Love your tutorials! What helped me with dpns (before learning magic loop) is to knit a few stitches further on each needle while working sections like the foot and leg. This makes the transfer from needle to needle in a different place each round. If you use a stitch marker for the BOR, then it's easy to rearrange the needles for the heels. Hope this helps!

I use the Portuguese Knitting Method (because I have arthritis), so my right hand has the working yarn around the middle finger and then I flip the yarn over my right needle with my left thumb. When the new stitch is pulled through the stitch on the left needle my tension is controlled by both hands so ladders don't happen like they did when I used to use the Continental method.

I’d really like to see how you started on magic loop for thinner yarn having more than 60 stitches. I can’t find any instructional videos that demonstrate magic loop in this way. Every ML instructional video uses very few stitches and thicker yarn which is pretty easy to me. I have a difficult time when there a lot of tiny stitches, the whole thing becomes very unwieldy. Is that why no one wants to show this? If you can make a video showing this, I would be immensely appreciative. Thank you for your lovely videos. I like your way of teaching.

If I recall, I have at least 72 sts on the needle in this video. Thanks for watching!

@@PurlTogether you are absolutely right, and I’m sorry. I didn’t watch this video as close as I should have. I’m a little frustrated because my magic loop is not cooperating. Thank you for your help and for the video, it’s very helpfully. Can I ask you one question? Why does it sometimes look as if there are no stitches at either end of my joins (the ends and beginnings of each side of stitches). I haven’t been able to figure out why this would happen.

I have never had an issue until I switched to Addi flexi flips. Now one side has ladders and the other side is too tight. 😣😭🤦🏼‍♀️

I tend to get a ladder by my k2tg on a gusset/toe decrease. I'm left handed, so i do it on the opposite side (where right handers will do a ssk). Is there a method I'm missing which would prevent this?

I think you just need to make sure that the cable, or the needle you've just finished working with is snug, regardless of which hand is your working needle.

I’m knitting socks similar to yours in this video and I keep getting ladders on the purl stitches in my 3x1 rib. It’s not happening at a needle joint or anything. How do I fix this
