When you look up "actor" in the dictionary, they should have Mr. Randall's picture there. What a great guy, great actor. What joy and laughter you've brought to millions. Thanks
I met and served dinner toTony Randall when he did the tent show "The Odd Couple" at Smithville Inn in New Jersey. He was with Glugman and did not allow anyone to smoke at the table. He sent his gingerale back as he thought it was flat. Lol !
I remember Tony Randall on Jack Paar (I saw it live on tv) telling the story of the overwhelming number of terns that had taken over Fire Island - so bad, that locals were throwing stones at them so that in the end, no tern was left unstoned! Great wit - I can't forget that joke.
I kind of obsess sometimes abt m fave actoyrs actresses Tony Randell being among them Also Robert Mitchum etc Hey Zou Girls and Guys Am I THE only One who thinks that these were soooo much BETTER than today s _
I think that Holdenon3 is correct, and that Mr. Randall actually said, “I would never use the word ‘impact’ as a verb, INtransitive” (although it certainly sounds like “transitive”), or else that he misspoke, for to say “impacted ON” is to use that verb in the intransitive, rather than transitive sense. Regardless of whether he did say “transitive”, I think he certainly would have MEANT to say “intransitive” (he was on the American Heritage Dictionary Usage Panel).
Were these interviews required by the Pentagon or something? They're overly antiseptic and prim and the wonderful subjects in these interviews seem like they've been dragged before a tribunal.

Beautiful voice. I love to just listen to him. Thanks for the upload.
Thank you Mr. Randall & Mr. Klugmann for all that you've given us through your acting performances! Your kind will never come this way again.
What a great voice! Listen to those pipes. Orson Welles had a great set of pipes as well.
what great genes, he's 78 and looks and sounds great...R.I.P. Mr. Randall
Personally knew Tony in only a peripheral way and he was an extraordinarily good person.
I miss him dearly.
Three minutes in: "I would use 'impacted' as a verb, intransitive..." .
This is why I clicked on this video. I adore listening to Tony Randall.

Tony Randall died 17 May 2005; Jack Klugman is, to the best of my knowledge which isn't much, still alive.
I think he died in 2004, actually. Klugman is, indeed, still alive.
