Maybe it’s because their characters are so distinct and bounce off of each other so well, and they’ve had these characters for a while now. I like to think that their characters are just so weird that other kids won’t hang out with them, and through these two’s rivalry they realize that they actually get along and like hanging out. And of course since Shayne and Damien are actually good friends, that shows through well and easily.
It’s great. That’s sometimes how I feel when I play dnd with my friends

See the thing is I played Bakugan with my sister when it first came out (she was of the target age bracket so it was perfect)
None of this is what I remember at all, somehow they made the game ACTIVELY WORSE.
What I do recall is the absolute agony that folding those god-accursed things back into their orbular forms. No amount of transformers I had as a kid could have prepared me for that.

Damien and Shayne’s friendship on set and outside of work are astounding. I love their acting and friendship since they seem to just meld so well together.

Very social, yet awkward, but doesn’t really care what people think. Meanwhile The Chosen lives a solitary life, almost like a monk, and sees potential friends and partners as possible distractions to his goal.
With the knowledge that Shayne and Damien have Warhammer collections, I'd want these two to fight in a battle of 40k. I know that 40k games take literal hours, but I can dream.

Basically, augustus wanted The Chosen's sword which is important to the chosen. You would expect something valuable in return, but he hits him with "i've got fingernail polish" lmao
Augustus and the Chosen have such intense rivaling energies. This is truly a legendary battle.
The chosen actually comes across as cool when in the same room as Augustus
2 warriors, with defensiveness issues, secretly just wanting friendship, battle to see who can open up first. They way Augustus drops in the odd sweet line is heart melting! and Chosen, the nail polish was clearly part of Augustus's identity and meant something to him. Now play nice and appreciate him!
Chosen and Augustus are the kids who were besties on elementary but later drifted apart because of some petty fight but still lowkey want to hang out again
