Spencer is the most powerful member of Smosh because he can correct his own mistakes in post production while exaggerating others' mistakes. It's the pettiness I live for.

honestly though, I saw vids with Courtney Freakin’ Miller so early on in discovering Smosh that I was actually SO confused when I learned who the Actual Courtney was lmao
This character was my first impression of Shayne as Spencer. I love it. My friends and I used to do this exact character in high school.

This literally just looks like two brothers playing video games to settle an argument. The Chosen is the older brother who takes video games way too seriously and thinks anime is a personality trait; and Spencer is the younger brother who’s straight chillin, definitely did drugs in high school and turned out way more socially adept than his older brother

If you're not familiar with Shayne's character "Spencer Agnew/The Chosen" I guess I can see why you would think that.

I love that Shane can usually keep a straight face through most of his characters, only cracking now and then. But The Chosen just does something to him that he has trouble not breaking character and frankly I fucking love it.
Spenser Agnew aka The Chosen might just be Shayne's best character of all time, period.
Edit: Also the fact he laughs at his own jokes makes it even better.

The fact that Shane is slowly making characters based off of every SMOSH employee is hilarious. We have Courtney and now Spencer. He’s slowly conquering them all.
I want to see the cast members each create a new "cooler" character with another cast member's name and have them all duel.

I genuinely kind of love how The Chosen slowly went from being "Spencer" to just "The Chosen" and it's in direct correlation to Spencer appearing more along side The Chosen and I just feel it's like a wholesome handshake agreement between two friends.
