Loved watching this. Well done both. I was quite a way behind at 3:07 and it fell apart about mile 20. Felt same feelings as you guys. You both ground out sub 3s which is an amazing achievement, knowing that course, and something you will look back on with pride. Hope to be back there too
Thank you so much and really glad you enjoyed the video. We loved the event and thought it was really organised! Would definitely recommend, well done on your run!
I live in Chester and was marshalling on the day. Thanks for being so positive about the event organisation. We think it’s a great little marathon. Hope to see you back and look forward to your future content.
Please pass on our thank you's to the rest of the team, it's a brilliant marathon and despite it being a difficult course, it is really scenic. Awesome organisation and the marshalls were so supportive. Thanks for watching!
Class going lads, loved following the journey…Remember this …. The marathon is a bank and money is time . Too many people steal time in the first half of the race, thinking it’s free . The marathon will give it to you - no problem. The thing is at some point the marathon will want repaying. It won’t ask for it nicely, it will rip it from you . Also it won’t just take the time you owe, it will take your soul -your everything. Never owe the bank money, race smart and reap the rewards . Big respect boys - we go again .
Absolutely spot on and brilliantly put. Next time I plan to better equipped and turn up with more cash in the bank! All eyes on Manchester in April all being well. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed! 👊
Excellent run for you , as a back of the pack runner I would be happy at get that time of 2:30 running a half marathon, I will never run a marathon, 10K is my favourite distance, once again congratulations 🏃🏾✔️✔️
@@alanmorr3635 thanks ever so much for watching and really glad you enjoyed. They sure are a difficult distance but the feeling when finishing is amazing!
Well done both, looked quite a grim course tbf and you've made sure I never put that race on my bucket list 😂😂 still both solidly under sub 3 which is still insane speed 🔥
Well done TQ & KQ... brilliant racing! Let all that training sink in, marathons are never easy but you conquered the distance once again! Onto the next one boys
Thanks for watching Andy! 👊 they are savage but took huge inspiration in this block from your build to Abingdon, hopefully all comes together on the day for you! 🙌
Well done lads, great running and serious times, the taughts of running a marathon and actually doing it are worlds apart, dublin marathon for me in a few weeks 🤞
😂😂 that intro and all the telly clips were brilliant! Excellent running, both. 💪💪 Love the self talk at mile 21. The course seemed quite tough in places.
Top running both. Bloody superheroes compared to us mere mortals and heartening to see that even sub-3hr runners feel like they relatively have tough moments, struggle and grizz through it. Will remind myself of that during my first marathon in Manchester in April. 🦖🤙
2hrs 54! bloody hell mate that class. I am running my 1st next week at York. Just going to get round. NO need to put any pressure on your self. just enjoy the ride mate.
Absolutely awesome video boys. Really encapsulated the frustration of a Sunday! Chester is a tough course and was so good to see you lads do well. 25 croissants 😂
Well done lads, anything sub3 is impressive in my view and an aspiration for many many runners. A PB is always nice, but finishing is an achievement in its own right. Enjoy the recovery and some more croissants.
Well done both. Though you both seem disappointed.. you should be so proud your easing sub 3hr marathons even when your not 100%!. Thats for sharing the videos :) x
@@Q.OnTheRun great to have the ambition but you guys are also humble too.. i came in just under 3:30 in my 1st marathon and cant wait to shave that down over the next couple of years. Videos like yours regularly keeps me motivated. Thanks guys x
Well done you two, great running. Sub three hours is a real achievement. 👊💥 Marathons are so hard, no matter what level it just gets you. 🥵 At least you didn’t have the final kicker, you walked past Pepper Street multi storey car park…. bloody expensive. 😡
@@Q.OnTheRun one marathon a year is enough for anyone, I like a spring one to get fit for the Sexarathon. Deffo shorter stuff is better, but you’ll benefit in those from all the training you’ve done. Are you doing Podium 5k in November?
Great video, first time watching your channel. Do you think you "struggled" (relative to us mid pack runners) because of fitness/fuelling/pacing or was it the course? Or bit of everything?
Thanks for watching! A culmination of things, my prep wasn’t all there and it certainly wasn’t prepped for the course as it’s an undulating difficult marathon. Going into Spring 24’s Manchester build up, I’ve got a more structured plan. This one was a ‘test of the water’ to see whether I could do it. Thanks for stopping by!
Great to meet you Todd at the finish. Thanks for having the photo. I finished just behind you, it was my 100th marathon.
Superb achievement, great to meet you!
I see Eliud Kipchoge entered the race at 4:50 lol Great video well done!
Haha! Came out of nowhere 👀 - thanks for watching mate!
Yeah spotted him, over the barriers without a race number the turkey. Came to see if anyone other that that lady saw him 😂.
