How did you decide to visit that location?
Hi @mrsjuliemasse, We arrived in Rome from Madrid and wanted to chill out at a beach location close by. Since we had been to Rome previously, we figured we'd catch it on the way back or at another time. Anzio is a sweet place and very clean. We took a taxi (the hotel arranged it for us) and it was about an hour or so from Rome.

@@mrsjuliemasse You are welcome! It seemed that during the week, Anzio was reasonably free of tourists. Then again, we visited in the shoulder season (April) which was helpful. That being said the weekends WERE busy (day trippers from Rome and elsewhere would come) and we happened to be there on Liberation Day, a HUGE holiday and THAT was busy. But from our hotel balcony we could watch the foot traffic below, have a lunch or even happy hour while looking out at the sea. Lovely.
