Although RE4 is a Classic Masterpiece that was a massive influence I'm not sure how Capcom can Remake it but we will have to wait. To me they need to make Ashley less annoying, make you play Luis as a extra mode, plus make leon move when shooting. Not to mention bring in new weapons from the Merchant but still have that perfect balance of horror and action.
why can't capcom use the old game engine and make new RE titles with it like sonic mania? it's cheap to make and it doesn't need much resources, AND appeases the fans. 3 birds in one stone
Because MT Framework can't handle current gen graphics and lighting on consoles, besides, the RE Engine was designed to be much more efficient and better optimized. You want them to end up like Bethesda?

First up, RE1 Remake doesn't use the same engine as the original three games, it uses the same engine as RE4. Second, if you're talking about fixed camera angles, pre-rendered backgrounds, and tank controls, that can literally be done with any engine, RE Engine included. Third, just because Capcom doesn't appeal to your narrowminded demographic, doesn't mean they are greedy. Video games change and evolve all the time, if they don't, they become stagnant and players lose interest (Take a look at the sales of every RE game between RE2 Original and RE4 when they first released if you don't believe me). It's only greedy if they practice greedy business decisions like on-disc dlc or having us pay for stuff already featured in previous games. Capcom has rarely been doing either of those things. Fourth, while RE Remake is a good remake to be sure, taking that route with RE4 wouldn't work because it would be just a reboot and not a remake. I expect that when a game called RE4 Remake comes out, it should be RE4 original redone and improved.
