    1:29:49 What does Jememiah 3,8 means where God says "
    She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one, Israel, I had sent her away with a decree of divorce."?

    • @DavidPawsonMinistry
      @DavidPawsonMinistry  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      HI This is Steve, firstly The Lord compares His relationship with Israel to that of a Husband and his bride. In those days the land was split into the the tribes of the North - Israel and the tribes often south Judah ......the NIV states:
      '' I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her way because of all of adulteries . Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear: she also went out and committed adultery ''
      The Lord 'divorced' Israel because of her unfaithfulness, but then gave her a chance for reconciliation vs 13 with the condition to ''acknowledge your guilt ''
      (They were worshiping other gods)
      God divorced Israel but HE did not then marry another ....His Covenant to Abraham was not broken just because of a divorce, but as a husband HE offered reconciliation

      With respect this is a video about the lessons of the Holocaust, David starts specifically describing the optimism that existed at the start of the 20th Century. David addresses the specific event In Germany where Hitler tried to annihilate, and eradicate all Jews. This is not a video Slavery, nor many other atrocities that humans have suffered throughout the ages. How does that minimise slavery and the slave trade ?

      @@DavidPawsonMinistry Because Hitler saw Jews as white outwardly. As his German brethren with a strange religion. He said he saw them as human, unlike negros.
      He didn’t see the Jews as the bottom at all. That was clearly reserved for negros. The Zionist plan was to make whites the biggest victim to deceive. The claim that Jews were a race that had high positions in Germany tells you they were not seen as non-white. Hitler says this in Mein Kampf

      Hi - Hitler set up the 3rd Reich or the 3rd realm - Empire
      The 1st Reich /Empire between 800ad and 1806AD, was a German Empire called the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation .....David omitted the words ‘’German Nation’’ as is quite common - this German empire covered most of Central and Western Europe that was at that time ruled by the Germans
      - this is not to be confused with the Roman Empire 27BC to 286AD....... which was not German but Roman
      Why the 1st German Empire was called the Holy Roman Empire I just don’t know unless they were comparing themselves to the land ruled under the former Roman Empire
      The 2nd German Empire existed between 1871 - 1917 when Germany was defeated at the end of the 1st World War ...... Hitler created the 3rd Empire which was very short lived, at one time during the 2nd world war Germany ruled much of Central and Western Europe
      Forgive me I am not a historian .....

      @missasinenomine 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DavidPawsonMinistry Thank you for the info. I didn't know that. (Hence my question). The "Holy Roman Empire" sounds very Italian to me! Or Vatican. I'll do some homework ..............

    I don't think it is right to say the Holocaust was God's punishment to the Jews. No one knows why it occured. I don't think we are punished in this life for our sins. In John 9 verse 1, Jesus is asked: "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered: "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God be revealed in him."

    • @DavidPawsonMinistry
      @DavidPawsonMinistry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Christianne there are two separate questions here
      1. Does God punish sin during our lifetime ?
      2. The meaning of John 9:1?
      ......Jesus was asked by the disciples whether the mans blindness was a consequence of sin ?....and Jesus was clear - it was not .....and Jesus proceeded to heal him. The Pharisees were unhappy that Jesus healed on the Sabbath which was not allowed but also they questioned whether the man was blind in the first place
      The Blind Man who's sight was restored answers their unbelief by saying
      ''We know that God does not listen to sinners , He listens to the godly person who does his will''
      So does God punish sinners ?....well its clear he does not listen to sinners........... so is that not a punishment, that ones Father in Heaven will not listen to ones prayers .....because that person commits sin ?
      But there is good news. 1Jn1
      If we confess our sins - HE is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and clans us from all unrighteousness
      ........ but the opposite must also be true............. if we do not confess our sins .......HE will not forgive us

    • @janetmoyo8341
      @janetmoyo8341 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The way I see it, it may not be his punishment as such, but after reading Deuteronomy and Leviticus, I'm more and more shocked at the startling similarities between what God said would happen, and what really did happen.
      You'll be hungry, scared, naked etc...
      The biblical prophecies are still carrying on. God is clear in Leviticus that he wanted the Jews to be unlike any other race. Some of the laws in Leviticus, God clearly says he didn't want the Israelites doing the things, simply because other nations, especially the Canaanites, were practicing them.
      So when they are just like other nations (which we all know don't live according to God's laws) they are in breach of the covenant they entered into.
      To me, it makes sense, and it actually scares me because even though I'm a Christian, I'm often under pressure (and I often succumb) to fit in with those around me.

    I respectfullyust disagree that anti-Semitism was a modern invention. Martin Luther (German) himself wrote the book on anti-Semitism. Well before Hitler German society was already radicalized by a thousand years of church teaching. The acceptance of everyone is a modern invention the church is still adapting to. Wrapping this up as Hitler's fault is frankly dishonest. And now he is misquoting the first they came quote replacing communists with Christians. Now misquoting Darwin. The millions of deaths were caused by the millions of preachers teaching religious superiority for a thousand years. This speaker would have been one of them.
