card you need to gamble 1/4 (2 variants + card you already have). New card every week, and you only can get 2 key max every week even if you buy season pass.. as a casual player. (Without game event like dp dinner) It's hard to get Token now, in *year one* you can get 500 token ok spotlight cache and get new card from token shop every 1 month now? Pftt..
Came back to Snap during Deadpools diner after stopping a season after Loki. And now I've stopped again because it's simply not doable. Got some enjoyment out of buying Arishem with tokens and playing some of the newer cards. But it's just not sustainable. On top of that, the Aliances and quests just felt like work.
I don't and never have played Marvel Snap, yet I watch every video you make. Give this a thumbs up if you also watch Regis Marvel Snap videos and don't play the game.
I picked the game up again about a month ago. And I've went up quiet a bit like close to 1500 and I haven't gotten a single new card in my cache. Card acquisition is astronomically hard in this game
I spend $20/mo on this game and I'm light years away from even coming close to being able to play most meta decks. Extremely annoying and I'm on the precipice of quitting. I came back to Brawlstars after being away for 6 months and it took me only two months to get caught up. SD needs to fix this or theyre going to destroy the game.
the Deadpool event is sick, but this season i hit infinite after two month of playing. This event has been hell for me... I'm just getting dicked down by 20,000 plus collection level (Im 2100 btw) ... i haven't been able to get more then 20k bubs, and i know skill issue. but living tribunal, wong, mystic, knull, discard Dracula, nimrod, and this new line with fenris and viper
Share these sentiments very much - love the game but being a F2P player and played it incessantly since it came out, I've stopped in the last year as cards are just impossible to acquire unless you insanely grind away. End up playing the same decks and can't play anything else to be competitive and scale the ladder which becomes boring very quickly. Moved to Pokemon Pocket for now so we'll see how that develops...
I think part of the issue is that the card acquisition being so sparse makes the cards you do get, ironically, less valuable. Most cards in this game are printed with specific deck archetypes in mind, no surprise there, but it means a card is potentially just kinda useless if you don't have the other cards that support it, made worse by there not really being any way to target getting the cards that go with it
so true, I ve been playing for more than a month, love the cards, love the gameplay, but now when I'm at 1000 CL, rank 73, with 4k medals I will 100% get the Jane Foster in Conquest, and currently at 100k in DP diner, there's nothing to do left, the DP diner is tooooo hard for me to advance to the point of Collector tokens, not to mention 15M to get King Eitri :( there's nothing to do left even though I want to play a lot, my deck is useless compared to other players
I started the game in April 2024. I've paid 15 to 20 dollars a month since July. That was really fun while putting my baby to bed or back to sleep. Sadly, I don't want to spend money here anymore.
Yup I uninstalled today. I will however keep watching you to see if the situation improves. I wish I didn't come back after my 6 month hiatus last year.
I miss when you could get cards on collector's cache, I remember that I got Kang on a chest when the "Big Bads" was a thing, I was the happiest person playing one of the worst cards in the game, I miss thay excitement
I recorded this earlier in the day and had to step away for a bit (Regina's 18-month doctor checkup, she is SO BIG), and Second Dinner put out a little statement on this stuff:
"While these Series Drops will help many players along their journey, it’s not intended to fix the core issues we are all feeling around Card acquisition. The team remains focused on a larger, long-term solution. We’re planning for an even bigger Series Drop in the first quarter of 2025 which is faster than our previous Series Drop schedule."
As anticipated, they kicked the can down the road once again.
All of this is super valid...but "milk the golden goose" are certainly words.
@@Deadeye7177 I thought it was a pretty clever turn of phrase. They have a golden goose, but instead of happily collecting eggs, they're trying to wring milk out of it.
"I want people to have cards so they can play fun decks I show them."
This phrase really hurts me....
@@RegisKillbin I'm stealing it!
You know Snap is in a dire state when a Regis Rant drops
Seriously, he's pure sunshine and puppy dogs. If SD makes him rant, they really f**ked up.
Couldn't agree more. Regis is the man! I hope his rant affects snap team.
Again Seriously, when someone as positive as Regis starts ranting there is a problem that Snap needs to address quickly. I was hoping that this series drop would start to fix the problem but I'm Again disappointed!!
It's not the first rant either, I've seen him rant like 3-4 times in the past couple of weeks about the game, it says a lot
agreed he's normally such a spineless jellyfish
Btw, apparently getting 100 credits from the Free section of the Vibranium Offers was just sooooooo good they HAD to cut it down to 50.
God forbid we get that many credits 2 times per month.
Remember when the pitch for Marvel Snap was “you don’t have to spend a dime to get cards?” Good times
You don't have to spend money, just play constantly for 10 years, and you'll get all the cards currently in the game. Keep doing this, and you'll keep getting cards😊.
Yeah that idea last for one week after the game launch😂😂
Funnily enough they still run ads claiming that while +$50 bundles for a single card clog the shop. I guess I can't just purchase all the cards when doing so would cost a at least a months rent
Remember when reserve caches actually got you cards, now you got a tickets lul thanks ben!
We know Kitty just droped because everyone got her for free (in the only case of Seconde dinner doing something good)
And she never should have been higher than Series 3 to begin with. Sure felt good melting her down into 1,000 tokens over and over when I got her for free.
How did we ger her for free?
@@RedMage95 Kitty was severely bugged when she first released, literally breaking the game, which led to SD removing her, then giving it to everyone for free once they'd reworked it.
@@ndruitt must have been before my time, took me forever to get her.
That was in May 2023...
U a whale 😂
I am a dolphin? small whale? whatever you would call someone who does not pay whale worthy amounts, but still crazy amounts, but each day my willingness to spend gets lower.
@@MrStatistx im a shark i steal yo money
- Emotes for gold
- daily login to every 8h login
- fomo sweaty Leagues
- collector caches
- deadpools dinner
- split bug
- spotlight cache nerf, option to get cards you already have and get 1k tokens compensation..
- gold nerf
Conquest Tickets were added to Collection track almost immediately but of course Borders, Emotes etc are not.
@@garethstead7527YES ! In the 4th spotlight cache , I am always getting dupe , it's frustrating 😢
Hey, finally a deck that I have all the cards for! 😅
I LUV THIS ONE!!
funnily enough i’m at almost 4k collection level and still don’t have this whole deck😭
Regis: A Voice for the Community.
Darkhawk has been series 4 since it came out like what? 2 years ago?
There Should be a rule that cards get drop from s5 to s4 at the six month mark and s3 after a year
Thatll be too op
Back in the day everything was series 3 by the 6 month mark, haha.
If i remember correctly, they declare darkhawk will be forever series 4
CMIIW but i remember that since i was saving 1k tokens for darkhawk and they announce darkhawk wont be series 3 card
@naoi_25 that's messed up
Well, there is Ironlad for series 5. Luckily they decide to drop it to series 4. Lol.
Imagine saving up around 100 caches just to only get around 1 new card and the rest just titles and variants…. It hurts 😕
I was waiting for the series drop to decide if Im going to keep playing Marvel Snap but honestly Im done with this Game and SD.
Agree with you on so many points you’ve made. I enjoy this game but the cost of keeping up with this game is beyond comprehension. I don’t understand why it is so expensive and why Second Dinner has not done more to improve card acquisition. Once I run out of keys, I’m done with Snap.
Because they have a ton of people who pay to do stuff like golden cards on day 1
Thanks for being our voice
plus in one of the statements they said they continue to work closely with content creators.
That would help alot of new and returning players greatly
just make a sara control deck. Use a list that is 1.5 years old. it will work.
@@micahlarimer155 does that require any series 3 cards? because i have like 5 of them
I used to watch your Bigs Bads video repeatedly and always want to play the deck.
I completly stopped playing in october and never looked back
i stopped playing after high voltage and only watching ms youtuber playing
Future Regis interjecting to let you know that regular Regis is about to go off. My favorite moment of every Regis video.
That's a really dope idea actually👀
Got a Ben brode ad mid rant.
“WHAT WOULD IT BE LIKE IF YOU COULDNT COME TO A GAME AND SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO GET CARDS RIGHT AWAY??”
Bad, Ben.
Its really miserable how they just keep moving the goal post further out
He probably has a solid amount of keys and collector’s tokens loaded up. Especially since collector tokens used to be a lot easier to get
@@JH0207Yup
@@wowzenqsog😂
I got discouraged after the first like ten months and snap just didn't offer me any reason to come back. So happy for the bazaar to finally scratch my itch for a new casual card game experience, but this is just not it anymore.
There's a belief over on Reddit that leaving the game isn't an effective form of protest.
But if people are leaving your game en masse in response, not just to competition, but to a terrible decision your team has made... that is effective.
You are literally taking your business elsewhere.
If you want to really do your part in making this game change:
Uninstall the game.
Can't believe I bought Kitty with tokens a few weeks ago to go with Thena
Patch note :
+ Regis rants
I appreciate your candor on the topic, especially considering the position SD has been putting content creators in. Youll have a fan base regardless of Snaps future🍻
"It's not pay to win!----- but if you want to get new cards to be able to keep up in the meta, well you're going to HAVE to pay or sell your soul to our game"
Thank you Regis
Game is dying and the best idea is drop 3 cards, cards that everyone has 😊
It truly is an issue to make another point.
Generally if a F2P game where you can fall behind drives me away, it doesn't matter if things get better, I'm not going to want to play catch-up.
As someone who only started playing in August this feels rough even for me. Im still Series 3 but i can tell that theres so many issues with card acquisition. Im playing Deadpools Diner getting killed by much higher CL players with cards it might take over a year for me to get.
You know it's serious when Regis doesn't start a video with "So..."
Unfortunate that the recent news overshadowed the great Snowguard edit on the thumbnail. It's subtle this time, but really clever.
I haven’t played in months. I was tired of it taking forever to get new cards. I still love watching your videos though.
The best part is people seem to forget. We got Kitty Pride for free
Thank god for Pokémon pocket man
Reminder that baron zemo and blink haven't appeared in spotlights either.
3:05 literally their response lol smh….
As an alternative, you should try the BAZAAR. Its also a tun-based game and really fun! I heard this game was created by a pro gamer and he was doing research about this for like 6 years. Even though the game is really new, but i thought you might find this amusing too. Hope this help!
What pisses me the most is that there are cards that do need a drop, like Red Guardian, who is the only card against Activate; cards that would actually benefit from a drop like Miek, Selene or Ghost Spider; or cards that SD would gain benefit (in terms of PR) in dropping them, like Cassandra or Black Knight
Besides Iron Lad and Pixie (which are cards too good that they weren't even in the conversation), all cards were predicted or at least on the possibility of Drop.
X-23 is the card that everyone but me thought it would be dropped. In my opinion it's pretty much of a lynchpin in Destroy decks, so I wasn't expecting SD to take the step, so it's a great choice.
Grandmaster, Valentina, Phastos, and Bill are cards that are moderately good and do deserve their Drop
Jean Grey and Supergiant are cards that are the base of their own niches (in Hela-Modok and Control Decks respectively), so this would have a healthy impact on the Meta
Snowguard and Sasquatch are pretty meh cards, and they were just filling spaces in the Series List.
Aw shucks, I’m only missing 11 of these cards. Makes sense though, I’ve only been playing for *2 and a half* years 😅 guess I gotta play more 😋
I am a 2 months old player and it's like what you said: it's frustrating to be beaten by players who just have better decks. So I set my expectation low, have fun with the game. Heck, I even laughed and enjoyed the game even when I lose. And I quote Marilyn Manson: "Capitalism has made it this way". G. R. E. E. D.
Thanks for spitting the truth Regis, I'm so over this game
Better card aquisition at this point is just the fairy tale a parent tells to their child each night
The collection ladder, used to be so much better with gold in there, tokens are less, which suck ,
but now we get tickets and Word Phrases / Pixel Variants, which are useless .
(Without game event like dp dinner)
It's hard to get Token now, in *year one* you can get 500 token ok spotlight cache and get new card from token shop every 1 month
now?
I think all of this could be solved if they made collector tokens more accessible
the Deadpool event is sick, but this season i hit infinite after two month of playing.
I've just spend grandmaster for 6000 token and now it gets drop, WTF????
I quit from the pressure of having to not stop playing to even imagine keeping up, not fun.
I only have Phastos and Valentina. So, hopefully a few of these are easyier to come by. Ive been wanting Hope Summers, X23, Pixie, and IronLad.
