one of the best songs they have written. this album is a masterpiece but this song....man, so many memories. Possibly not a better band with a better cult following than Brand New
If you don't already know you should look up the meaning of this song. It's really amazing when you realize how the lyrics tie in with the story, it makes the song even better.
"never have to buy adjacent plots of earth, never have to rot together underneath dirt, never have to lose my baby in the crowd, I should be laughing right now, ...Jesus Christ, that's a pretty face."
Oh God I know people were literally trashing Brand New to me when TDAG came out and it is literally a masterpiece in my mind, and will be. My kids will grow up on this album.
I went to see them twice on this tour and this is my favourite song. Both times they didn't play it! Gutted I didn't get to see it! Videos second best to it though. :) Amazing!
So true! I had lots of fun on Saturday but Sunday was so much better... they were also more receptive and communicative with the crowd. And the ending was... WOAH.
I like Daisy. I don't think it was TDAG but there are some really cool aspects of that album and of course the passion involved in all of Brand New's writing is still intact. It was a really dark album but I still rock out to it, in fact I just listened to it the other day. I'm ready for a new album though. They are past their 3 year mark lol.
Hey, I'm just wondering (not criticizing), did it sound like the mic was too quiet during the chorus at the live performance? Because in the video the instruments seem to block out his voice during the louder parts of the song.

And can you believe there are people that loved Deja and hated The Devil and God when it came out? It's one of my favorite albums of all time.
Devil and god has a lot more of a folky vibe on some songs. Deja was a lot more pop punky so maybe that’s why
TDAG is a masterpiece. Deja is great but TDAG brought something raw
I hated it for the first listen but it’s become my favourite album of theirs (up till Bangkok)
Favorite band ever
The crowd singing the "I love you so much" part makes this song so much better live.
Do they know what it's really about though?

i grew up in a world of Garage, grime and RnB (i'm from london) found brand new when i was 13... now 30 and this still slaps
The way they segued into Jesus Christ at the end was fucking magical dude
you are literally standing next to me!!!
Oh man, that ending is... perfection.
"never have to buy adjacent plots of earth,

I wish I'd be there so badly
My god that solo is always so intense.
A powerful sing-along with Jessie... very cool
Okay, I got chills at the end.
fucking amazing song

Jesus, he fucking nails that solo.
I went to the Bristol gig on this tour, even watching the videos from Roundhose are making me remember it!
