Hey bud, another awesome video! I met you on friday afternoon on the backside of Navajo. My name is Mike and Im from San Diego. I introduced myself and we chatted for a few minutes but I never caught your name..ahhahhahhah it was cool to meet you. Thanks again for the great videos and more importantly , thank you for keeping us riders/skiers safe and for keeping the mountain in such good condition. We'll be back in 5 weeks...im literally counting the days!!!
Hey Mike, it was awesome to meet you, highlight of my day. My name is Shannon, my wife and I are from the San Diego area, prior to moving to Cedar City eight years ago for me to go to flight school/university. I should have done a quick interview with you that day, maybe next time. See you in five weeks man!
As far as poles go, I use them normally but not when I'm carrying things, or need my hands to fix something. I can really only speak for myself on that. We occasionally deal with security and regulation enforcement, generally most people are good though so that is fairly rare.
Continuing to enjoy your videos - one question - are all of the patrollers full time/paid or do you have a combination of full time and volunteer patrollers ?
Hi Mark, I hadn't seen your question till just now, I apologise for the delay. We have part-time and full-time Ski Patrollers at Brian Head, no volunteers at this point. We have started a new thing that we are calling "Prospect Day" wherein people that are interested in becoming a Patroller can shadow one of us for a day. This allows us to get to know a person and lets a prospect see if the job might be something they'd like to do as a career path. I think it's a great it's a great idea. Let us know if that is something you'd like to do if you live in the area.

Why do some patrollers have ski poles and others don’t? And do you guys handle security stuff as well?
