I am extremely grateful for this man’s teachings and have been listening to his sermons almost everyday I drive. However, tithe is not a mosaic law that we now can choose to neglect, as Paul spoke about tithe in 1 Corinthians 16:2. Subjects in the Old Testament Jesus and apostles corrected in the New, we follow the New (such as doing good in the sabbath). Tithes is not corrected. Giving God what is due is still a serious subject in the New Testament. Ananias even died lying about what they offered. Giving God what’s due is still a tenth since this number had never been corrected in the New Testament.

What nonsense to accuse David of being a false Prophet by some commenters. He often asks his hearers to check out his teaching. He loves the Lord. And if you have ever had the privilege of spending any time with him he firmly and lovingly leads God's people. So lets not judge the messenger With harsh comments because we don't agree.

David Pawson believes in the so-called holy trinity which is false doctrine.
Pawson has videos warning of bad teaching mixed in with good teaching. For example: after a talk on grace, Pawson concludes with one such warning starting at timemark 1:18:40
      th-cam.com/video/xgl3DqSh-M8/w-d-xo.html
      Changing gears, friend.
Some months ago, I exchanged with Pawson's friend Steven who informed me David had suffered a fall and was recovering in hospital. I was trying to exchange with Pawson on proper water-baptism and God being one and Lord Jesus being God's name. But Steven stepped in and exchanged for a comment or two but soon gave up. Steven doesn't have an answer on the difference between titles-baptism and baptism in the name of Jesus, as well as other points. And Steven said Pawson had seen my comments but couldn't respond.
      Changing gears again.
I tell you that I was given revelation in July 2018 and was a trinitarian who believed in the holy trinity. I was connected to a small baptist church that taught once-saved-always-saved and the accompanying salvation through faith alone. I had been studying if once-saved-always-saved was correct or not when Lord Jesus led me to Pawson's teaching on how that doctrine is false. I went back and forth with the baptist minister who runs that church and who was telling me once-saved-always-saved is absolutely correct. I was at a crossroads and was definitely leaning in Pawson's direction because of David's clear understanding based on script.
Suddenly, Lord Jesus stepped in with His Holy Spirit and confirmed once-saved-always-saved is indeed false along with salvation through faith alone ... as well as ... the so-called holy trinity and the accompanying titles-baptism. And I tell you holy trinity and whether my water-baptism was in question or not were the last things on my mind. Two days later I was water-baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins per Acts 2: v38 ... and couldn't be happier. Hallelujah !
So in short order, Lord Jesus granted me truth which He expects me to share.
And keep in mind beside doing away with false-doctrine and me separating from that small baptist-church, Lord Jesus directs me to always ask Him first and foremost about anything especially questions about His Holy Bible. Most times it's a day or so before Lord Jesus responds but He does respond. Praise God.
Friend when I went through more of Pawson's videos, I came across a two-parter on the trinity where the second video finishes with David and that group singing, "Father We Adore You."
In the video I saw, Pawson in the middle of that heartfelt song stopped singing as the group continued to sing and he looks right into the camera and shakes his head decidedly in the negative direction as David mouths the word; No.
I told Pawson and Steven as much a few months ago and as a result; that video has been changed or edited where we don't see the part with Pawson shaking his head and mouthing the word, No.
Keep in mind after thinking I had found the Holy Bible teacher of Holy Bible teachers in Pawson just before my revelation. But when I went back through some of David's videos post-revelation and saw Pawson's trinity videos again but now in the new light of trinity being false; I shed real tears over watching David shake his head during that tune.
Friend, Lord Jesus doesn't normally appear in glory to someone to convince them to follow Him or of certain truth. Lord Jesus normally uses regular people who try to talk to other regular people about His truth.
What I can tell you is to check what I'm telling you for yourself. Go to a man of God, not a woman of God but a man of God who says this phrase over you as he dunks you under the water, "I baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins."
You were probably water-baptized in titles if you were water-baptized at all. And water-baptism is a command from Lord Jesus which Pawson agrees with ... only Pawson believes in the incorrect titles-baptism.
In a nut shell titles-baptism is based on Matthew 28: v19. Now that verse is absolute truth. Amen. Trouble is most people's understanding of that verse is incomplete. The verse says Lord Jesus commands proper water-baptism as well as Who is the one commanding that proper water-baptism. Meaning: Lord Jesus is Father, Son, Spirit and hundreds of other titles at the same time.
If the proper baptismal-declaration is supposed to be Father, Son, Spirit ... question:
Why don't we see any miracle being performed using the phrase, "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" ... let alone any water baptism being performed using Father, Son, Spirit ?
We do see miracles and water-baptisms being performed using "in the name of Jesus Christ" as in Acts 2: v38, Acts 19: v1 thru v7, etc.
So friend. We can exchange on the difference in baptisms but I'm hoping you go to that man of God, and ask him first if he knows the difference between titles-baptism and baptism in the name of Jesus. If he doesn't then find someone who does know the difference. Simple.
      Ask yourself:
Is your obedience to Lord Jesus such that you will choose to follow his command to be born of water and Spirit per John 3: v5 thru v7 ?
Think friend before you respond hastily in opposition to what I've written. You can oppose me if you're so inclined, but you won't have script supporting titles-baptism nor for the so-called holy trinity.
Revelation 1: v8 ... I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Isaiah 44: v8 ... Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. "Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any."
Isaiah 45: v5 ... I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
Isaiah 45: v6 ... That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
Isaiah 45: v18 ... For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: "I am the LORD; and there is none else."
Isaiah 45: v21 ... Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and "there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me."
Isaiah 45: v22 ... Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for "I am God, and there is none else."
Peace of Lord Jesus upon you and yours.

Haggai 1v6 Ye have sown much and bought in little, ye eat but ye have not enough, ye drink but ye are not filled with drink, ye clothe you but there is none warm and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. I remember when I first read this thinking how well it sums up consumerism, especially the last phrase of the verse. A down-to-earth presentation where there was not a thing said that I could fault, including mortgages not really being a debt. Those who do have a problem with that should read their Bibles a bit more thoroughly - Jesus in one of His parables talks about a money lender who cancelled contracts for two borrowers that couldn't pay. Many thanks David for enabling this to be available on-line.

Just more this, JESUS never said it is impossible to STAY rich in kingdom of God. But he said it's hard to Enter. So ultimately if u enter into kingdom, prosperity is life style.
Because in kingdom you are under a king and if u are a citizen of a kingdom everything is added to u..

Besides what I commented there’s also the fact 2 Timothy 3:16 “ All scriptures was breathed by God…”
So it can not be a mistake by the writers to write Sheal as the grave.
For Job himself said in Job 19:25-27 “ for I know that my redeemer lives , and at the last he will stand upon the Earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God , whom I shall see for myself , and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart thinks within me. “
So I feel the Old Testament saints knew they go to heaven in a later date… time of the end and then come back to a new earth to rule as kings and priests. And I do feel they was sleeping. And personally feel they and all will rise at the coming of our Lord. He will shout like a trumpet and the dead will rise first then we the living , if we are alive will be caught up to meet them in the clouds! It will be a Glorious Day for our God! All Honor and Glory to him! ❤️‍🔥✝️❤️‍🔥 I love our Lord YESHUA!

This was recorded in Singapore in 2013 - a Q+A session followed the talk. A stock exchange/hedge fund trader asked /said to David quite pointedly " Are you saying that my job is gambling ?!?!?!
To which David said - "if you are making money whilst some one else loses". then yes ....... that man later became very unsettled in his work after that he had heard ......he gave up his high paid job and became a Missionary in China
I know because that man later made contact and said whilst" it was a very hard message for him to hear" - and "not a message he wanted to hear" ...........- it was very much.................. "what he needed to hear " The Lord works in mysterious ways

    Mark
    Chapter 5
1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
    10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
    15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.
25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.
27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

While I agree that elders who teach and preach are deserving of a salary, the numbers need to be calculated so we're talking about something reasonable. If a 2,000-person assembly has 10 elders, and you pay each a salary of $120,000, that's only $50 a month per congregant. Then the cost of maintaining the facility should be available to everyone so that cost can be divided. No more hiding behind the teaching that the pastor needs the "tithe" (which was for the Levitical priesthood) so he can buy another plane.

    Proverbs
    Chapter 10
1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
3 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
10 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
27 The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
29 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

The Rich man represented the Pharisees. It’s in the context before the allegory of The Rich man and Lazarus. The Pharisees always looked down on the poor and devoured the houses of the widows! Recalled that even during prayers the Pharisees would say out loud “ Oh I thank God I’m not like this Tax collector!” A sinner! “ so in the future the table will be turned! The Pharisees who don’t believe in who Jesus was , will not be in heaven and yet the poor people who believed will be sitting in thrones! And you can imagine how these Pharisees feel? Seeing they lost everything! They didn’t Even Believe that Jesus came back from the dead and now the Pharisees or Rich man is really feeling the heat! Recall that they believed only in Moses. And in the Law the priest would sprinkle blood on everything even the people. And even Aaron and his sons had to take the lambs blood and put it on the thumbs and Toes. And here it is this Rich Ruler begging for Lazarus basically to try to get him out of his situation . It’s to late.

We are heading into a lot of economic pain and to invest right now looks very gloomy, sure a lot of sales will be happening during the pain but to gain will take decades.
So, trading, is trading not investing in an idea just for a shorter span of time? You buy in, or you bet against you exchange positions with the other and wait for where you think a fair value is and exit. Investing is also exchanging positions with someone, if you bought aapl at 100 then sold for 250 and then it goes back down to 150 for the other person, isn't that the same thing as trading just over a larger span of time?

Saying mortgage is not a debt is really a slight of hand and at best is the type of reasoning that Greek sophistry is made of.
It IS a debt borrowed against your life and strength-"The borrower is SLAVE to the LEANDER".
This is not in keeping with spirit of both the old nor New Testaments. How can we teach contentment and still accept the practice of mortgaging among Christians. And I beg any man to check and see if the modern day mortgage is not the source of great financial, moral, mental, emotional, social and spiritual ruin among church folk.

    Isaiah
    Chapter 2
1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
    20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

I agree with what he says, with one exception: saving money in the bank for 0% interest rate is not a great idea, especially when inflation is 5%. For the same reason I would never consider contributing to a private pension (it is also unsustainable to work 35 years, then collect pension for 20 years; the system was originally designed for 3-5 years pension after retirement if I remember well. This combined with an aging population is a recipe for disaster, no thanks for me)

    • @DavidPawsonMinistry
      @DavidPawsonMinistry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hi this is not the place to promote private pensions but let me say it is wise to save for the future
      - the Bible teaches us to do so in the '''Josephs principle'' when Joseph instruct people to stocked up the store houses for the famine that was to come.
If you save in a private pension scheme for 30 years you can expect to collect for many many years and 20 years is achievable. Its not just what you save but your Employer will also contribute to your pension.
The goal and many succeed is to build up an investment that can grow and generate dividends that will sustain you in your old age, its not about just drawing down the capital you have saved.
Good private pension schemes are managed by very capable people and your investments, if managed wisely, will increase over time - unlike a bank account offering 0% interest.
Pray about it and ask the Lord to guide you how to stock up your storehouse for the future and be open to what the Lord advises

@@DavidPawsonMinistry Thank you for your reply; you certainly gave me food for thought. So much so, that I have a few observations:
I read Joseph's story again and couldn't help but noticing some facts:
1)This is a story about a national emergency plan, not a personal retirement plan
2)We don't know if the common Egiptan folks had the knowledge of the famine to come, or was this Intel only known by a few in Pharaoh court. Regardless, the famine took the people by surprise.
      3) The folks had real assets that they traded for food , like silver, cattle, land and finally themselves (by contrast most of us today have liabilities like rent or mortgage, a car, student loan debt etc)
4)Pharaoh used this crisis to his advantage. When it was all over, he owned Egypt and its inhabitants. The only ones who didn't become slaves were the priests and presumably Joseph's relatives.
So I would conclude that food is what you really need, all the other assets are going to get traded for food sooner or later. Unfortunately food is also perishable so you still need other assets long term. Plus our society today is a lot more complex and you have other needs as well.
On a side note: we Christians are called to speak the truth in all circumstances, including when the government steals money from savers through the hidden tax called inflation. Should it bother us that Pound Sterling lost, over time, 99% of its original value (it used to be equivalent to 1/2 kilo of silver, as the name suggests). Is it moral to save inside of a system based on theft?

@@eusuntaici Where many individuals don't have a pension it becomes a national burden but thats not the Joseph Principle - the Principle is not to consume/spend everything you have but put some aside for a rainy dat ie the future.
Compare this with Jesus parable of the talents - dont bury what God gives you, but use all your resources wisely and enable them to grow.
Pharaoh trusted Joseph and gave hm authority - Im sure many others did not trust Joseph and disagreed with him - no-one but Joseph had the assurance from God the famine would come and Joseph was not surprised when the famine came nor when it came - yes it took many by surprise.
A house is an asset which we normally one would expect to grow in value. I have never purchased a new car because I consider it vanity and it loses money.
Its not just about physical goods - its also about skills and knowledge which can be used to generate wealth - I go out to work using my hands and knowledge /skills to generate income to pay for food and a home. I dont rely on trading my silver and cattle for food - I generate income that pays for a roof over my head and food on my table
Paul made tents so he would not be a burden on the Church ...oh and by the way there is no mention of retirement in the Bible. The is the principle we should give to those in need and who are less fortunate than ourselves.
Inflation is as much a factor of 1. greed and wage increases which causes prices to rise - and a lack of confidence by other Countries in our own, which causes currency to fall in value ........ we individually have as much a part to play here as ANY Government - who by the way everyone one the age of 16/18 elects ?!? • @Scripture-Man
      @Scripture-Man 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

+albert ho Whether or not a mortgage is debt, it is a necessity for many Christians. The Lord Jesus said that families would be divided because of Him (Luke 12:52 Matt 10:34). Some Christians are thrown out by their families, while others cannot bear to live with people of the darkness, and seek a home of their own. What fellowship does Light have with darkness? (2 Cor 6:14)
In other cases, people get married, and leaving home is the natural, Biblical thing to do when you get married, as the Lord said:
      Genesis 2:24
"Therefore a man shall leave his mother and his father and cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh"
So even if a mortgage is debt, there are many reasons why it is necessary. Even if a man on minimum wage saved up half his salary, it would still take him over 20 years before he could afford even a basic apartment. That is too long for a young couple to wait before they can make a home together. (And no one could live on half his salary anyway.)

i've seen christians wanting to get rich quick investing in houses expecting to benefit from capital appreciation in the ongoing housing boom. They get tenants to pay for their mortgages, but they also ask for social security benefits where they are negatively geared (via borrowed funds - ie DEBT) in housing investments. Pawson's view that mortgage is not debt if it's for your own housing purposes is a bit of specious thinking, as is the view that borrowing for consumer goods is bad. Biblically debt is not evil unless it is used as a means by either party to take advantage on the other.

    • @CP-zb3ky
      @CP-zb3ky 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

albert ho The alternative would be to enter into a long term lease for a house which is arguably more of a debt (i.e. long term commitment to pay rent and you don't even own the asset! now that's real debt on a NET basis) than a home mortgage that presumably is less than the value of the property, unless you believe Christians should all be homeless and sleep on the streets? I agree with Pawson a mortgage on your own property, unless you obtain loans greater than its value or beyond what you're able to pay back, is not debt on a net basis, especially compared with the alternatives.

The history of money he gives is somewhat wrong. The world didn't go straight from barter to money. Rather, an intermediate period involved the use of metals as a medium of exchange according to their weight. Money was specifically bits of metal that were stamped to guarantee their weight and purity. That was what was invented in Lydia by Croessos. Then the value of the money was separated from the metals and invested in the tokens themselves.

    • @SeanusAurelius
      @SeanusAurelius 3 ปีที่แล้ว

In fairness, barter largely persisted alongside the intermediate period, did it not? And the value of coins was the same as their metal value for many centuries, debasing the currency was a later innovation. In any event, I think he only alludes to the history of money for context, and only really the bare minimum needed to inform the rest of his talk on the Bible, a topic which he really does know very thoroughly.

Hebrews 11:13 “ These all died in FAITH, not having recieved the things promised, But having SEEN them and greeted them from afar , and having acknowledged that they were STRANGERS and Exiles on the Earth. “
So Paul here had just mentioned previous verses about Abraham , Sarah, Jacob Isaac and so forth. They all knew . Even Martha understood there would be the resurrection on the Last Day.

Again I love them from day one as they took us in as family. But to have a Pastor like David Pawson!!! That be amazing! What denomination was he? I know he passed away. 🙏🏼
      Thank you

Well you many not feel Heaven needs to be new but Jesus tells us in
Rev Chapt 21 - And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away
Its not what we feel that matters but but what is Biblical Truth - remember the Devil had access to the Old Heaven

Money to meet our physical needs is of God money to meet our emotional needs is of the devil. Its basis is fear its result is greed.

To have plenty of money doesnt mean greed isnt it? Is Mr Bill Gate greedy? I am a Christian, some skeptic christians, even pastors are so narrow minded and so ignorant that he/she only know about his own interpretation about money. why not be open up a little bit and see a bigger picture. anyway ingrant is a sin isnt it?

The only thing wrong with being rich is the heart of the rich person. If a person with a godly heart becomes rich and retains that godly heart and does not give in to the temptation of wealth, as David Pawson elaborated on, then there is no issue with being rich. Not all will be rich, but I believe it is very wrong for Christians to assume that God wants us in poverty or with just enough. We should have enough for our own self, family, to give, to invest into the Kingdom of God (i.e., ministries, churches, etc.). A Christian may desire to own many houses to provide shelter for the poor or the like. Being rich is not the problem. It is the heart that is the ultimate issue.

If the holy Spirit doesn't show you that David is humble and a godly man... something is wrong.

Yeah…. A laborer is worthy of his wages. He labors to keep our souls and spirits and bodies transformed and aligned to the lord.
We should pay for that, unfortunately we don’t. But we did, It would be worth every dime.
Find a transforming thing to expend on.

Jesus told the rich man to give away all he had and Paul wrote that no one should have more than they need, and no one should be in need. have you followed their example? I didn't think so.

Rom 3:23-24 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins
Of whom are you addressing your question ?
We are all guilty of this charge, myself included! - however if there was one man today who could deliver this bible teaching, without being called a hypocrite it was David Pawson, A man did not have more than he needed, a man that was never in need - a man who lived by faith and a man who feared God.
A man who never sought fame nor fortune, as many do, a humble man, a great Bible teacher who has given away his knowledge, free of charge to everyone
