This is amazing. Sucks that people don't realize the obvious Doug joke for the title. It may be about time you, Hoovie, and Doug have a roundtable for Vin Wiki and blow TH-cam wide open.
Bought the Lego porsche, it took me and two kids 3 weekends to assemble. Great for family activity They have lights and motors for Chiron and Porsche on Amazon
Openning all the packages before building might seem to be a good idea, but actually makes the building job slower as the bricks are organized in those packages in order to complete the various steps having all is needed handy ;o)
I have this kit and I love it! The gearbox has more than 3 speeds. There is a centre lever that switches between forward, neutral and reverse. In forward you actually have 8 forward speeds to choose from via the paddle shifters. In neutral the drive is disconnected from the engine entirely and in reverse the drive bypasses the 8 speed paddle shifter operated gearbox and connects the wheels to the engine making it turn the opposite way. So yeah, 8 forward speeds, neutral and reverse are all fully operational in this amazing kit.
@@robertjusic9097 Yeah it's incredible !!!! In Strasbourg in France one is exposed and I promise you my friend there are big caps between the door and the front panels...
Just open your eyes and if you have got any taste you will not buy one! It's hideous, the exterior is a total let down, yes I know it's lego but would it have killed them as a brand to give you some flat panels and plastic glass, the interior/engine/ gearbox is more than enough, I'm actually surprised they didn't build the tyres out of small blocks 😂, you can get better models with better details and lighting made from better materials that you can build with your kids and they look a billion times better when finished, just look on TH-cam it's full of them, I'd rather buy 3/4/5 airfix models of cars with paint to build with the kids out of $350 dollars and have something to do for the next six months than 1 week of this over priced ugly monstrosity!!!
I feel like organizing takes as much if not more time than just finding the pieces, especially considering it's not hard to find the pieces. And just use a bowl or, what I did, paper plate where the edges curve up. Holds all the pieces in quite easily, and with the paper plate, you can spread out the pieces more, so even easier
Well I mean, some TH-cam channel, which is pretty well known but the name isn’t crossing my head right now, made it into a RC car and made it go 41 mph. Not bad for something built out of legos and basically replicated the real one in 1:8 scale
This looks really fun. The engine is soo sick. I’m a little disappointed you didn’t show us the time lapse of the whole build. None the less, still pretty cool.
315 pages plus 400 pages is almost a thousand pages of instruction Not afraid of rounding up except for when it comes to the 3,599 pieces You rock, dude! 👍🏻
Adam Savage did not invent categorising parts, it is simply the logical thing to do. I have always done this, and I have been making Lego models for almost forty-years.
I'm 27 and I just got this same Chiron kit. I can hardly wait to start building it. Freddie and I have lots in common... we buy "cheap" expensive cars and make them great.
Lol in my experience (building the largest LEGO technic set ever) the time spent sorting takes up more time than just finding the piece I need in a pile. Like the bags are numbered and say there are 4 bags numbered 1 than you put each bag in its own pile it’s pretty decently sorted by size and all of each kind of piece is only in one pile
GK brickworks an if you have “trained” professionals like JerryRigEverything and Doug DeMuro, then it’ll take you a solid 10 hours. And then Doug will review before Zach does a durability test. I’m pretty sure that the “glass” will scratch at a level 9, with deeper grooves at a level 10. Doug will easily give it a solid 80 out of 100, all points would come from reliability. We all know how much Doug loves his Practicality part, and definitely mostly bases it on reliability

Not to sure about the organising as the bags are numbered in order makes it easy enough anyway. Each to their own I guess. For the price I would like some working lights. Good video 👍
Currently reduced to only £249.99 in Smyths Toys in the U.K.! I very almost bought a kit when shopping for my Son for Christmas, but don’t have the spare cash at the mo! I have the GT3 already and loads of the retro Technic Cars, so need this in my collection. Thanks for sharing the Bugatti Chiron build up. Just right on it right now (after the 911 SRS). Looks gorgeous and those details on the gearbox of the Bugatti are just amazing !
If you just do numbered bags in order and make separate piles for the bags in those numbered bags (smaller parts) it doesn't take long to find parts. And Lego already practically sorts it for you by size and sometimes type. I just did that standard way for building my ucs slave 1 this morning. 20 hundred part set; took me 2.5 hours. I started at 8:00 am and finished before lunch. Sorting by type of part is a waste of time, an will take forever with larger sets of 800+ pieces.
