    Best tips I can give.
Get yourself some fluorescent water dye (used for tanker leaks and pools)
Start by going around the drains for the vehicles dumping water (with dye) directly into the drains
Check the inside with a UV light.
Always takes me less than 20 minutes to find the leak point.
Last vehicle I did a check on the dealer had the car for 4 days and couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from told the owner it was the windshield and just make an insurance claim.
Took me 10 minutes to find the hood cable came out of a retainer clip which took the grommet out of the firewall (directly below the windshield drain on the driver side) water just followed the cable directly into the cabin and dripped into the driver side footwell.

Would also like to point out that a wet footwell in a manual transmission car near the pedals is likely a sign of a leaking master cylinder. Also, on BMW E39 sometimes water can pour out onto your feet after long drives with the AC on. Blow your ac drain lines out.

My car has accumulated water in the foot rest well in the passengers rear side i cleaned all the car from leaves and debris in any of the entry holes in the sunroof and windshields. The issue is that while cleaning some leaves might have fallen inside the drain pipe i don't know if they got stuck in the bottom. How can I take them out? Also can you kindly please show us all the drain holes of the car ? Right now the water is still standing under the carpet and i can't take it out . The biggest issue is that the bottom drains are clogged and the water won't come out. !

2000 BMW 750iL water is collecting in the rear driver's side footwell. Can't seem to determine how it's getting in. When we recently had the headliner out to recover it we checked all sunroof drains and hose and everything was good. So how is the water getting in to just that one particular area?
