Shouldn't you first convert the CFG to CNF? you can't use CYK when a variable produces two terminal symbols.

I thought so too, but ran it in CNF and got the exact same results. I guess she just skips some steps by letting two terminals in a rule. As for the starting variable appearing on the right side of a rule, I don't know how this affects the algorithm.

Most definitely. But you can get "lucky" and the algorithm can still work. But generally, you have to.

I like the diagram, the voice but it must convert the Context Free Grammar (CFG) to Chomsky Normal Form (CNF) before executing the algorithm

This is not how you do it. You need to use the values from the table rather than referring to the rules for every substring
