Hi there, this is usefull. Quick question. I am looking forward to stay in a hotel for few days and find a permanent accommodation. Can we register at the commune that the hotel is located in ? And after getting permanent accommodation how do we change the address thstvwe have given to the commune at the time of registering?

Yes you need to register in the commune as per the hotel location. Later based on new location you need to visit that region’s commune with older declaration documents and they will update it. This process you need to do every time you change your address. Even if you are changing location after 1 year or in the same region. Address in commune should be always up to date

What is the name of the hotel where you stayed? Also, how was it?

We stayed in NH hotel which is 2 min walk from airport. It was quite and good. However you could opt for some hotel which is near to office like Mercure or something near city centre. It will be very convenient. Try to avoid Gare area.

Then when did you exactly shift to an airbnb?
Even I’m travelling on 28th of this month
I booked hotel for 5 days and airbnb for 9 days
Do we need hotel for so many days or just 1-2 days hotel and then airbnb till we get permanent accommodation?

If you are getting airbnb in 1-2 days then no need to stay longer in hotel. Airbnb stay you could increase as it could easily take 20 days to get something permanent. Please refer earlier videos for more info on this - th-cam.com/video/SClPmnExUIQ/w-d-xo.html

NH hotel Luxembourg. It’s 2 min walking from airport but the commune is in bit outer for this location as we showed in video. You could opt for Mercure or Novotel or anything in centre and so the commune will be in centre.

They have very good relocation package. They give option for lump sum or relocation package. They will guide you at each step.
